The window view of 422 looks upon the near end of Delaware St. The room has a king sized bed, a desk, a dresser, a open closet, a dresser with hutch, and a kitchenette (fridge, dishwasher, sink, microwave, and dishes/utensils. The bathroom is not crowded.. I didn't use the gym, but I noticed it had a couple of treadmills, and a full set of weights, and cables. Also the pools was available. Gym is open 24/7. The breakfast is included and ranged from microwavable burritos, sandwiches, and toast able grains. You could make waffles, or snack on the daily heated grains (oatmeal, grits, or biscuits and gravy). Their was fresh mandarins and bananas. Berry toppings and juice, too. Breakfast daily from 6-10. Our room was tidy, and the bed was comfortable, which made for a good night's sleep after a long day of traveling. One of the highlights for us was the old-style high school gym that's still part of the property. It had bounce houses, basketball hoops, roller blades, and even Nerf guns -- the perfect spot for our little ones to burn off some energy after being cooped up in the car all day. That said, there were a few downsides. The room only had two bath towels for six of us, and the pullout bed's mattress pad was stained and pretty unpleasant. When we asked the front desk for four more towels and a clean mattress pad, the staff member seemed a bit put off by the request. She only gave us two more towels at first and had to "get back to us" about the mattress pad. They did eventually bring a clean one, but the whole exchange felt awkward -- those items should be readily available for guests without hassle. Overall, we appreciated the fun gym area for the kids and slept well, but better service and readiness with basic amenities would really elevate the experience.

Due to the high input / output of the Pre Command Course at the Command and General Staff College, the IHG ARMY HOTEL that is on Ft Leavenworth, 9/10 is booked full. That pushes me to a location off post. And being that I'm a platinum elite IHG member, I refuse (and it's just stupid), to stay anywhere else. This leaves me with two options: (1) this property, about 5 miles away from Ft Leavenworth, or (2), several properties in Kansas City, about 20 miles away from Ft Leavenworth. Lansing for the win lol! It's an older hotel, but they know that. Which is why by about 1/3 of it is under construction being updated / upgraded! But what's left still isn't terrible. They have the "suite" with additional living area / Sofa and half kitchen that actually is about $1 UNDER the approved government rate! That alone thrills me. Everyone else is staying wherever and sitting crossed legged on the bed typing and working and eating, and I got a whole (half) kitchen and desks, chairs, couches, living areas etc for the same price. There's a nice gym - but I think I'm the only one that uses it, so it stays new. Very large breakfast (dining) area, with free breakfast in the mornings. Staff is always so friendly and helpful. There is an ihop, subway, Chinese place, Mexican place, Arby's, Pizza Hut, sushi place, another taco place, all in walking distance (like less than a block). Not much for fast food myself, but at least there's tons of options for those just in case days. In total, I've probably stayed here for 8 weeks of my life - and will be staying there again

When we told the desk clerk about the problems the next morning he held up his hands in a dismissive gesture and said that he was just the desk clerk and he would have to pass on the information to the manager. BUT, he did not write anything down. I have little hope that he reported anything to the manager. We will probably not stay there again.

The crazy thing is you can actually get lost in these buildings, but once you find your room, breakfast area, and the parking lot; you won't need to see the rest of the hotel. Room 3302 is in the C Building, which is close to the breakfast room. The room itself is a suite. It has a living room, kitchenette, separate bedroom, and bathroom. The living room has a flat screen TV, couch, coffee table, some accent lighting and a desk. The kitchenette has a full fridge, a small range, sink and dishwasher. The bedroom also has a flat screen, queen size bed, end tables accent lighting, and a closet. Breakfast is served promptly at 6am Monday-Friday, and at 6:30am on the weekends. Breakfast is Continental style. Scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage, and waffles are available in a buffet. Also, various cereals, oatmeal, and hot sweet rolls are available. Most importantly, the coffee is a plenty and ready to take if you're on the go. The hotel has a small fitness room on the first floor that has a couple of cardio machines, but Gruber Fitness Center is next door, if the in-house gym is full already. I was here for a three week course, and the hotel was well within walking distance of the Lewis and Clark Building and Eisenhower Hall. Just one block away, you can find the post commissary, which is open everyday, along with the post exchange. Bonnie even helped me find an off-post barber, after the Barber Shop at the PX stopped seeing customers. The room was clean when I got it. Came with a living room and kitchen, two TVs, and a spacious bathroom. Housekeeping came to tidy up the bathroom. I'll be here for three weeks, so I'm pretty comfortable and this location is well within striking distance of everything I will and could need during that time. Lucky to have roomed here.

It has a living room which I really liked. Shower was nice too and complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash were also provided. I got confused with the room and floor assignments, but learned the outline quick thanks to the housekeeping guy who worked there. The building isn't too far from the PX and commissary so you can definitely walk there. I'll likely never be on Ft Leavenworth again, but it was a good experience to stay in this hotel and rest. Also, the front desk staff is really nice and helpful. Thank you.
