There are some locations that have one or two staff members that nice and friendly. At tis location all of the staff are extremely kind and friendly. From the time you go to check in Giovanni greets you with warmth and a smile. She is very patient with everyone there. The rest of the staff, Ronnie, Zoey, Kathy Okamatsu and Dr. Kandah are fantastic. Very understanding, patient and kind. It makes it extremely comfortable to go for the appointments. I couldn't ask for better treatment. Be honest and nice to the staff and I'm sure you will be treated the same. read more

Went here for a basic physical exam and drug screening because my new place of employment required it. I walked in, filled out the paperwork, and was waiting for 1.5 hours (only about 2 other people in the waiting room with me) and then was called for my drug screening which only takes about 5 minutes. After my drug screening, they told me to wait back in the waiting room for my physical. Waited an extra 20 minutes and was called back. I waited in the physical exam room for the doctor for more than an hour before anyone came in to check on me. I would've left awhile ago, but I had to get this all done today since the next day my employment required some paperwork the next day. This is just so ridiculous at this point. I had a terrible migraine today. I had to pull over on the way to work in a parking lot. I called off and called my doctor. He couldn't see me for at least an hour, and with a full schedule, who knows it would have been. I was faced with 2 choices, go home suffer and wait for my docotor, or go to the ER. Neither of these appealed to me. I needed help now but I did not want an ER bill. I remembered Urgent Care. SO I made my way there to see that it had changed ownership. I drove around the block because I wasn't sure if I could go in, I thought Concentra did only workman's comp. I decided I couldn't go home and suffer so I gave it a chance. I walked in and said I had a terrible migraine and asked if I could be seen. They said they could and explained the new direction Concentra is going in and that they've bought out some Urgent Care clinics. I was promptly registered and only had to sit about 3 minutes before they came and got me. I was taken to a dark room after my vitals and a doctor came to see me not long after. I was assessed and treated within minutes. And that is exactly what I needed because every minute was like torture. The nurses were so kind and gentle. They were comforting and reassuring. After letting the medicine take hold and a few minutes of rest I was fine. The doctor came back and said I could go on my merry way. She even gave me prescriptions to take home and fill in case I wake up with migraine symptoms. I think this concept is brilliant. Fast, affordable, kind care. If I would have gone home, I would have suffered for hours. If I would have gone to the ER it would have cost me so much money and I know I wouldn't have received such quick care. I was even able to get to work before 11:00! I hope I won't be needing urgent care again soon, but I will defiantly keep Concentra in mind as an alternative to the ER. read more

Not impressed at all. I have a regular GP that I go to here but it's kind of useless when they tell you they can't fit you in for two weeks, especially when you have a cough that isn't going away. After having a wonderful experience at the Concentra location in Highlands Ranch, I thought I would try the Cherry Creek location since it's way more convenient for me. Bad move. I looked on their website and it said they were open until 8pm I believe and when I drove past there, I saw the location but it was poorly lit with no signs as to where to park. So I called them just to confirm and the girl who answered, Monique, seemed inconvenienced that I called and maybe a little annoyed to be working. She told me they were open and parking was on the side or in back. I parked, walked over and even though I was in Cherry Creek, really didn't feel safe because the lack of lighting. I walked in and should have just walked out. There were two receptionists who don't know the definition of a smile and two nurses in the back area on their cell phones, hello unprofessional! The receptionist got my information, I sat down and was called in about three minutes later so that was the silver lining to everything. The guy seeing me, Luke (one of the people on their cell phone), was cold and really didn't seem concerned with why I was in-he asked me why, I told him and that's it. He took my vitals, didn't tell what any of them were and then got up, opened the door which left me confused and I had to ask if I was supposed to go with him. Turns out yes so that would have been nice if he said that and he put me in a room and less than a minute later the PA was in to see me. We went over my symptoms, she was a bit more personable and I was out of there in five minutes. I got the prescriptions I needed and was impressed by how quick the whole process was (in and out in less than 30 minutes!) but the employees here really need to work on their people skills. I visited here back in February and the horrible visit is still haunting me. I had a sinus infection so just needed some quick meds. I arrived 15 minutes before it opened so luckily I was the third person to check in for the day. I waited almost 2 hours to go back and see the "doctor" - if you could call this woman that. Between the nurse with long extension nails (unsanitary) and the unpolished Doctor (she looked and acted like she just came off the prairie- which is fine if that's your thing, but I expected to see a trained medical professional) then I got slammed with a $300 bill! I have great insurance but this place totally overcharged for the service I received. I do not recommend you go here, ever! read more

