Room was clean, BUT:…read more Rack to hang clothes was about to fall off of wall. Gouge in wall at end of rack. Someone left a used, damp washcloth in the drawer under the microwave. (Yeech!) The TV control did not work. Found out the next morning that we were supposed to have a white control instead of a black one. No white control in room and no instructions for TV. WORST OF ALL the mattress had one or more broken springs in the edge near the nightstand. Squeaked all night if I got too near the edge and especially loud when I got up to go the bathroom. We did not discover that until we went to bed. If we had been dressed we would have asked for another room. When we told the desk clerk about the problems the next morning he held up his hands in a dismissive gesture and said that he was just the desk clerk and he would have to pass on the information to the manager. BUT, he did not write anything down. I have little hope that he reported anything to the manager. We will probably not stay there again.

The place has nothing much to offer. If you are only needing a one night stay "get back on the…read moreroad" type lodge. If you are staying a few days or so look elsewhere. Rooms are outdated, staff huddle outside the door wanting to count towels and NEVER straighten up the room for you. The management leaves a rude note for guests. I will not leave a tip. Actually I will leave a tip. For 100+ dollars a night, update the rooms and quit acting like it's a palace cause it isn't!

How is it that I haven't reviewed this business yet? That seemed rather suspicious, as I've stayed…read morehere already several times (hmmmm) - anyways, I'm going to make this short because I know I've reviewed it and it's going to pop up somewhere/sometime Quarterly (every 3 months), I have to travel for work to Ft Leavenworth, Kansas. Due to the high input / output of the Pre Command Course at the Command and General Staff College, the IHG ARMY HOTEL that is on Ft Leavenworth, 9/10 is booked full. That pushes me to a location off post. And being that I'm a platinum elite IHG member, I refuse (and it's just stupid), to stay anywhere else. This leaves me with two options: (1) this property, about 5 miles away from Ft Leavenworth, or (2), several properties in Kansas City, about 20 miles away from Ft Leavenworth. Lansing for the win lol! It's an older hotel, but they know that. Which is why by about 1/3 of it is under construction being updated / upgraded! But what's left still isn't terrible. They have the "suite" with additional living area / Sofa and half kitchen that actually is about $1 UNDER the approved government rate! That alone thrills me. Everyone else is staying wherever and sitting crossed legged on the bed typing and working and eating, and I got a whole (half) kitchen and desks, chairs, couches, living areas etc for the same price. There's a nice gym - but I think I'm the only one that uses it, so it stays new. Very large breakfast (dining) area, with free breakfast in the mornings. Staff is always so friendly and helpful. There is an ihop, subway, Chinese place, Mexican place, Arby's, Pizza Hut, sushi place, another taco place, all in walking distance (like less than a block). Not much for fast food myself, but at least there's tons of options for those just in case days. In total, I've probably stayed here for 8 weeks of my life - and will be staying there again

I notified the staff immediately and asked for large trash bags to take things home. I requested a full refund and the manager only gave me 4000 points which is about $28 towards another stay( and it took over a week to get that) the manager said that they had to confirm it was bed bugs! I paid $116. This is ridiculous!

Great spot downtown...location is right in the middle of Leavenworth…read more The service staff was great. They got to my floor regularly at around 10 a.m. to turn over rooms. They tidy daily, and deep clean weekly. For me they were very attentive to asking if I need trash taken out or new towels, replacement shampoos, or dishwashing detergent. I stayed in room 422. Quick access to the elevator bank, the ice machine and at the L of the two hallways. The window view of 422 looks upon the near end of Delaware St. The room has a king sized bed, a desk, a dresser, a open closet, a dresser with hutch, and a kitchenette (fridge, dishwasher, sink, microwave, and dishes/utensils. The bathroom is not crowded.. I didn't use the gym, but I noticed it had a couple of treadmills, and a full set of weights, and cables. Also the pools was available. Gym is open 24/7. The breakfast is included and ranged from microwavable burritos, sandwiches, and toast able grains. You could make waffles, or snack on the daily heated grains (oatmeal, grits, or biscuits and gravy). Their was fresh mandarins and bananas. Berry toppings and juice, too. Breakfast daily from 6-10. Easy accessa to and walkable amenities. I ran a long the Esplanade and local trails in the morning. And utilized the free coffee bar 24/7. Nice stay this past week. Recommended.

Flawless check-in with Bonnie today…read more She gave me the rundown, the layout, and a map. The crazy thing is you can actually get lost in these buildings, but once you find your room, breakfast area, and the parking lot; you won't need to see the rest of the hotel. Room 3302 is in the C Building, which is close to the breakfast room. The room itself is a suite. It has a living room, kitchenette, separate bedroom, and bathroom. The living room has a flat screen TV, couch, coffee table, some accent lighting and a desk. The kitchenette has a full fridge, a small range, sink and dishwasher. The bedroom also has a flat screen, queen size bed, end tables accent lighting, and a closet. Breakfast is served promptly at 6am Monday-Friday, and at 6:30am on the weekends. Breakfast is Continental style. Scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage, and waffles are available in a buffet. Also, various cereals, oatmeal, and hot sweet rolls are available. Most importantly, the coffee is a plenty and ready to take if you're on the go. The hotel has a small fitness room on the first floor that has a couple of cardio machines, but Gruber Fitness Center is next door, if the in-house gym is full already. I was here for a three week course, and the hotel was well within walking distance of the Lewis and Clark Building and Eisenhower Hall. Just one block away, you can find the post commissary, which is open everyday, along with the post exchange. Bonnie even helped me find an off-post barber, after the Barber Shop at the PX stopped seeing customers. The room was clean when I got it. Came with a living room and kitchen, two TVs, and a spacious bathroom. Housekeeping came to tidy up the bathroom. I'll be here for three weeks, so I'm pretty comfortable and this location is well within striking distance of everything I will and could need during that time. Lucky to have roomed here.

The staff, always courteous and efficient, maintained a high standard of professionalism. The overall ambiance was one of tranquility and refinement, making my 107 day truly enjoyable. Unfortunately, my stay had one significant issue: the elevators were out of order for the entirety of my visit. As a guest on the second floor, this meant lugging all my belongings up the stairs, which was quite inconvenient. While this was a major drawback, I hope it was an isolated incident and not a recurring problem at the hotel. They also offer breakfast and it was amazing; pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausages, they have it. Sadly the pancake maker broke midway through my stay. Their in room kitchen can accommodate almost all cooking, so i knocked out most of my meal preps utilizing what they offer. Don't need to worry about parking as well, they got extensive lots to accommodate many vehicles of all sizes.
