Staff were friendly. Doctor was friendly. Work was done thoroughly and quickly. If ever I need another root canal I will choosing Dr. Berg.

I was told by my dentist that I was in need of a root canal, they referred me to a different office who I could only get in on Friday, but I was referred to Berg by multiple people who had gone here before. They told me that it was painless, quick, and simply the best. And they had a cancellation and were able to pencil me in same day! The woman I spoke with was also giving me a break down of insurance things trying to help me save money, but in the end I decided to bite the bullet and come in. Dr Berg had friendly bedside manner, I was told exactly what was going to happen step by step to calm my nerves, but since I had come from a dentist that didn't refer him, he did a sensitivity test which actually showed a different tooth was more sensitive to pain than the one I was brought in to get checked out for. He asked more questions to try to see what was going on and we ended up not having to do a root canal. He gave his recommendations and so far I haven't felt any pain since. He saved me from spending almost $1k since it's the end of the year my insurance was capped so it all would have been out of pocket. I may need to see him later if this doesn't continue to work, so I will update my review if that is the case or if later down the line I'll need a root canal. But I definitely don't understand why there are poor reviews on here... read more

Leading up to my first root canal I was very nervous and anxiety ridden. From the start I was out at ease between checking in, the nurse was fantastic and the doctor. Overall great experience. 100/100. read more

I witnessed the most unprofessional conduct by a dentist in my 62 years of life. I like many have a level of anxiety when getting dental work done and took the time to explain that to the dentist. I was getting a root canal and tend to grip my own hands together or my arm and admittedly breathe heavier and deeply. This dentist literally threw a child like tantrum half way or 3/4 of the way into the procedure and raises his voice to tell me that he can't keep going on like that and explained what I already knew and that I was breathing hard and had flinched on on a few occasions when I felt pain. He went on to ask if I wanted him to finish or wrap it up where he was at (all in an elevated voice). I had a block in my mouth and completely unable to walk out of there like any other service provider. I will never go back to that office and I would be shocked to find out that his behavior was isolated to me. Hard to believe I was the first patient that showed a high level of discomfort during a root canal. By the way I was in no way complaining during the procedure just dealing with my own anxiety and he must be so arrogant that he made my discomfort an attack on his ability. Too much ego for me! read more

i arrived for my root canal consult with the expectation of returning at another date to accomplish the procedure. However, Dr Gatti was able to accomplish this procedure at this visit. Dr Gatt's expertise in his profession made my experience painless and I was quickly on my way home. I will return to Berg Endodontics in my future if necessary. read more

Note: The one thing that brought it down to 4 stars was that the day before the appointment, someone from the office left a message asking if I could come in earlier. When I returned the call, they said to just come in as scheduled. The next day, they left a message at 7:30 am asking if I could come earlier than my 12:15 appt that day. This was frustrating. I called back and said I wasn't sure I could, but I would try. I spent part of the morning tracking down my dog sitter. I should have just said no. It added more stress to an already stressful appointment. I don't blame the dr for that. It's just an unfortunate situation, and a lesson learned for me. read more

Avoid this place!! I went in for a root canal. The nurse and doctor were both arrogant and condescending. Refused to answer questions, tried rushing through the procedure. Neither would explain what they were doing, just said they were going cut it open and clean it out, then immediately started putting things in my mouth without going over a plan of pain management/relief. While they were shoving things in my mouth, they caused extreme pain to the tooth that was already in excruciating pain. When I made a noise, the doctor said "I'm not doing this, I'm not babysitting" and stormed out of the room. The nurse then proceeded to be condescending saying "it's a root canal, it's not that big of a deal, it's just like getting a cavity filled. I don't know if you need to take anxiety meds before you come in, but we don't do that here". Needless to say I walked out without my procedure getting done. The front desk ladies were nice at least. read more

Berg Endodontics is the finest dental care of any type that I've ever received. I needed a root canal immediately and the staff got me an emergency appointment despite having no history that day. The assistants processed me and got me the scans they needed in a quick and gentle manner. My endodontist was Dr. Gatti. He was a fantastic, gentle natured practicioner with unrivalled bedside manner. He and his assistant got me in the chair and out of it in less than 30 minutes it felt like. Later, when the numbness wore off I was able to call Dr. Gatti AFTER HOURS and he prescribed me antibiotics and steroids to manage the pain! I can't believe I'm saying this but getting a root canal at Berg Endodontics was one of the best customer experiences I've ever had. If you need an endodontist, this is you place to go. read more