The desk and medical staff are fine here. Wait times can be long, but they're still much better than an emergency room visit or waiting a few days to see my own doctor. The reasons I don't give it more stars: 1) I get strep quite often and three doctors there at three different times have put me on penicillin for it ***after I've told them penicillin doesn't work.*** I always try it, thinking "maybe this time," but it doesn't, and I end up a) having them call in another prescription for me or b) going to my regular doc to get something else. 2) I received a final bill about a week ago for services rendered in early January. I realize glitches happen, but c'mon - five months? No one plans to owe anything extra after that long. I don't intend to return to this location, but if I do, I'll update. read more

This Concentra is very busy, and you are going to wait! Lots of sick people in waiting area. You are greeted at the Front Desk with an almost challenging attitude: "Your expected wait time is 90 minutes". So you smile and wait. And wait. Finally when I got to the back, it went quickly and the health professionals knew what they were doing. My occupational Health visit took exactly one hour, and I am hoping I didn't catch something from all the coughing sneezing masses in that waiting room! The attached parking lot is tight and was filled to the brim when I was there. I would not recommend this as a place to replace your primary care physician, and especially not for an emergency. I would not recommend this for occupational services either due to the wait time. It is a busy location on a busy street, and will do in a pinch. read more

I had to wait two and a half hours to get a physical done as I saw countless people be seen before me before they told me I hadn't fully checked in after an hour. I went in to this Concentra with abdominal pain. I had been diagnosed with an ovarian cyst by my gyno and she had decided to watch it and check if it grew after a few weeks (common for a benign cyst) It was after my doc's hours and since my pain was debilitating, I went to this "urgent care." After waiting about 45 mins to be seen, I waited another 45 or so in the examination room. When the doctor finally did come in, he came didn't have my file and wrote all the info I relayed to the nurse on a PAPER TOWEL!!!!! Also, while I was waiting for the doctor, I heard a nurse say "oh she's fine!" in the hallway. I do not know what or who he was talking about because I was in a lot of pain and I could hear the woman next to me hacking up a lung in the next room. Finally, the doctor says he thinks my cyst burst (found out later it didn't) and he gave me a prescription for perc, told me to see my doc or go the er if pain was worse. Go to fill the prescription and the pharmacist told me it was technically ILLEGAL because the doctor wrote the wrong year! 2015 instead of 2014. I am currently contesting my bill and refuse to pay it. STAY AWAY!!! read more

Came here this morning as the husband was up all night hacking - I say this lovingly... Not able to get a doc appt. I remembered a postcard I got in the mail about this location so we headed on over. There were no patients when we arrived and we were immediately greeted and asked to sign in and were given only 3 sheets of paperwork which wasn't too bad. We arrived at 8:20am and were in with the nurse by 8:40am - not a bad wait time. There was a new trainee being shown how to enter all of the paperwork so that slowed it down a bit - but everyone needs to learn. The nurse? was wearing a badge that said radiology tech so I was not sure what her position was. She took his BP, asked a series of questions and tried to take his oral temp twice but could not get one. Standard stuff. We were then led into a private exam room where the doctor came in - he was friendly and really asked good questions -taking his time - I was impressed by him. He got our prescriptions called in, gave us ample instruction and we were on our way by 9:00 am. If we felt it was something more serious we would have gone to our PCP but given the lack of appt availability and needing to get to work - this was a good choice for us. The waiting area was clean, there is a single cup coffee maker and current magazines. The parking lot was blocked off but there was ample street parking (2 hour max). read more

First off, the location has changed, it is about 2 blocks south on Colorado now. My husband hurt himself at work and was sent here to get checked out. The service at the front is wonderful, they are friendly and quick. We did not have an appointment so we expected to wait, which we did, and wait, and wait. He got put on restrictions for work so he had to go back today to see if they could be removed. We made an appointment for 3:30 and 2 hours after that he finally saw a doctor. It's a great facility and they took care of him, but if you have an appointment it should not take 2+ hours. read more

