I have been a nurse for 6 years. I never go to the doctor. I went here because a had a lump/mass on/near my thyroid. The front desk were very friendly and helpful (which is why there is 1 star), but my exam was awful. The provider (Dr. Francini) felt my neck for 5-10 seconds, said he didn't feel anything. He said "what's going on? Have you been playing with it?" Which I thought was a very odd thing to say. In the history I told them that my mother has hashimotos and was diagnosed around my age. After feeling my neck, I told him I've been having difficulty swallowing and increased pain, but he cut me off before I could go more into the other symptoms I was having that align with thyroid disorders. He told me to take ibuprofen. Ibuprofen would help with any inflammation and pain, but given the history why not add labs? No ultrasound/imaging referral? I had no signs or symptoms of any kind of virus or infection... no cold, sore throat, congestion, fever, body aches nothing to explain that this was related to a viral illness. However, that's what he attributed it to... He spent all of 1 minute (this is not an exaggeration) with me. No empathy, sincerity, etc. just dismissing me before he even did any assessing. As a healthcare worker I can understand patient frustration because that was absolutely ridiculous. $100 copay (which was incorrect, my copay is not $100 I later found out) and whatever else they will charge me for the provider to spend 1 minute assessing me. Do not go here unless it's covered by your work or a physical. Honestly I don't even know if I'd go for that. read more

He took the time to do a thorough evaluation, genuinely listened to my concerns, and made sure I felt understood every step of the way. Super fast and very nice employees! As a travel nurse, I get the pleasure (cough cough) of visiting a lot of Concentra's for compliance. This is in my top two!!! George (X-Ray Technician) was super kind, funny and professional. The front desk lady, (Sophia) was very nice, polite and smiled! Ha! These people LIKE working here; and it shows!!! The NP who saw me was quick! (Tina Le). For a physical, vision test and drug screen, was in and out in a little over an hour. I returned the next day for a mask fit and was in and out in 35 minutes! Awesome!!! And they validate parking!!! If I'm in the area again, I will drive to return to this location! read more

Dr Alexander Francini is unprofessional. I am disappointed with the lack of care and consideration I received from this doctor. After returning to work following a work-related injury, I experienced significant pain, which I communicated to him. However, he refused to provide a note for additional time off to fully recover. Despite explaining the discomfort and how it was affecting my ability to perform tasks, my concerns were dismissed. When I sought a second opinion, he seemed insulted rather than understanding of my need to explore all options for proper healing. Unfortunately, this has left me feeling unsupported in my recovery process. When I told him my hand is in a lot of pain his way to response was to raise his voice and say it's part of the process.. Very unprofessional. They expected me to go to work 8 hours with an injured hand and still therapy. Do Not recommend this place at all. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Everything was fine with check-in and the front desk. I had a deep cut to my finger the night before and still hadn't stopped bleeding. So here I am waiting for the Dr. I explained I work as a nurse and need stitches (I used to be the lead nurse in an urgent care) because 1. I have Ehlers Danlos which causes me to bleed easy and I'm a slow healer. 2. The cut is right near my knuckle, so opens when I bend my finger and it needs to stay clean. I am clumsy and have needed stitches two other times. Those doctors knew that cuts near/on a knuckle need stitches... She said I did not need stitches. She would glue it. So she said I'll have someone come in and clean it first. So in comes the CNA. She walked over with her supplies and looked at my finger then said why am I cleaning this? It looks clean. I said the doctor ordered it. She continued to stand there staring at me and she again said it looks clean. So I asked her if it was a problem to wash my finger off so it doesn't get infected once the globs of glue are applied. I said I've never experienced having a Dr give an order and the aid come in and question it. She started fumbling with her words. So she starts to prepare and she pulls out peroxide and begins adding it to a kidney basin. I told her you are not supposed to wash a cut with peroxide. It can cause further damage to tissue. There was a little back and forth then she soaked my finger in sterile water and left. Once the doctor came in (she must have spoken to the aid outside the room) she tried cleaning my cut with ALCOHOL. I yanked my finger back. I told her she should not wash a cut with alcohol. She said it's just a little bit. I told her I don't care, I am a slow healer due to Ehlers and don't need anything making it heal any slower. I told her for an open wound she needs to use betadine. She agreed and used that. My God where were these people trained? Dr comes back in, put 3 layers of glue on my finger which burned like hell- she didn't hold my skin together when she applied it. After that she sent the aid back in to wrap it and put it in a splint which was so big and ridiculous. No way I could wash my hands. Or shower etc. By that evening all the outer gauze and coflex were wet and dirty and slid right off. I was left with a pile of glue and steri strips that were just set on top. Within days of normal use everything had come off and I'm left with a cut that is partially open, inflamed and hurts. If only this doctor could set her ego aside and listen to me. I know me better than anyone. And again, have had this happen to me before. The worst urgent care!! Don't go! read more