AVOID this place! The reviews on multiple websites speak for themselves. Absolutely ZERO bedside manner. Arrogant. No compassion. Rushes through procedure. Makes you feel dumb. I could go on and on about this guy. Don't even bother giving him your time or money. read more

Bad experience. Rude. Didn't want to answer and questions. Didn't want to offer any help, suggestions. Didn't even make a diagnosis which is why I went there. When I asked what I was supposed to do he said "wait". Once he decided I didn't need a root canal he was done. read more

This man is the rudest and most arrogant medical professional that I ever met. All he cares about is how quickly he can your money and then get you in and out of the chair as quick as possible, like it's an oil change. So here is my experience. I was quoted a price which I confirmed twice was doubled once I was in his chair. When I told him that I cant afford double today he looked me dead in face and said " I dont care if you have anything done" and walked out of the room. So I get up to leave only to be told I owe $97.00 for the consultation. He literally spent 3 minutes in the room with me to tell me what I already knew " you need a root canal " What a scam. I guess that's how he pays for his purple Range Roover he illegally parks as close to the building as possible. read more

My dentist referred me to Dr. Berg and I immediately got in the car and googled the practice. I seen nothing but bad reviews. And coming from someone who is extremely afraid of the dentist this was a big blow to read all the bad reviews. However my dentist office called them while I was still in the chair and they was able to get me in the same day. I was in so much pain I decided to just go an hope for the best. I must say I don't know why the reviews are so bad. The office was so nice and helpful and Dr. Berg was the best. He joke with me and we talked about movies etc. The conversation got so good while he was doing my root canal I don't even know how he understood me. Hahaha. I hate that the reviews are not good because this could deter a lot of ppl away. I am here to tell you as a person who has extreme anxiety about the dentist everyone in the office made me feel so comfortable and I felt absolutely no pain. Only took about 30min. This will always be a place I will go. One of the best experiences I've had at a dentist office. Thanks Dr. Berg and staff!!! read more

Everyone hate to hear the words "ROOT CANAL" However, finding the right doctor can make the experience so much better. If you are in search of that perfect doctor to handle the more difficult issues that may occur I give my 5 stars to Dr. Greg Berg. Best experience I have EVER with a dentist. Professional staff, flat screen tv's in every room. Such a great experience I would look forward to the next root canal. Thanks Dr Berg! read more

This was my third root canal but the first by Dr. Berg. The endodontist for my last two root canals bumped a nerve somewhere in the process of the 2nd one and we discussed being careful and taking plenty of time this time. Instead, the second numbing injection hit a nerve dead on and I screamed in pain like I've never felt in 50 years of extensive (multiple crowns, bridges, fillings, and even a dry socket that had to be reamed out to restart healing) dental work. I immediately left. My dentist recommended Dr. Berg and the procedure today went smoothly. He numbed me via the bone, added more numbing over the course of 20-25 minutes, and didn't start until I was completely numb. Minor discomfort during the process but it all was over in about an hour. I will definitely be going back to him for any future root canals! read more

Horrible experience with a root canal with Dr. Berg. He had no bedside manners and seemed to be rushing through patients jumping from three rooms at a time. He was not very gentle when giving shots and didn't seem to care if they hurt at all. I barely got a hello and introduction when he walked in the room upon meeting him. Wouldn't recommend any services here. read more

I didn't feel like a person in Dr. Bergs chair. I felt like just another money making case he has to get done before the end of the day. I wasnt prepared for the plastic pushed over my mouth. That made my anxiety go through the roof. I calmed down my nerves. But then during the procedure, I was in pain and crying and he nor the dental assistant ever "checked in" on me to see if I was doing ok. Not even to try to calm me down. I thought I was going to hyperventilate. All he said was that he can't stop right now and we have to push through it. Then finally it's done, and the person he has re-cementing my crown is the front desk girl! She admitted to not being a dental assistant but she said she's required to help back there. I know Missouri doesn't require schooling or license to be a dental assistant but she wasn't properly trained at all. It showed. And she put my crown on wrong and my bite was off. It was hard to tell earlier because I was so numb but when I could feel again I was so mad. I told her it was too and she said well you're numb so it's hard to tell. The temp crown was on right when I got there but put back on wrong. So now I have to go to back to the first dentist to have them fix it. I paid a lot of time and money here and I feel like I deserved better treatment. read more

I was dreading getting my first root canal. Dr. Berg and his staff were wonderful. He explained everything to me and made sure I was comfortable. The office was very nice, clean, and the staff very friendly. I felt zero pain and he was done in about 15 minutes! read more

