It was packed but the man working the front desk kept his cool. We would have liked to see somone spray the counter down but masks and hand sanitizer were readily available. Didn't wait too long before a nurse (or maybe student) took me back- super sweet, professional and caring. The physician who treated me- was the same. They were busy but he took time to answer all my questions. I felt confident in his analysis and reccomendations. I guess this is a training facility but It's like a mini hospital here- you go back into a room w/ separate bays (looks like an ER). You actually pay from your bed which I thought was weird but convient. Any who as far as urgent cares go- I highly reccomend. It was very efficient.

The cost of this 30 minute visit? $9,000. Yep, that's what they charged our insurance company for that little 39 minute visit. And, of course the insurance company never paid for all of it, and wanted us to pay $2,000 out of our own pocket. We disputed this with the insurance company, asking for an investigation into these fraudulent charges and they were no help. We then went to Kendall Health who runs this Doral ER and they just ignored our calls. Needless to say, this place is a total scam, and we will never be going back. I have no idea how these people sleep at night over-billing patients at an enormous rate.

I remember that shortly prior to retiring they turned over their customer service calls to an outside provide . The new doctors continues with this practice and it is extremely hard to get accurate responsive phone service due to this. For example, I made an appointment over the phone and the outside service took the call I made it a point to ask them to be sure it was within the allotted time frame my insurance allows. I went to my appointment and it was outside of the time frame my insurance allows. Had I been able to call the office directly, they would have verified my medical records to ensure I would be able to claim the cost on insurance. Another time I left my glasses in the office, it was a challenge to get someone on the phone to check for me. I realize lots of office feel they must outsource their customer service calls but it just makes it so difficult, I've decided to just drive to the office whenever I have a question. Other than the phone service concern, I have to say that the new doctore, Dr Elgozy, is a kind and compassionate doctor. I feel well taken care of by his staff. If you do not need to have direct access to the doctors office I highly recommend this practice. Everyone in the office is truly wonderful.

I had a very disappointing experience at Nicklaus Children's urgent care during my baby's visit…read moreyesterday. My 5-month-old son had developed an unusual discharge from his penis, so we brought him in to be evaluated. Unfortunately, the doctor who came into the room never even introduced herself, so I do not know her name. From the moment she walked in, her tone was loud, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude toward both my husband and me. While examining my baby, she forcefully pulled back his foreskin even after I explained that I only retract it gently as far as it naturally goes without forcing it. She continued to pull it further back, which caused visible fissures and pain to the tip of his foreskin. Seeing my baby in pain because of an unnecessary action was extremely upsetting. After that, she stated that the only way to know what was happening was to catheterize my baby to obtain a urine sample. When I respectfully declined that option, she became irritated and began lecturing us about how parents' fears sometimes prevent problems from being detected early. While I understand that doctors need to explain risks and options, the way she spoke to us was judgmental and unprofessional. What made the interaction even more shocking was the way she asked about my son's care. Instead of using appropriate medical language, she asked, "Do you guys peel it back?" This wording felt extremely inappropriate and unprofessional for a pediatric medical setting. As parents, we came in concerned about our baby's health and expected compassion, professionalism, and respectful communication. Instead, we felt dismissed, judged, and our baby was physically hurt during the examination. I brought my child with no sort of pain , just looking for a diagnosis. Now I have him at home suffering from that bad procedure and guess what , with not a single answer I hope the hospital takes patient experience and bedside manner seriously, especially when dealing with infants and worried parents.

Called 5 times and was hung up on all 5.. again a doctors office with no customer service is not a good one I have worked in healthcare for nearly 20 years and have never experienced patient care handled in this manner. I would encourage prospective patients to be aware of these issues before choosing this practice. And last but not least if you disagree with them, they delete you off the Healow app with MY patient records and cut access to your medications..
