I came for a new employee appointment and I got a nurse fresh out of school ( shaking, gave me an extra vision test, didn't know what room to put me into) I bruised from the blood draw and the bruised stayed for about a week. Basically this is where you go for a job right out of school for experience. So you are a guinea pig. I felt like I was a subhuman here. Very curt employees. Not to mention I was here waiting to get called in to start my appointment for 3 hours! I had to return for a shot and they did not even check if my authorization was faxed in just told me I needed to have one. So customer service was out the window as well. I came here for my occupational medical work. First I brought an authorization for a TB Quantiferon Test, which they then said they didn't offer. I came back for 2 TB skin test and each time in took me 1 hour to be seen for these tests to be placed, which two approximately 2-3 minutes. In one casez someone who arrived after me was called in before me. I then needed some paperwork signed verifying simply that I had received services from them. They took the paperwork and said the physician only signs the paperwork once per week, but they could not tell me when that was. When I called a few days later to check on the status of my paperwork, nobody picked up the line - 10 times. I don't advise calling here, you will not get a response or answers to your questions over the line. When I came in person to check on the forms, they said they had no idea of the status of them because that person does not arrive until 9:30. Finally, this person came at 9:30 they filled out my forms, but I double checked before I left and they had forgotten one. If I had not checked this would have been another visit. Unfortunately, this may be the closest place for many folks to get occupational health services. This is a place that seems to have internalized inelastic demand and as a result does not realize that people's livelihood sometimes depends on them providing services on a reasonable timeline - or at least being communicative and honest if they cannot. I advise you to look for another place if you don't have hours to deal with this location. The staff may be pleasant, but the systemic issues with the working of this place make it a truly frustrating experience to receive services here. read more

