As a yelper i frequently forget that Yelp should be used for reviewing all businesses not just…read morerestaurants. I purchased a new truck and after much deliberation I decided to get a spray in bed liner. Naturally I did quite a bit of research and while I preferred to get one from the factory I found a much better solution in d&s automotive. I learned quite a bit about spraying bedliners there are pros and cons and certainly have its share of detractors. But Anthony at DNS did a good job of educating me and certainly the price point was within the budget of what I wanted to spend. The two main spray in bedliners I was considering were rhino and Line-X. Well generally they do the same thing what I found was rhino lining which is sold and serviced by d&s is simply one product. No difference in color thickness or options or add-ins. Line-X which I'm certain has its fans gives you the option to add in ultraviolet protection certain thicknesses they can even tint the lining so if you're a fancy fellow that wanted a red line x sprayed in you could do that. But it also added in to the price as well. Generally DNS sprays in your rhino lining and mine cost me out the door $580 with tax. This is my first pickup truck and I don't like stuff sliding around in the back of the truck and this textured surface will certainly limit that. The quality of the work that they did was surprisingly good. There was no overspray or thin spots and I couldn't find anything to get upset about not that I was looking to get upset but they did a really good job and I'm very pleased with the outcome.

After my parked Tesla Model 3 was hit, the person's insurance led me to D & S. D & S received my…read morevehicle the morning of 10/29 and did not assess and submit a supplemental until 11/11 which the insurance approved immediately. D&S kept me in the loop and provided thorough information about the repairs needed and how the technicians would achieve this process in a timely manner. Once the assessment was complete, I was informed if parts came timely repairs would be done the first week of December at the top of the week and I'd be able to pick up my vehicle then. Harley did a wonderful job of communicating each step with me providing a timeline of when my vehicle would be ready. I was then informed it would take more time to put my vehicle back together than previously anticipated so my vehicle would be ready by 12/05 rather than the top of the week. Harley let me know the team was unable to complete putting my vehicle back together by EOD and my vehicle would be ready by 12/08 at the earliest and 12/09 at the latest along with approval from the insurance company of a second and final supplement for the labor to put my vehicle back together that the team did not originally anticipate. Calibrations and clean up weren't complete until 12/09. Harley then informed me the service writer was unable to finish sending the information to the insurance company by EOD 12/09. 12/10 the information / final supplement was sent over to the insurance company to review. I was finally able to pick up my vehicle 12/12 after I called the insurance company several times to expedite their review of the supplement money needed for the extra labor costs of putting my vehicle back together which D&S did not anticipate during their initial review. D&S finished calibrations and cleanup 12/09 but would not release it until they received the supplement from the insurance for the extra labor costs. The body work looks and feels amazing, you cannot tell my rear bumper was replaced. Only downsides, the technician my mom and I spoke to was unable to tell us if the vehicle had a full paint job. Once I went to my vehicle I was unable to access it as the technician forgot to take it out of service mode. I went back into the shop to find someone to take this out of service mode. My panel under my hood of car was not put back, however I popped this back on myself. I appreciate Harley's customer service and updates. The repair team unfortunately left me feeling unnerved about all the 'unexpected' extra work necessary after their review.

So I had a dent about the size of a quarter that I've been ignoring on my truck. After seeing his posts on Facebook I messaged Campbell paintless dent repair and made an appointment for today to go in at noon. Fully expecting I was going to get a estimate and then have to make an appointment to get it repaired he looked at it from about 20 ft away and said oh I see it already. After a quick inspection he told me what he was going to do and hold the truck into the shop and even let me loiter over him and watch him do it. Amidst some very expensive tools everything was protected he actually went through the window between the window and the sheet metal at the belt molding. If I hadn't been there jabbering with him it probably would have been a 10 minute job. While he was inside of my door he noticed one other very small dent that he said I'm going to take that one out for you too or do you like it or not! So within a period of about 30 minutes from the time I got there till the time I left my door looks absolutely perfect now. He explained the entire process which he didn't have to do and then did a quick compound and buff to remove any tool marks although I didn't see any. My total bill was about $125 or so and now my truck looks perfect again. Thank you so much Ryan!

Last…read moreyear I unfortunately hit a deer with my 12-year-old car, causing a broken headlight, dented fender, and dent in the hood. (The deer ran off; hopefully it lived). D&S had the car around six days but evidently did not remove any parts. They marked it up and notified my insurance company that the entire front end would need replaced and repainted, more than doubling the estimate, and making the car a total loss. I do not understand why they did this, other than they appeared very busy with more lucrative repairs, but I am speculating. In any case, it put me in a bad spot, as my insurer wouldn't consider my getting another estimate, and other shops wouldn't accept a customer paying out of pocket. Around that time, a family member became very ill, so between hospital visits and assorted life things, I bought a new headlight, a used replacement fender, various clips, nuts and bolts, and repaired it myself (for under $500 with a fair amount of learning, but I still have the slightly dented hood). It passed the state inspection (with compliments, even). For a while I was concerned the car would come apart like the Bluesmobile, but it's been solid. And while I'm proud I managed it, my experience with D&S Chardon and the position they put me in added a few frustrations during a difficult time.

The first time, the new painted plastic panel was off by 1/4" and obvious from 10 feet away. The second time I went to pick it up, the 1/4 gap was corrected, but the panel was gapped on one end and bulged/squashed on the other. Certainly NOT a proper fit. Ok, just got back. They made it right and were very apologetic. Most of the front-end is held on with plastic clips and they were able to get it adjusted to a satisfactory point. Nice folks, but I was pretty fumed about going back and forth 3 times. In the end, the paint matches perfectly and they made it right.
