ows a menu for asian cuisine

I had wanted to try CNM a while back, but since it's not in my part of town, it never happened. Until last week, when I happened to be in the area. So, they have coneys... And wait, there's more... They also have: - Hamburgers / Cheeseburgers - Fried Pickle Chips - Fried Jalapeño Pepper Chips - Frito Pies - A small selection of American-Chinese items - A small selection of dessert items - "Greek" Spaghetti (I had to Google this thing when I got home) I ordered three coneys (loaded and plain), two hot links, and some fries for me and my lunch mates. Now I really regret not ordering some fried pepper chips as well. The service was relatively quick and friendly. They forgot one of the coneys, so I had to remind them, and they quickly brought it out. The total was like... $14. That seems pretty affordable to me. With the understanding that this isn't meant to be high-falutin' (or even medium-falutin') food, I have to say that I enjoyed the loaded coneys. And they're what you would expect for coneys. The steam trapped in the foil softened the buns nicely, and while the chili wasn't super flavorful, it sufficed. The coneys tasted like... coneys, and I could put away a fair number of those things if "shame" wasn't a thing. It's precisely the kind of food that you know isn't good for you, but you don't care, because it's economical. It's state fair food. I love state fair food. If you're too uppitty for state fair food, I don't want to be friends with you. All that said, what I appreciated the most was not the inexpensive and relatively tasty food. Rather, it was the American immigrants catering to people with very Americanized palates; CNM is a restaurant exemplifying the immigrant pursuit of the American dream. And that's beautiful, to me at least (it resonates with me both as an American immigrant, and as the son of American immigrants). A part of me wishes I lived closer to CNM. I'd eat here all the time if I did.

Very friendly people. Decent food, it's very affordable and doesn't bank on a bunch of pretense and nonsense. Run by a husband/wife team and some workers, it's a classic lunch joint. Plain tables and chairs, a tv playing in the background and a constant flow of people Coming in and out. Worth the visit and stop, IMHO. As for other reviews on the chili- it's a bargain, can't expect fancy. It works for what it is!

Our second visit & it was as good as our first. We've been searching for a good coney place since we moved to OKC & so glad we found this place! Very reasonable priced & so far the best coneys we've found. I'm looking forward to trying some of their other menu options.

    $3 worth of tator tots

Coney was okay. But prices are very high for what you actually get. Attached picture shows $3 worth of tator tots.

Was headed to an appointment on the Southside and had about 15 minutes to eat lunch, and since I hadn't eaten since breakfast - yesterday - I wasn't in the mood to be picky. Took the chance on stopping into this divey little hot dog shop in a gas station strip mall. And I'm really glad I did. Turns out all the best places are little holes in the wall the you stumble into. I mean, this is by no means fine dining, but it is fresh, quick, and tasty. The cheeseburger was clearly hand made rather than the frozen mess you get at most places. The vegetables were also fresh and crisp, the only think lacking was the bun, it was toasted in an odd way, that I don't prefer, but the freshness of the rest made up for it. The star of the show was by far the batter fried jalapeños. They were fresh sliced lengthwise with a side of ranch. Much better than expected. Overall, the staff/owners were amazing. The lady at the register had a great big smile and was happy to accommodate my short window of time and offer a laugh in the process. They have an interesting menu make up of hot dogs, hamburgers and other American fare, alongside Asian cuisine. I'll be back to try the Chinese dishes, and am extremely excited to have found this little unexpected gem.

He did not even know I was talking to him! Lol!

Good old fashioned coneys at a good price. The ambiance is super basic and service is low key. I'd go back tho if I wanted a good coney!

The patio space in the front was very secluded and lush, we had it entirely to ourselves. Our waitress was absolutely amazing. They even brought out a water bowl with ice for our pups. We loved our drinks. My espresso martini was boozy and not too sweet with a love whipped topping on top. Her Road to Hana was very refreshing and the pineapple tajin garnish hit the spot. Quick shout out to the dinner rolls and butter. I was starving so this held me over while our shareables came out. The Spicy Caesar was nice, loved the hit of heat that came with it. The Chicken Pepperjack Strudel, a signature dish, was really really good. Just wish it was warmer in the center but yea definitely order this. Juan's queso is not a typical queso dish. First, it's real cheese and it comes with a black bean puree, salsa verde, and avocado thinly sliced on top. We loved it, especially my wife. If you're in search of a higher end dining experience in OKC, Cheever's is a must.

I came here with a large group of about 8 of us with a reservation made early on. We were seated in a nice, private room and had an overall very lovely experience! First of all, our server Trey was just spot on with all of his recommendations. He recommended the crab cakes, the halibut, and anything that came with the spicy shrimp risotto. Our table got crab cakes to start, and this was probably my favorite dish of the evening! The crab cake was large, fluffy, and full of lump crab topped with a spicy and delicious salsa verde and pico. For the entree I ordered the halibut which was cooked well, but the side of spicy shrimp risotto definitely stole the show (as Trey accurately predicted). Most of our party ordered this and everyone was pretty happy with it! For dessert, our table shared chocolate cake and the coconut creme pie. The chocolate cake was very rich and was probably one of the best chocolate cakes I've had, and I'm not a big chocolate cake person. I still definitely preferred the coconut creme pie, which I would order again next time! Our service was fantastic for the evening, and when Trey tells you to order something, trust him and do it!

I was delighted to find out that our hotel was only 2 miles from this highly acclaimed restaurant. Upon entering, I immediately felt the welcoming atmosphere. We were warmly greeted by the host. The inside is lovely, modern and well laid out. It's perfect for date night or hanging with friends. The host chatted with us, explained the restaurant concept, and answered all my questions. We got the Baked Chèvre for our appetizer. It was layered with flavor and a most delicious and perfect bite for a cold evening. My entree was the Rainbow Trout. The fish had crispy skin and was moist, flaky, and well seasoned. The broad bean mixture served with it was equally delicious. The hubby had Honey Roasted Lavender Chicken which he declared to be one of the best chicken dishes he's ever had. He even raved over the vegetables that came with it. Of course I also had to try dessert. I loved my warm spice cake with a scoop of ice cream and swirls of buttery caramel rum sauce. The cake was so moist and paired perfectly with the sauce and ice cream. Our wait staff was friendly and professional. I forgot to jot down names so I could give them a shout out. Excellent staff is always a part of an excellent dining experience. This was just a delightful experience. The host even gave us the name of some nearby live music venues that we enjoyed later that evening. We will certainly return here the next time we are in OKC.
