I usually don't write reviews but felt other people needed to know. I purchased flooring from LL…read moreFlooring ( Lumber Liquidators) on Feb 17th of 2025. It took two weeks for my product to arrive which they told me might happen and was fine with. I picked up the product on Monday March 3rd. My installer was not able to do the job until April 21st. The installer liked the product and it looks great! I called Lumber Liquidators to return 5 unopened boxes (it was recommended by their staff to get extra for the job ). I don't have a problem with the recommendation because it makes sense and is pretty standard in the industry. This is why they only get 2 stars. They would not allow the return because it was over 30 days. The salesperson said that it appears on the receipt. The first issue is why have such a stringent policy on a product that is so dependent on the contractor. Things happen and in my case the contractor had to get to an emergency job first. I looked on the receipt that I have but it doesn't say it. Maybe I am overlooking the fine print but at least they should have stated it to me. So if I knew which I didn't would I have to bring all 40 boxes back to return them in the 30 day window and repurchase. It doesn't make sense. If they carry the floor on a regular basis what harm does it do to take the return and resell. If nothing else then a store credit should be issued for non damaged boxes. No they never tried to help solve the issue just kept saying sorry and the salesperson agreed not a great policy.

Hats off to my sales reps who were on hand for any issues I may have had.

Their tech reps are as good as it gets: courteous, knowledgeable and honest in that if they are not certain about an answer they tell you so. And you usually get the Rhode Island accent whether you want it or not. The nature of paint and varnish do make it difficult to follow a policy of generous returns. You need to know what you need before you buy it.

Watertight integrity? Are you fucking kidding me?) It took me calling them for weeks and weeks and filing my complaint on line several times. And then a lot of atrocious attempts to have me fix their problem electronically or use the AI 'helper' (welcome to the modern world). No person ever called me back or apologized for this or was the least bit embarrassed by advertising and offering this item. I was under the impression that they would reimburse me but I think I may have store credit which I did not want. Insult to injury I then got 2 gallons of paint that were so poorly (and cheaply) packaged one can was dented so bad it leaked paint. I see from comments that this happens regularly. I still have boxes from the old days that were strong enough for paint gallons but guess they want to save money. Doesn't work for me. So, absolutely HORRID Customer Service, Big Goose Egg ZERO for quality control and accountability, lousy and unprofessional follow up and another zero for inadequate, non existent management. I will now make efforts to buy my supplies and products from another business whenever possible.

I wanted to get two O Cedar flip mops at Ace Hardware since I had a 25% off coupon. The website…read moresaid that this particular store in Bristol had 19 in inventory so we decided to go and get them. I could not get them online since the maximum was ONE mop per transaction. So we stopped at the store and went to the mop and broom section. No O Cedar flip mop to be found...when I asked one of the staff members about the item, I showed her the item on their Ace mobile app and she went on their system to check for inventory...she said, they had none in the store...but the mobile app said they did.... Confusing... She said, I can order from our warehouse and you might be able to pick up next week, I said, yes...so I can use my coupon. When she went to get the special order entered, the system said that they are no longer getting any more of these mops.... Weird how the mobile app inventory and the store inventories do not seem to talk to each other... Unfortunately we left the store empty handed....

We were given plywood doors and drawers when we paid for real wooden doors. All the staining was missing throughout the kitchen. Front and bottom panels were never installed and a top cabinet door was never made. Because of the wrong size cabinets we also cannot access our trash or recycling bins. The cabinets we chose were Showplace Cabinetry and even though our kitchen is under warranty, Showplace refuses to do the warranty work. Showplace will only deal with the Kitchen Direct. Throughout the entire kitchen renovation there were a multitude of mistakes, errors, inaccurate measurements etc. Scott C. sent us a letter telling us that he was too frustrated and that he quit. We fought this for months through the BBB and the RI Attorney General's office. Kitchen Direct is not a reputable company. The AG's office does not have the authority to force him to complete the work, or to have his license revoked. We have called Showplace and sent emails to the President, only to be hung up on and emails that went unanswered. We have been living a nightmare, and we do not have the money to obtain an Attorney. After paying $35,000 our only option is to paint the entire kitchen and hire someone to build a cabinet door and all the missing panels, again, we do not have the money! If Scott Curti has a rebuttal with this complaint, PLEASE BE AWARE!!!!! Do not purchase any cabinetry from Kitchen Direct, Inc. or any cabinetry that is made by Showplace Cabinetry as they will not stand by their mistakes and only will deal with the kitchen company direct and not the homeowner. My husband is 80 and I will be there soon. We are senior that have been taken advantage of. Suzanne and Anthony G.

