Really happy with our experience during the holiday weekend, Saturday Dec 27. Worst possible time…read moreto go to any urgent care or especially ER. I looked up wait times where I could find them and 3 hours for Urgent care, 4 likely for ER. We were so pleased we were able to make a 6:00 pm appointment at the Urgency Room. They accept Medicare and we have BCBS supplemental. Check in was fast, not many in the waiting area. Chairs were SO comfortable, which mattered because my husband had sprained his back. We were called back quickly to a room (maybe ten minutes?), nurse came within minutes and she was so kind. Just lovely. Not long, doctor was there. So respectful and kind, really listened and explained recommendations. Just WOW. Nice room like an ER, btw, with a bed instead of examine table to climb up on. The doctor could check my husbands back from the chair, which helped rather than have to lie down, which would hurt. Ordered CT, a very nice and upbeat tech came, wheeled him down the hall. They came back so fast I thought the CT couldn't be done yet but it was. Doctor came not long after that, explained CT was all clear. Prescribed zip pack of steroids, nurse found us the address of a 24/7 pharmacy in Savage (Walgreens). Paper work checked out right in the room where we sat not long after that. We drove away a little before 8:00. Efficient, kind, happy staff, large, beautiful facility that must have quite the capacity considering we didn't have to wait for anything and the parking lot was full when we got there. Two pills later, my husband slept through the night for the first time in six days. Couldn't have worked any better. What a gift for us, and now five days later he is mended and walking, sitting, sleeping without pain. Went from screaming yelps to all better. Whew.

Her tone was flat and she just said well we take only serious things like strokes and heart attacks. I said pretty sure you don't take strokes and heart attacks and they would need a ER facility- I mean come on. Then she said well things like broken bones- I said anything else because online it does say you can do a walk in- then she said well bad stomach pains and then she hung up. Important to have people with the correct info that answer phones and actually give a shit about who they are talking too.

My 94-year old husband had a steroid injection in his spine by Dr. Choi in June, 2025. When he…read moreasked about the risks several weeks before the injection, a team member responded that the only one she could think of was that the injection might not work. Then on the day of the procedure as my husband was being prepared, Dr. Choi came into the room and read a list of possible negative outcomes for the procedure. Learning of these risks at this point was too late to make an informed decision. As a result of the injection, my husband's abilities to walk, stand and balance declined rapidly. We returned to Summit in an attempt to understand why the injection was causing the damage and if the damage would stop. The decline in his functions was met with doubt and an offer of therapy that previously had been ineffective; leaving us feeling there were no possible remedies for his decline. Out of desperation, we consulted another hospital system. The physician there looked at my husband's MRI and: #1. diagnosed and clearly explained to us why the procedure was harming my husband's abilities; #2. Stated that the procedure should never have been done. At this writing, my husband's abilities have not made any recovery. The injection has devastated our quality of life.

However, the past 2 years (and 2 surgeries) has left bad feelings about the eagan surgery center. DO NOT schedule our elective surgeries months in advance, tell us to get a preop no longer than 30 days in advance, and then have the anesthesiologist look at that preop THE DAY BEFORE scheduled surgery and find something he/she doesn't like and then call us wanting to cancel/pull/move the surgery (meaning more waiting, more pain, major frustration. Especially since the condition they object to was cleared by cardiologists and primary physician. One time doing this was annoying. Two years in a row is completely unacceptable. Our surgeon was able to get this surgery to happen as scheduled, only after he made several phone calls, etc. But the AFTERNOON before the surgery, two years in a row? Change your practice. Have anesthesia dept review pre ops 2 weeks in advance, giving patient time to remedy perceived problem for anesthesiologist. Or get new unsuspecting patients

Wow! What a great new facility! I generally try to avoid going to the doctor, but this may change…read moremy mind! Admittedly, this is really close to my neighborhood. So, first and foremost, it is extremely convenient by bike or car! However, when I walked in for the first time today, I was even more excited. You walk in to a very small and welcoming reception area with no line! (I was able to deal with all of that 'initial paperwork stuff' within 10 minutes.) Since the clinic has multiple departments, including family health, urgent care and chiropractor, they ask you to wait in the area designated to your department. Again, we were the only ones in the place and were able to avoid that mass waiting room like usual. The waiting area had large open windows to watch the happenings on Chicago Ave.; a nice change from dull white walls. The actual walls are decorated with tasteful artwork! I love the actual exam rooms! They have two doors so that the nurses/doctors can access them from their own office area rather than the public entrance. It eliminates so many people walking around and the uncomfortable feeling that someone is dying because it reminds you of that episode of ER or Grey's Anatomy... I digress. The staff was extremely pleasant! They made me feel welcome and calm. Everyone explained information in detail, but without sounding like a pretentious 4th year med student. The nurse even showed me information (and pictures) on the internet during our appointment so that I had a better understanding - helpful and educational! I can totally see this being my new primary care provider soon. Great location! Great facility! AND, it is located right next to the Town Hall Tap and Pumphouse Creamery - two of my favorites! Doctor, lunch and dessert all in one short trip. I love it!