When I called back to ask for the antibiotics the doctor told me she would prescribe if the DayQuil she first gave me didn't work, I was told I would have to come in for a second visit. I hate to write a bad review but it has to be done! I went to this Concentra location after being sick for over a month with what I referred to as "death cold." After failing to recover on my own and feeling as though I had a respiratory infection, my neighbor recommended Concentra. Here is the only positive part of this review: - decently clean and modern waiting area - the doctor I saw was very kind and knowledgeable Sit back, relax, and read why this place barely gets 1 star! The male nurse invited me into the triage room, where he began to ask about my medical history. His lack of knowledge regarding basic medical terms was unnerving. When he asked if I had any surgeries, I mentioned a lumpectomy I had done roughly a year ago. He was searching for the term to file it under in his computer records, and then forgot what he was looking for and asked me to describe my "breast thing" (I think he meant "procedure") again. Ugh. We repeat that process for five different categories of questions he asked me. Eventually we got through the painful triage experience and I get to see a doctor. The doctor confirmed I had an upper respiratory infection, said that my nasal cavity was very inflamed and that she imagined I was uncomfortable (I think she meant MISERABLE. Or DESPERATE). Okay great. Let me get out of here and get my drugs so after a month of agony I can finally get better. The doctor prescribed me antibiotics and a nasal spray and confirmed that she would send it to Target immediately. The male nurse (same one from triage) came in to explain my prescribed treatment plan. He made a point of reading it aloud to me, and the strangest part was he could not pronounce ANY of the medical terms. He just kind of mumbled over the long words. I'm not trying to be derogatory, I PROMISE.... it's fine if you aren't a great reader in some professions but I was literally helping him sound out medication names. Where did they find this guy?? Is he certified?? I rushed to Target, desperate for my drogas (Spanish for drugs), and the pharmacist said she had only received one medication from Concentra ---- THE NASAL SPRAY. If all I wanted was nasal spray, I promise you I wouldn't have spent three hours at Concentra. It was 7pm, and Concentra had just closed. Which meant a wasted trip to Target, and another day at work without medication. "Death cold" had been reached its lowest point as tears welled up in my eyes and I tried not to look directly at the pharmacist. I wish this rating was really just a sad, dramatic outburst but unfortunately it is a perfectly accurate account of my experience at Concentra - South Colorado Blvd. read more

What really made me mad is that I got a bill for $700 for a 5 minute visit. What a joke! Stay away from this place! I was at another location before and thought that this new place would be different, but I was wrong. I felt really sick that day and the waiting time was over one hour!! I consider the doctors I saw as very incompetent, because he said that they don't have a lab and needed to send me somwhere else to get my labwork done. The staff was'nt really friendly either. This is one of THE worst urgent care facilities around Denver. Although the receptionists are often times friendly with the patients, they sit around and make jokes about making people wait and not wanting to take patients after a certain time. I recently overheard a MA tell a patient wanting a physical "you better hurry up and fill that paper work out because the docs leave right when we close!" How rude!!! Clearly people are not coming here because they feel the best. Helpful service goes a long way. Don't quote patients several hours wait time just to discourage them from getting the care they need! They were helpful in getting me the proper brace for my job injured wrist and got me in contact with the proper surgeon. But then when I went back to the same nurse for a signature for my job records, she refused to sign it even though she was the last one to exam it. On another ocassion I went there about the same injury close to closing time and I was rushed out without the proper work restrictions due for my injury. I am so glad that we came to this location. What a great experience. My partner was extremely ill and they saw us in about 20 minutes after checking in. The clinic was very clean and Dr. Okamatsu (on second thought, she might be a nurse practitioner and not a physician) was incredibly professional, efficient, and kind. The other staff were efficient and professional. The clinic was new and sparkling clean. As a former EMT myself, I was very impressed at the cleanliness and competence that I saw here at Concentra. I was extremely stressed and they were wonderful to us. My partner had unfortunately waited until he was extremely ill to get medical treatment, and I was very worried. Dr. Okamatsu diagnosed him rapidly, and within minutes we were on our way to the pharmacy to get medications. The last time I went to the ER, I was there for 10 hours, so it was a pleasant surprise to experience Concentra's efficiency! Dr. Okamatsu gave us detailed instructions and explained what to do if he didn't get better. The medicine started working quickly and he was much, much better. I was so grateful that they got it right, and that we were seen quickly. I will definitely return and I am very, very impressed with the way Concentra does business. read more

I must say this is a Great place go to for medical needs. Rose Medical Center told me to come here for the follow up on my leg. I'm glad I did everyone here is so nice and friendly, they offer you bottle water or coffee when you come. Plus I get my Therapy there too which I'll be getting more of. The wait time was not long I thing I waited maybe half hour. Had to fill out some paperwork everything went OK. Will be going back next week to see the Dr and Therapy. read more