Worst experience with a medical professional ever. ZERO compassion and human interaction. Doctor Berg did not say a SINGLE word to me about what to expect, what he was doing (jamming equipment into my mouth, drills, glue, burning smells) or how much longer it would take. He was busy chatting up social media, sports and music with his assistant and I was nothing more than a hole in a tooth. He got defensive when I offered feedback. Said "Didn't I tell you to raise your hand if it hurt?" and "Didn't you watch the (10 second?) video about the procedure?"as if that is compassion?!? He does not understand the word. Continued to be defensive and rude even when I asked to end the conversation. Also no advance discussion - neither when I made the appointment nor when I checked in - about the cost, and ran my credit card while I was sitting in the dental chair! You can't make this stuff up! The other reviews must be from family and staff, although I do agree that there was a flat screen TV in the room, tuned to a single infomercial. Almost as painful as a root canal. I wish it was possible to give a minus star. read more

I've had a number of root canals over the years at various places with positive results until I decided to give Dr Berg a try recently. Big mistake! It was as if he was in a race to make the Guinness World Record for the fastest root canal ever and was irritated that I had TMJ and was having trouble in keeping my mouth 100% open the entire time. Every other dentist I've gone to has enough compassion to allow me to by allowing to close my mouth for a minute or two during the procedure. Not Dr. Berg. read more

I was referred to Dr. Berg for a root canal by Creve Couer Periodontics. I called three times trying to make an appointment. During my first call, the nurse/receptionist took all my personal and insurance information and said she would call me back, no one called. I called back the next day and was told someone would get back with me. Once again nothing. The third day I called again and after telling the nurse/receptionist that I called twice and hadn't heard back she asked my name and said she'd see what was going on. She then came back on and said they just needed my insurance information. I can't believe how unprofessional and inconsiderate that is to myself or any patient. They actually blew the easiest part of my procedure, making the appointment. Perhaps I was lucky I didn't proceed any further. read more

I had a root canal done earlier this month and was very nervous. I don't like going to the dentist at all. Dr. Berg and his staff put me at ease immediately! They talked me through the procedure and then showed me how it would go. When it was my turn, Dr. Berg talked to me about things that we were both interested in, and kept me laughing to put me more at ease. There was absolutely no pain! I know this will sound weird, but I enjoyed my visit. The staff was helpful, the place was neat and clean, and the atmosphere was comfortable! Hands down, I would recommend Dr. Berg to everyone! read more

I would give negative Stars if I could... I went to Dr Berg for a root canal November-2015 after being referred by my general dentist. While in a lot of pain and nervous about the process I was talking with the dental assistant. Dr Berg came in - whom I had never met, and said we were "gabby" in a very negative tone. He had yet to introduce himself and never did to me. He seemed offended by my surprise and asked what was wrong and I obliged and told him it was a little offensive. He was offended more by that response and proceeded with checking into the tooth - He started tapping HARD on my teeth and I asked him to be easy since my teeth were so sensitive. I told him specifically which tooth and he started checking the rest and asked which tooth. Then he stopped, leaned back with his lights in my face and told me "if you don't stop asking questions we can't work together..." Next he used a cold test to test sensitivity of the tooth (which was killing me!) When he put in on the tooth I jerked out of a natural reaction. He then said, "No, we can't work together." I was shocked he was so put out by me - surely I'm not the only patient he has had with a sensitive and painful tooth! He's an endodontist!!! I asked politely if we could just proceed, and explained I was in a lot of pain and just want to get this taken care of. He took off his mask and said "everyone loves me." Then he just left! This is bad enough but what the BIG ISSUE was, after I had already left, Dr Greg T Berg then contacted my employer (after looking at my patient file) and told my boss/owner of the company that I was RUDE! So now I have had to explain a specific situation that happened in a "confidential" dental office which should have all been kept "in-house." I take my profession very seriously and customer service is priority number one to me. The fact he would do this is outrageous and unprofessional at best. Time will tell if this will have an impact on my job and clientele - if so there will be legal action for defamation of character and slander. I have reported his actions and unprofessionalism to the referring dentist and will warn others of my experience on every ratings site available in addition to filing a formal complaint with this BBB, the ADA, and the Missouri Dental Board for violation of the ADA "Principles of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct" III Section 1 - Patient Autonomy and III Section 1.B Patient Records. I will subsequently contact my lawyer. Mean, RUDE, Insensitive, Unprofessional, Condescending...Stay away from this so-called Dentist!!!!! read more

I live in South County and drive to St. Peters for any endodontic needs. The speed at which he provides service is amazing and accurate
