From the very first visit, I was treated not just as a patient, but as a human being. I especially want to recognize Lynn at reception for always being warm and welcoming. The nurses -- Stacey, Mariam, Kristen, Sarah, and Shelley -- are absolutely exceptional. Each of them has shown genuine compassion, patience, and professionalism. They take the time to listen, explain every step, and make sure I feel comfortable and cared for. I have never once felt rushed or dismissed. Dr. Justensen is knowledgeable, attentive, and truly compassionate. The level of empathy and quality of care this team provides goes beyond medical treatment -- they restore confidence, dignity, and hope during a very vulnerable time. Wound care can be physically and emotionally draining, but this team makes you feel safe, supported, and respected every step of the way. I highly recommend KU's Wound Care to anyone needing specialized, compassionate treatment. You will truly be in the best hands.

The Chiropractor I had been with moved his practice far away. She refused to adjust me. She asked me why I looked the way I did as she communicated a bill of 120. with no adjustment included. I told her I wondered why I was being charged the amount and if I was being over charged. She suggested I leave. She said I was argumentative and stated that I argued with the receptionist, hung up, and called back. I tried my best to explain she was mistaken and it wasn't me. The receptionist was pleasant and I reciprocated. I had a pinched nerve. She made me stand for an Xray in excruciating pain. She went on and on about not adjusting me. She said something about me coming back Tuesday. The receptionist or whomever manned the front desk. Put gel on my back and used a machine that looked like an ultra sound. It did little to nothing. I left still in excurciating pain. It cost 49 dollars for an xray. 21 dollars for the xray to be read. 49 more dollars for the gel on my back and about 7 minutes of a machine that looked like an ultra sound. I made an appt for the next day to get adjusted which was going to cost more money. They wouldn't tell me how much. I left Friday 9/4/26 still in excruciating pain. Dr. Denton treated me so badly and uncaring I was afraid to get an adjustment from her. But I was so desparate and at her mercy. I made an appt. and hoped she would adjust me. I went to the joint Dr. the next morning 9/5/26 after they called me. I registered with them on line Friday. I chose Dr. Denton's office because their reviews were good and they promised help on the website. The joint Dr. adjusted me. He was kind and made me feel not afraid, though I was in a lot of pain. I had to pay another 120 dollars. But, I got the first visit, relief from the pain, and 6 more visits for that price. 9/5/26 The joint Dr. adjusted me and I was able to put weight on my right leg.

I booked an appt for the very next morning online and got there right as they opened for my 9 am visit. There were 2 other folks in line before me who had times after mine (9:15 am), but I'm not gonna hate on them for being more punctual. So, just something to keep in mind if you like being on time. Stormy at the front desk was super nice and welcoming, too. Overall, this was an efficient visit. I don't think I waited longer than 10 mins in the lobby before I was called back for vitals. There was some time between that and actually talking to the physician, but not that long. I felt the staff were professional and cared. I was in and out of there in under an hour. After my visit was done, Stormy let me know there are other locations where I'm from in TX, so that was definitely good to know for future use. I know some reviews have mentioned shady business as far as charges go, but I can't speak to that. I was happy to see my copay was only $25. I'd say overall, it was good quality care for the experience.

I came in after a sports injury with what turned out to be a complete Achilles tendon rupture,…read moreconfirmed by MRI three days later. At my visit to Carbon Care, however, the PA diagnosed me with a partial calf muscle strain and confidently ruled out an Achilles injury without performing the Thompson test, which I found out is the standard clinical test for this exact injury. I was told to follow up in two weeks with no imaging ordered. I want to be fair, the staff was kind and the PA wasn't dismissive. However, if you're not an expert in something, it's also okay, and I believe your medical responsibility, to say you're not the expert and refer me to one. The missed diagnosis meant I left without the correct treatment plan for a serious injury, and I only got clarity by seeking a second opinion the next day. If you come in with a suspected Achilles injury, especially after a pop during push-off, I'd encourage you to ask specifically whether the Thompson test has been performed and push for immediate imaging to confirm. Don't let two weeks pass before finding out. Fortunately I had some strong advocates in my corner to push for a second opinion.