Where do I begin. First, the care here is good. Not great. Just good. There were 2 people ahead of us (we arrived when they opened) and we waited for 3 hours. But what is really making me angry is the fact that I have received 3 threatening bills (for my copay) - which I PAID. I paid it TWICE. Most recently, they sent me a refund check for it. I called and was told my account was paid in full. I received a "final notice" that I owe the copay within 10 days, or they will pursue legal action. I have THREE receipts that show I paid. I have provided this. I have called several times. I don't know what to do. It's harassing and time consuming, but I don't want to end up in collections for $15 that I've paid THREE TIMES. They're dangerous. A real physician is rarely there. A PA who knows nothing will "treat" you.You will ALWAYS have to go back - first they give you RX for over the counter medication. "Lidocaine" hahahaha for a fracture. If you have an appointment to see the doctor, the "medical director," she will change her mind and switch the appointment & arrangements you made with work to come in for that appointment - it no longer exists. Doesn't matter if at your work you have your own appointments. IF you have an appointment .... prepare to wait anyway. It doesn't matter. They are doing you a favor. Concentra has become incompetent, beyond not caring. This one is the leader .... where the medical director "works", a doctor. Prepare to suffer and pay .... and pay ... and pay. Loose work and pay. Save yourself the trouble or have ZERO expectation of anyone knowing what's going on. Apathy of the patient is apparent with every encounter from the initial phone conversation trying to dissuade you from coming in (hint, hint). Go to the ER or a different urgent care - it's faster, they have doctors and the billing is straight forward. Guaranteed it gets no worse somewhere else. read more

I told them very calmly that if they were planning on doing a pregnancy test that would uncesssary as I can't become pregnant, The nurse explained they wouldn't do a test yet here I am paying a charge for a pregnancy test. Currently sitting in an examination room. Arrived shortly after opened and no one was waiting in the waiting room. Front desk staff friendly and nice. Was taking back into a room waited another 20 minutes for a doctor that started off with "I'm not sure you are at the right place" meaning the emergency room. I heard her say the same thing to the patient next door. The doctor was unhelpful and basically had no answers. Used Concentre to get short term extension of prescription for migraine medication because my doctor retired and i was switching insurance. * Concentra doc made a mistake on prescription-- (reduced dosage from 30mg to 10mg). * i went in and pointed out discrepancy. three people gave me four different reasons they needed to change dosage (?!) * then they called my pharmacy, who confirmed 30mg was proper dosage * Concentra solution: pay them for another visit with their doctor, or go see my old one (the retired one!). thanks for nothing! read more

After suffering with horrendous back pain for four days, and having been ignored by my PCP, and overlooked by my first chiropractor, I came to Concentra where Dr Adams helped treat what ended up being a bulging disc in my lower back. Her understanding and direct nature not only helped me feel better about the pain I've been experiencing, but validated the fact that I truly had injured my back & set me on the road to recovery with referrals for PT and pain management. read more

Beware of misleading billing and maddeningly difficult to reach customer support. I came here in February for stitches and was told that the bill would be $180, $120 of which I paid on the spot. The next month, I received a bill for over $400. When I called to ask for this to be corrected, I was told to call a corporate office, where I spoke to someone who said he would fix the situation, leaving "at most a small balance," and would get back to me to confirm. I never heard from him again; and when I got a second bill with the same $400+ amount, I called the corporate office again and was told that that agent no longer worked there. I exchanged voicemails for months after this (I only reached voicemail whenever I called) before finally being told that, despite assurances I'd been given both at the local office and by the corporate representative, the $400+ bill would not be adjusted. Quick service on Christmas Eve. I knew I had a bronchitis and needed meds. The polite and efficient female doc listened to me breathe with her stethoscope and immediately confirmed my diagnosis. Even offered a couple meds I hadn't thought of. Oh that's right.,,,that's why they go to med school! I wanted to avoid the $75 copay my insurance charges for going to a Urgent Care, but it was worth it because the Walgreen's Take Care clinic had a long wait and when you're sick....you just wanna get started on meds ASAP. I'm new to the area and don't have a regular doctor yet. Luckily it's Dec and I have FSA dollars to burn. I would have given them a 5 stars, but the receptionist and triage nurse both had that that, "I am not thrilled to be here on Christmas Eve" attitude. The doctor wasn't warm and fuzzy either, but, it was efficient and I was expecting a long painful wait. I hope I don't need to go back anytime soon, but if I do, I would go here in a heartbeat. read more
