I was told by my dentist that I was in need of a root canal, they referred me to a different office…read morewho I could only get in on Friday, but I was referred to Berg by multiple people who had gone here before. They told me that it was painless, quick, and simply the best. And they had a cancellation and were able to pencil me in same day! The woman I spoke with was also giving me a break down of insurance things trying to help me save money, but in the end I decided to bite the bullet and come in. Dr Berg had friendly bedside manner, I was told exactly what was going to happen step by step to calm my nerves, but since I had come from a dentist that didn't refer him, he did a sensitivity test which actually showed a different tooth was more sensitive to pain than the one I was brought in to get checked out for. He asked more questions to try to see what was going on and we ended up not having to do a root canal. He gave his recommendations and so far I haven't felt any pain since. He saved me from spending almost $1k since it's the end of the year my insurance was capped so it all would have been out of pocket. I may need to see him later if this doesn't continue to work, so I will update my review if that is the case or if later down the line I'll need a root canal. But I definitely don't understand why there are poor reviews on here...

Even though I was simply a stranger on the phone with my first call, I was out at ease and felt I was in great hands. They were non-judgmental in regards to my extreme anxiety of dental work, explained everything thoroughly beforehand and expertly answered all of my questions to make me feel welcomed and educated. They provide "estimated costs" that seem wildly inaccurate, require payment before procedures, and then quietly hand you additional balances while you're still coming out of anesthesia. Insurance processing is explained in circles, refunds take forever, and asking billing questions is apparently treated as a personal inconvenience to the staff. Funny how payments are immediate when they want money, but refunds suddenly require 30+ days and endless follow-ups. Patients deserve clear communication and honest billing practices -- not confusion and attitude.