It has been 3 months since my visit, and my experience still haunts me. I hope this email finds the family and friends of Dr. Francini. I had to visit this office after being hit so hard in the face by a student, my nose was ultimately broken. Despite being screened for a head injury by medcore, this facility did not check my vision upon my arrival. After X-rays, Dr. Francini said my nose was broken, it would heal on its own, and I was okay going back to work that same day.. despite the swelling, bruising, and overall risk of further injury. I work in a classroom with students living with autism and related disorders. Dr. Francini made comments such as "it's like working in a psych ward, just try to put distance between yourself and the students." Which is almost impossible for my job role, and I explain this to him. Dr. Francini insisted that "it's not that you can't work, you're afraid to, and your fear is not a medical condition." I felt dismissed and scared for my own safety. As someone who lives with anxiety, my fear can indeed be a medical condition associated with the fear of returning to the classroom the day after my nose was broken. Dr. Francini also made comments about the neurodivergent community such as "These guys are beating up people all the time." Which I found offensive and ignorant as someone who works directly in the field and knows that assumption is not always true. When I asked for a nasal splint for some kind of protection when I returned to work, he told me that I don't need one and they wouldn't be able to provide one. Mind you, my nose is fully broken, swollen, black eye, the works. During my next visit, I addressed leakage and soreness I felt in my face and he said "I could send you to an ENT doctor, but they're not gonna do anything." I am still dealing with soreness and leakage to this day, 3 months later. It was clear this doctor did not have any intention to provide me with any kind of support so I ultimately asked to be released from care so I can seek my own care. Because Dr. Francini cleared me to return to work the day after my nose was broken by a student, I did not feel safe or comfortable. I was experiencing intense swelling, pain, and bruising. I had to take my own time off work to heal, resulting in me losing my job that I have had for 3 years. Dr. Francinis carelessness has affected my life and my future in such a negative way. I hope he can be held accountable by anyone reading this. I hope Dr. Francini can find his passion for actually helping people, or retire. read more

Doctors themselves are usually great so nothing bad on them. However I've noticed the desk attendants are often rude and unprofessional. I checked in for my appointment at 4:11pm, and around 4:45pm my name was called and they asked "can we help you?" I said yes I checked in for my appointment at 4:11. Crickets. When I got my intake forms from the doctor, I noticed the desk staff had changed my initial sign in time of 4:11pm to 4:41pm by physically changing whwre I signed in with pen. I'm assuming they did this so they wouldn't get in trouble for not checking in an appointment for 30 minutes (extremely unprofessional and a huge waste of both my and the doctor's time). I was unfortunately made late to work because of this and was therefore unable to address this time fraud in office. For future reference, being professional means owning up to your mistakes, not blaming them on the patient. Very disappointing. Time fraud is not acceptable and I will be reporting this to my employer. read more

Similar to other reviews not sure why there's so many one stars. Office staff was super professional. Nurse was great and the doctor was very personable and great at keeping patients comfortable. Had to wait a little bit, but if you come early enough in the day, don't think you'd have to wait very long. Highly recommend this urgent care. My visit for today, I give them a 4 - 4.5 out of 5 stars. I tried to arrive bright and early with one person ahead of me. I work in an urgent care setting and know from experience, it's better to camp out a couple of minutes early, then have to wait behind multiple people. A lot of paperwork to fill out. Maybe that's why it took them almost 30 - 40 minutes to call me back. Everyone there was very nice and it's a clean environment. They validate parking. Maybe I had more things to be completed today than the other two patients before me. Otherwise, I was out by 8:14. I was here for a new job requirement. read more

Came here for a pre-employment physical without a scheduled appointment and I felt like the customer service and care provided was great! It's an urgent care and many other specialties so considering that, my total time of about 2.5hrs wasn't bad. The lobby was full, but the staff was able to keep up like a well-oiled machine. This place is really bad. I've had to come here for my physical prior to working at my hospital. I believe the wait time at that time 3 years ago was about two hours, but smack dab in the middle of the afternoon- so I blamed myself. The physical was plain silly. This time, I came at 0700 and there were three others in line in front of me. I was not taken back for a simple drug urine / TB blood draw until 8 AM. July 2, 2020 I would give 5 stars to all the staff in front, the nurses, and the Physical Therapists at Concentra but not to the Physician Assistant, Reuben C San Juan. I told him several times how much pain I'm in but he didn't listen. I went to get a second opinion at another urgent care on July 8 and they were much better and finally took x-rays. San Juan didn't and still has not taken x-rays. I've been seeking treatment at Concentra since July 2nd and still have not gotten any x-rays or other imaging done. He disagreed with the medications I got from my second opinion even though she is an MD. After practically yelling at him about how much pain I'm in did he agree to do an MRI. The MRI will take 2 more weeks to be approved. I finally got an MRI & x-rays almost 3 wks later but got a much better Dr who is an advocate for me instead of a workers' compensation Dr that just works the bare minimum even w/how slow the process & system is. read more