I would NEVER recommend this place. I waited 5 hours for a physical! They weren't accepting appointments so I decided to get here right when they opened. I signed in at 7:11 AM with 2 people in front of me. They open at 7 so I thought I would be called in shortly. I didn't get called in until AFTER 3 HOURS. At 10:40am to be exact. Then I had to wait another 40 minutes in the room to see the doctor and then another 40 minutes to get checked out!! I didn't leave until 12:10pm!! I WAS THERE FOR 5 HOURS!!! Do not come here unless you absolutely have to. The front desk girls are rude as well. I hope my job doesn't send me to come here again, I do NOT want to come back. Showed up around 10:45 for a simple drug test. Didn't leave until 1:30. Took 7-10 minutes for the actual drug test. Only 2 other people there in the lobby. Avoid this place like the plague. I went there for a blood draw for a test I was having done. I was made to wait over an hour and a half, while others came and went, before they saw me. I was also charged a "venal puncture" fee which I explained to them I was not supposed to be charged. The front desk staff there truly embraces a mindset of not caring. I finally got a call back (after the company that requested the test complained to them) and I was told they would reverse the fee. They never did reverse the fee. More lip service. I went here yesterday as it's close to my home and accepts my insurance, Health Net. I had really bad stomach pains. So waiting 2 hours was miserable. They finally call my name to the front desk. I'm told my insurance premiums are past due. I took this to mean my insurance co. would not cover the visit.. She couldn't have told me earlier?? As I was getting ready to leave, she tells me my co-pay Is $10.00 WTH!!!!! About 30 minutes later I'm called back. The nurse who took my vitals was very nice. And the Physician Asst was nice enough. Never ever go to this Concentra if you are an injured worker. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Firstly, the staff are the rudest most unkind medical staff I've ever met. My mother is a nurse who works on work Comp cases and is in shock the way I was treated here. The doctor there (Argentinian one) is a horrible person who cares nothing for the patients. He tried to send me back to work after not doing proper medical tests with a full blown concussion! When I asked why he put that in my file, he raised his voice and yelled at me in the patient room! I told him he had no right to yell at me for not agreeing with his horrible medical recommendations. It gets worse from here! This man actually crossed the line of CHANGING MY MEDICAL FILE from "return to work light duty" to "return to work full duty" when I left the office! He was so arrogant and angry that I challenged his authority that he actually did something illegal and changed my file. This is after he diagnosed me with a concussion. He went as far as to notify my work...little did he realize I have the print out of the former paperwork only 5 minutes before! I arrived to my physical therapy appointment dizzy and sick as hell and he had discharged my case! I was denied medical care as an injured young lady in my early 30's. I did not think bad doctors was a real thing until this happened to me. I am injured and have a full blown anxiety attack in the therapists office and they could've cared less. I was doing a follow up visit after getting my MRI done and I had a 8:45 am appointment, I waited In the waiting area for one hour, and they told me, the doctor was not there, and one of the supervisor and older caucasian lady with blonde hair, was in the front office, she ignored me, and started helping someone else and the other customer reminded the supervisor, that I was there before her, and the older lady with the blonde hair next to the reception desk on left, still did not acknowledge me, so I left and rescheduled my appointment... I wish I didn't have to give a star I've been here almost two hours, and I have not seen the doctor... This is crazy! They only have one doctor... This is worst place ever! Newer location, clean and up to date. My first visit to the medical group. Unfortunately, the Hispanic lady checking me in was either having a bad day or she really hates her job and is just down-right hateful. Very cold and demeaning attitude. Strike One. The medical assistant, however efficient, was lacking in bedside manner as well. Rather cold and not engaged. Please lighten up and be a little more personable. Strike Two. I really wanted to just leave after having my vitals taken and go elsewhere, but I really was feeling like crap and had already waited close to an hour to get this far. Then, the PA (Reuben) comes in. Personable, pleasant and professional - great bedside manner. He gets 5 stars. I also dealt with the xray tech (sorry, forgot his name), but he also gets 5 stars. Great personality and welcoming. Reuben was very thorough and treated me quickly and sent me on my way. The fact that this place is 3 or 4 blocks from where I live and the co-pay is minimal, I will probably go back. But management, please encourage your front line staff to be a little more welcoming. None of us like to go to the doctor and when we're sick, a little niceness goes a long way. I'll try one more time, but if I get the same service from the support staff, I would rather find another medical office to call my own. Thanks. PS. This is the worst US Healthworks I've ever been to. The Front Desk staff is rude and doesn't care about patients at all. I saw the doctor and had to wait for my paperwork to leave. They have one person working and I've been waiting for my paperwork for over an hour. Every time I asked when my paperwork would be ready the Front Desk person was rude and unwilling to help. They are so backed up there isn't even a place to sit. So you have injured people who are having to stand because this place can't get their act together. This is beyond ridiculous. Avoid this place at all cost of you can. I would give this place 0 stars if it would allow me to. As I type this I am still waiting for my paperwork. Who knows how long I'll be If you have to choose a US Healthworks, choose the Orange location. They are much more helpful and actually care how they talk/treat people. read more

I've been coming here for my follow ups every week for the past few months. The wait time is awful. I wait 1 to 1.5 hours to be seen in the office and have to wait another 45 mins for discharge paper work. They see me for no more than 15 minutes every visit. I do receive good customer service from the PA's, physicians and techs. The secretaries are sympathetic and have to deal with so many unhappy patients that are upset about the wait. US Healthworks needs to change their workflow. It's wasting the time of their patients and causing more stress for the patients and workers. read more

I understand if there's a bit of a wait. I'm fine waiting an hour but three hours is a major problem and is excessive. I was told that there would be "an hour and a half" wait for drug test like they wanted to dissuade me from getting it done, but I was there waiting longer than that. I almost was about to have a fit when one of the technicians came to the front desk to talk to her coworkers and loudly said "all these drugs test are probably going to be here until 6:00pm, should we stop taking them?" This was at 3:00PM. If I could hear her, then I'm sure most people in the waiting area could hear also. Again, I felt like this was said loudly on purpose so people could leave or contact their employer to see if they're allowed to take it on another day. I'm not sure what they can do to alleviate the waiting. A majority of the people waiting to get seen were there for drug screenings. They don't seem like they're understaffed. Maybe the issue is how they delegate the work load? When I finally got called in, there were no more seats for people in the waiting area. Many people were standing. Luckily I was only there for a drug screening, but I feel bad for anyone going there trying to get seen for an actual problem or health issue. read more

