You do not call the company that you're shipping to on Tuesday evening to tell them that their shipment will arrive in the morning. Then they called me 5 hours AFTER my truck was supposed to arrive to tell me they have lost my shipment! They lost it in Denver a few days ago, I am in Austin. All they can tell me is "we have no idea where your freight is". This is unacceptable. This definitely would have been faster to use a horse and buggy at this point and I am certain the horses would be much more competent than Con-Way employees! read more

Plain horrible freight company. Too long of a story but in short they are just plain horrible. From damaged items to disorganized dispatch and communications. Unfortunately I had to deal with them as they were the freight company used by the company I bought my items from. A true nightmare. read more

Unfortunately they are the company of choice when delivering to my area. I've had three items delivered by this company over the past several years and it's always been a hassle. The first was a generator (280 lbs) delivered in trailer truck with no lift gate, in the rain, at 11:30 pm. I asked the driver how we were going to get it off the truck and he said, "There's two of us. 140 lbs for you and 140 lbs for me." The second was a 4 post bed. The packaging was badly damaged and the driver wouldn't stick around for me to open it up for inspection. The third was a delivery of steel shelving well over 200 lbs, but separated into 6 boxes. The boxes were all wrapped together with clear plastic on a shipping pallet. I wanted to cut them apart and haul them separately, but the driver insisted that he had to make delivery "in-tact." I give this company zero stars, but I guess the ratings here don't go that low. read more

I purchased 50 display cases from Roxy Display in New Jersey (over $20,000) and they sent them on 7 - 8 foot long pallets. The shipping company (Con-Way) sent two guys and a couple regular length pallet jacks. The pallets weighed a few thousand pounds each and the delivery guys needed my help to unload and bring the pallets into my store. Con-Way didn't send the proper tools or enough guys. Fortunately, I was able to help and had a pallet jack to use but it got damaged while helping. Why should I have to help unload a truck? I spent $1000's to have these delivered. Con-Way blames Roxy display for improperly packaging the case components. Neither Con-Way nor Roxy will reimburse me for my broken pallet jack nor my labor and this was on a $20,000+ order. Take your business elsewhere and save the expense and aggravation. read more