My total time in was a little over an hour and there were 7 people ahead of me. Then she checked my vital signs, drew my blood, transferred my urine to two smaller tubes, handle my phone (to check new order, scan bar code, etc) while wearing the SAME gloves. Doctors give me really bad anxiety and I was instructed to come here to get a physical and drug test for my new job which I've never done before. Seeing all of the negativity in these reviews definitely made me really nervous but honestly I've had nothing but a positive experience. The 2 hour wait is inevitable but bring a book, phone charger, and headphones and the time passes pretty quickly. The staff is all very kind and friendly and I haven't felt anxious at all. Also the building is clean and they have snacks and water in the front, as well as a cafe outside. Alexander Francini, told me Carpal Tunnel was a fallacy, and in not so many words, that my symptoms were because I'm old and fat. He was an interrogator & condescending. Just a heads up, if you need to do something quick like TB test or a mask fit test for work do not schedule it at Concentra in LB. If you have the opportunity to try a different outpatient clinic DO IT. I waited almost 3 hours for what should have been a quick in and out visit. The receptionists were nice but seemed unorganized. It took over an hour just to "check me in" to start processing my paperwork. Then after waiting another hour they called me to get checked in again and fill out the same paperwork. I told the receptionist I was already checked in and handed her my paperwork. After the receptionist figured out the mistake I was seen within the hour. Care quality is extremely low. Nurse practitioner Ruben was very rude, unprofessional, and unethical. I was not able to finishing listing medical info. on form etc. He spoke fast and over me. Stated that if they put receptors from neck to hand and show interrupted then "congratulations, you have carpal tunnel," if in time injury does not get better. He said a doctor's note is not warranted for today's visit. Then he asked older doctor if he could make me note then the other one said no. I did have a visit the day before and did receive a doctor note for warranted issue based on what I mentioned with another provider. I will be reporting this to the medical board. Intolerable. My appointment was 3:30p today. I arrived 3p and was not greeted or acknowledged by Brianna, I asked for the restroom and she pointed to the keys laying on the desk. First there was no acknowledgement/greeting then the pointing to the keys without even making eye contact. After my physical therapy was completed 3:50p I make my way to the desk to checkout. Brianna who I observed typing (with one finger) I didn't want to disturb her so I just stood there for a couple minutes and she never looked at me nor did she say anything. I didn't say anything because she has an unapproachable demeanor and scowl on her face that doesn't read friendly. So I sat down. After watching her type with that one long fingernailed finger, she picked up the phone to make a call and now it's 4p. I approached the desk and simply said, I will call to make my next appointment and I walked out. She audaciously called me 10 minutes later and said, "Hi this is Brianna from Concentra, you just walked out." I said, "yes I walked out because you didn't offer to check me out or schedule my next appointment." She then said, "I was on the phone and I can't see anyone sitting behind my computer screen" I said, "You saw me approach the desk at the end of my therapy, even though you made no eye contact you knew I was standing there and you knew I took a seat" After a very brief exchange I asked her, " what I could do for her?", she said, "well you need the appointment" we eventually get the appointment scheduled and at the end her closing statement was, "okay" So I hung up. This is the first person patients see when they come in and this is the interaction she delivers, she does not demonstrate the behavior or professionalism anyone could be proud of. If there is video, I would encourage her direct Supervisor to review and hold her accountable. There are countless facilities that provide physical therapy in and around the area and I will definitely look into continuing my treatment elsewhere. read more

So in case anyone is wondering, the wait time is roughly 2 hours. Oh & that's in the waiting room just trying to get registered. I arrived this morning at 7:20am and didn't get called for my 7 minute procedure until 9:17am. Now I waited with great patience but to get to the back and see what all those people are waiting was frustrating. The MA's are in the back gossiping about other team members, & not in a low tone either. I should not have heard anything about someone's sex life from a employee while I'm simply waiting for a damn vaccine booster. That's trash behavior & it exhibits a very poor work environment. Good luck to you if you visit this location. They only accept walk ins and will tell you they can't give you an estimate as to how long you'll wait as people are there for different services. Meditate & get ready for a patience final exam cause it's going to TEST YA for sure! Quick update: it is 2:12pm and I'm ill from the vaccine. I call and speak with the ever so rude Jacqueline at the front desk. She informs me now that I must file a workers compensation claim for feeling ill from the vaccine they administered. They won't see me, mind you I'm at work with a fever, nauseous, dizzy, & my arm is hot, heavy and sore. WOW THIS IS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE & PATIENT CARE. You'll administer the vaccine but not take responsibility for the patient falling ill within 5 hours. YOUR FACILITY IS A COMPLETE JOKE! read more