I have a chronic back problem and the Urgent Care I usually go to was closed at that time so I decided to go to one that was closest to me and what a wrong decision . It wasn't the cleanest of places and the bathroom was disgusting. I was called back and gave my history, had vital signs taken and why I was there. The MD came in and I use that term loosely. I told him why I was there and he did a very brief exam and exited the room. When he came back he told me that I had just filled my prescriptions and why was I there in a very accusatory tone. He acted like he had just busted me and actually had his arms crossed. I told him that I could have told you my prescription history and in fact it was on the questionnaire I completed earlier. At this point my back was killing me and this ass was really getting on my last nerve! I told him I came for a shot of Toradol and he looked surprised and left the room. An assistant came back with the medicine and I was on my way. I will never go back to this urgent care again. It's usually used for Workers Comp patients so I should have known the MD would be an unprofessional jerk. He really treated me like I was drug seeking and wasn't in pain. There is an opioid crisis and I'm a RN so I know you have to practice caution, but he acted like a complete ASS! I could also hear him through the door talking about me. The only reason I rated it at all is because I received the anti-inflammatory medicine I desperately needed. Never again will I come here for treatment of any kind. I was made to feel like I was dong something wrong because I was in pain by the MD and it's not the cleanest of places. I went there on a Friday around 5pm. I hope the MD reads this because his smart ass attitude is not needed at all! read more

Horrible service! I need to do a drugs test and DOT exam. My company set up appointment for me at 2.00pm, I showed up 1.45pm, fill out all papers and handed back by 1.55pm and now waiting game time, they called my name at 3.45pm, went inside to check and did drugs test then have to do DOT exam, the room was unavailable then they told me sit, around 30 mins they called me to go inside the room to wait for doctor, another waiting game goes, around 45 mins a guy opened the door and said sorry for delay and doctor will be with me shortly then 30 mins later another guy came in and told me the doctor had left and the doctor they have now is not license for do it and told me I have to come back another day. Damn, that was so stupid to wait that long Unprofessional and unrespectfully I spent almost 4 hours here just for a drugs test. Please do me a favor do not go here! Ms. Manriquez a rare smiling addition to this little gems location right off the ocean in downtown Long Beach will great you with a smile and if you are smart enough to go when the doors open at 7:00 a.m. then her trusty elf and coworker Mr. Natsuhano following all proper paperwork and identification is retrieved from you will give you that announcing "breathalyzer test" which is the same medical contraption law enforcement wields for drunk driving suspects. After confirming your vitals such as your social security number with yours truly the health care official assigned to your testing grid will then walk you over and begin the "urine analysis testing" all within an arms reach. You will be asked to remove your jacket, hat and empty your pockets and hand over your keys (all harmless stuff) and then prompted to carry out you urine analysis. This place is seamless and makes you feel comfortable whether it's a pre-employment or a random test imposed by your employer. Everyone here does there job with a smile which isn't the case I quickly found out. Hands down this has been the experience from a testing facility stand point and stands heads and tails above their often piss poor competitors. read more

I walked in a little before 5pm without an appointment. The total time for my visit was 1 hour which is fine because I feel like that's the average wait time at a doctor's office. There were 4 people ahead of me. The staff were kind and professional. When performing the procedure, the staff member explained the type of procedure and how she would perform it. I thought that was helpful. I don't remember her introducing herself so I don't remember a name. It would've been nice if she introduced herself and job title. An hour later I was finally given paperwork to make up a chart. Around 12:30 hungry and needing the restroom I asked if I was close to being seen. I was told it would be another two hours. Ok. So I decided to get lunch etc. and came back two hours later. When I returned I wanted to make sure that they knew that I was there and they told me it should be another 2-2 1/2 hours more. I left.