When we met Peter, he knew exactly what we were looking to do and suggested various design options. We trusted him to design our kitchen and also select the best cabinet line for our vision. We were not easy to work with because we were VERY specific with our wants--- we tweaked our layout around 50 times before we finalized it. Peter was very attentive and updated every little detail as requested. He made what would normally be a stressful process a seamless one. Our kitchen is beautiful! All of our family and friends comment on our cabinets and kitchen design! It truly is exactly what we wanted! I can not recommend Peter and his team enough! You will not be disappointed :)

I went to Ace to try and find out which screws I would need to put the front plate on. When I arrived the very nice older gentleman asked how he could help me. I told him and he said that he wanted to come out to the lot and look at my car. He went back in and grabbed a couple of screws along with a screw driver. He took my plate from me and started screwing the plate in for me. When he was done he said, tell the lady at the register that you owe her $.50. When I went to the register I told her that I owed her $5. After she had rung me up and I signed the receipt I told her to give that guy the $5 as it was only supposed to be $.50. She said that she would do that immediately! What a great group of people. You would never see anything like that at Home Depot!

An employee of the store, a large man with black clothes and various devices on his belt, asked, as I walked down the aisle, "what can I help you find today?", I said I'm looking for some very small washers. He said Isle 9, as I continued to walk towards the hardware isle thinking he was going to be helpful, and as I walked past him, I heard him comment in the background, "what do you think, I'm working today?". I've seen him in the store before. I thought what a smart alec. He is always standing in the main isle talking to the employees working in the isle, which I believe is the paint section. After searching for the parts I came in to buy for over 20 minutes, and coming up empty handed, I took a small part up to the register. The bill was 30 cents plus two cents tax. The approximate 18-20 year old male with dark hair who waited on me at the register stated: "I owe you 68 cents, but because your bill is 32 cents, and we don't have any pennies, I ll give you 65 cents change." I said ok." Then this kid, who I've been witness to disrespecting other customers in the store previously, stated: "can I keep the 65 cents then?" I said "no you can't." "what about the receipt then?", he asks, as he started to crumble the receipt in his hand. I said "no" I want the receipt too. He handed the receipt over and said: "there you go"! ( when I got into my vehicle, the receipt in print indicated that of the $1. that I gave him for a 30 cent purchase, he gave me back 68 cents change, when he actually returned 65 cents.) It just made me think about the lack of courtesy and respect shown by this person at the register, as well as, the lack of customer service by the other individual who stands around talking to employees instead of actually assisting customers. That individual appears to pick and choose which customers he will assist. I've worked retail in the past, It was your job to ask a customer if he or she needs help, and if they imply "yes", you don't retort with a smart alec comment, you help them find what they are looking for. As far as the individual at the register, I've witnessed him show signs of disrespect to other people in line at the register before, with comments and insinuations that seem downright uncalled for. Maybe I'm old school, but if you want to keep that individual working, put him stocking shelves, in the back room organizing inventory , but not on the front line running the cash register where he is dealing with your valued customers. He should learn courtesy and respect before working the front line at the register. I have not had many dealings with others in this particular store , but if your store help has the same attitude as these two, I would straighten out the problem. Your customer is the number one asset to your store, and employees with attitudes should be dealt with accordingly. You won't gain repeat customers who have experienced these types of scenarios as I did.
