They were going to charge us $351 to load it and take it about 6 miles. We ended up having it towed to our house so our final bill was $494. I knew this was high but had no choice but to pay it. I checked with a couple different towing places and we were, in fact, charged more than customary. I would NOT recommend ISLAND TOWING. I feel like we were taken advantage of in an unfortunate circumstance. So if you are ever in a situation where you have to be towed from an accident, BEWARE! Support the great businesses in our town the DON'T overcharge. If I help one person avoid getting price gouged, then this post was worth the time.

Bauer was the ONLY tire place along I80 from Kearney to Lincoln who said come in now. Primarily, they appear to be a truck operation but they service cars too. The tire was irreparable (they gladly showed us the damage) and we decided to get 4 new tires (they were happy to just sell us 2-- no pushy sales). Their prices were reasonable. They offered their break room for us to eat. Then, my husband locked our keys in the car. They took care of that too. Super friendly, hospitable service. Fairly priced. They made a long day with some bad luck so much more pleasant!
