My 1978 garage door metal hinge cracked while I was closing the door, leaving the door hovering over the hood of my brand new car. I called the number on my garage wall, Conejo Valley Overhead Door, and Jimmy happened to be nearby in Lake Sherwood. He was at my house within the hour, moved the door so I could pull my car out of harm's way, and closed and locked the door before leaving. He didn't charge me anything for the emergency visit, and I'm planning to use him to get the door properly repaired. Fast, professional, and genuinely helpful! read more

Jimmy was fast, honest and reliable! I will definitely be recommending him to others!

Jimmy has quite a bit of knowledge with garage doors. It's nice to see an owner operator actually on-site. My daughter called me last night and couldn't open the garage door. After seeing a broken spring, I called Jimmy at 5 pm. He told me he would be at my house this morning between 8 and 10 AM. He arrived at 8:45 AM and replaced both torsion springs. Jimmy originally installed our garage door over 20 years ago, I only trusted him to take it out while we were remodeling the garage and reassembled it when the remodel was finished. 2 sets of springs later, the door is still functioning way beyond it's life expectancy even though he wants me to upgrade. read more

Prompt call back. Arrived on time. Quick diagnosis and repair. Reasonable prices. Good maintenance advice.

5 stars We've now worked with Jimmy and his team twice, and both experiences have been outstanding. The first time we hired them was to install a new garage door motor, and they did such a great job that when it came time to upgrade our doors, they were the first company we called. For the most recent project, Jimmy personally helped us select two custom garage doors that perfectly match the exterior aesthetic of our home. His guidance and attention to detail made the process easy, and the final result completely elevated the look of our house. The installation team was professional, efficient, and very considerate while working at our home. They arrived on time, worked quickly without cutting corners, and made sure everything was installed perfectly before they left. It's not always easy to find a garage door company that is trustworthy, reliable, and truly focused on customer satisfaction, but Jimmy and his team absolutely deliver. The quality of their work and their professionalism are exactly why we chose them again. If you're looking for garage door installation, custom garage doors, or garage door motor installation, I highly recommend Jimmy and his team. We will absolutely continue using them in the future and recommending them to friends and fam. read more

Have used Conejo for years. First dad, Jim, and now Jimmy, both old school pleasant, give great service, quickly and try to safe you that extra buck. Came in lower than estimate as an old part was useable and in these tough times every dollar saved helps. Plus the original door is 25+ years so I'm trying to milk everything out of that door prior to replacement. read more

Came out to fix the problem quickly. Professional, personable and open with information. Recommend Jimmy.

Responsive, professional and excellent! Thank you Jimmy. Will call you again soon. Westlake village location.

We have used Jimmy's dad in the past, but since he retired we decided to keep it in the family and have Jimmy come out and check out our garage door that wasn't closing fully on one side. Within 5 minutes of looking he found the problem in on of our cables which was literally on its last thread. He also pointed out cracks in our door that showed the 30 year age on them. Honestly, we were lucky it hadn't broken fully and hurt someone. He was able to get a full replacement with the exact color needed with same day installation. I was so impressed with the quick turnaround and installation, at what was truly a very good price. I did call two other vendors asking for a quote of a door replacement and he was a better deal for the slightly emergent situation we were in. And now we have a brand new door and it is SO much quieter than before. You won't regret calling Jimmy. You will get excellent and honest service. read more

My garage door opener decided it had enough. Apparently, my entire system had some problems. Regular maintenance appears to be key. Jimmy was able to assess the issues and repair/replace the broken springs, brackets, wheels and garage door opener same day. I now have the most quiet garage door opener I've ever heard (not heard). He even programmed my car. Great service, efficient and easy to work with. Highly recommend! read more

I first met Jimmy around 8 years ago when he and his father installed a new garage door for my home. Actually, it was Jimmy doing 99% of the installation with his father just hanging around. Jimmy was great, very knowledgeable, courteous, and wanting to please. He was not a hard sell, just gave you the positives and negatives of the different types of doors. A few months ago Jimmy came to my house to check the rollers of the door that had been installed 8 years ago. One of the rollers had jumped the track. No problem, Jimmy in a very short period of time, replaced all of the rollers. Job done...not quite. After Jimmy completed the repair my wife decided to she wanted a different look and asked Jimmy about available doors today. Again, Jimmy was not a hard sell. He explained to my wife the myriad of choices for a door, but did suggest a new door motor if we were going to replace the door, as the old motor was at least 20 years old which also had been serviced in the past. A happy life is a happy wife so she ordered a new style door from Jimmy and a new motor. With the new order, Jimmy waved the nominal repair fee he would have charged for the installation of the rollers. Jimmy came back a few weeks later to remove the 8 year old door (which really was in good shape) and installed the new door and motor. Everything worked like a charm. Jimmy was neat, efficient and very thorough, checking out the working of the door like a fine watch movement. And the best part, despite his cowboy, rugged looks, he is a really nice guy, wanting to please, and a master at his craft. I highly recommend Jimmy and Conejo Valley Overhead Door. read more
