These in my opinion are the best popusas in town. The flavor is very good. And the thing that I love most is that they are not greasy. The texture is perfect! Soft and fluffy! My favorite ones are queso and chicharron. Of course, I think they are all delicious, they have many others to choose from. I also tried their Salvadoran horchata, and I personally was not a fan. It has a strong sesame aftertaste. Guess I'll go with my usual coke next time. Service has always been great! These popusas are made to order and good things take time. So just be patient. The place isn't fancy, it used to have some color. I don't what happened but the popusas have not lost its good taste and quality, guess that all that matters!

    Shrimp Coctel de Camarones

Really wanted to support a small business but after I got sick I had to put this review. Ordered a shrimp cocktail and the shrimp were raw. I didn't check when I went in for the first bite, but as I ate it, something didn't seem right. When I start looking through the coctel, that's when I noticed. I even asked the lady who seemed to be the one in charge if they were cooked and she said yes, but it was very obvious they were not. I let her know that I wanted to make sure because my toddler was with me in case she was going to have some, and she still insisted that they were cooked. I did not give my toddler any luckily.

Experience: We came here on a whim after washing our car across the street. We were in the mood for something doughy and cheesy, conveniently located, this restaurant was right at the intersection so we decided on pupusas. The place was jumpin, a few tables occupied, and people coming into order non stop. After 20 minutes of me placing my order in person we were served. Food: We ordered four pupusas. $3.65 each. The menu had over forty options to choose from, just for the pupusas, I didn't even look at the other part of the menu. Initially I was super excited, they had all sorts of veggies, meats, and seafood to add to the queso. I got the pineapple and cheese, revueltos con todo, squash and cheese, and yam and cheese. Unfortunately the flavors were drowned out and overpowered by the cheese. I was really looking forward to the pineapple one. I wanted to bite into an equal shared bit of sweet pineapple and cheese. If the cook is able to tone down the cheese, this would be an easy 4 stars. It was all tasty, but it all tasted the same. It has potential. For the price, I can still get a $3 pupusa off a street vendor by Macarthur Park. Customer Service: The young person at the register was calm and sweet. She had the phone ringing non stop and was also the one serving the food. She held it together very nicely. Verdict: I would go back only if we were washing our car in the area. There are so many pupusa spots to choose from, but I've never seen a menu with so many options, that in itself is why I would try it again.

The food was very bland . No salt , no flavor. The casamiento was dry. The rice was super dry & tasted old had no flavor as well. The desayuno plate had no cheese, also found a piece of chicharron on my beans & im an allergic to pork. The platanos was too soggy & burnt not cooked right. Worst Salvadoran food I've ever tried. Not worth the price. I've tried better authentic Salvadoran food than this . I was disappointed

Don't let the location fool you. This simple little place will make you come back over and over again. Their pupusas are on point with flavor taste. The proof is in the people who keep streaming in here. Whether it's dine in, pick up, or order in, you will not be disappointed. It's well lit, and the tables aren't crowded, but dont just stop in for the pupusas however.

Defintely enough for two. We took 2 pupusas home.

First of all, our server was wonderful -- incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. He gave thoughtful recommendations and explained the specials so well that we were immediately tempted. Now, I'll preface this by saying I'm half Argentinian -- so I'm very picky when it comes to Argentine food, especially chimichurri. I'm usually pretty critical. But Lala's absolutely delivered. The chimichurri was delicious -- bright, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Paired with the fresh, warm table bread? So good. Even though I normally can't resist empanadas, we followed our server's recommendation and started with the morcilla (blood sausage). It was incredible -- rich, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. For my entrée, I ordered the Fresh Spinach Pappardelle and took our server's suggestion to pair it with pesto sauce. As someone who loves pesto (and finds it surprisingly hard to get right in Southern California), I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. It was fresh, vibrant, and satisfying without being heavy. My boyfriend ordered the Lomo (center-cut filet mignon). He's a sous chef at his own restaurant, so he's extremely critical when dining out -- and he had nothing but amazing things to say. That says a lot. The food quality was superb, the service was attentive without being overbearing, and the overall vibe was perfect for a Valentine's dinner. We'll absolutely be back -- and next time, I'm bringing my best friend (also half Argentinian) for her approval.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

I ordered a loaded carne asada-style dish served over fresh greens, and every bite was intentional and well-balanced. The beef was deeply seasoned, tender, and slightly crisped in places, which added great texture. It was topped with a creamy, slightly tangy sauce that tied everything together without overpowering the meat. What really stood out was the attention to detail: pickled red onions for acidity, fresh greens for balance, and a side of house-made pickled vegetables that cut through the richness perfectly. The tostada-style side topped with avocado, herbs, and onions added a nice contrast--crunchy, fresh, and vibrant. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Portion size was generous without feeling excessive, and the dish felt hearty yet clean. I paired it with a refreshing citrus drink that complemented the meal well and kept everything light. Overall, this is the kind of place where you can tell the kitchen cares about execution. Bold flavors, great balance, and a presentation that looks just as good as it tastes. I would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying, well-crafted meal

She handed us menus and told us to order at the counter when we were ready and they serve breakfast all day. The menu can feel a little intimidating. It has Mexican, Guatemalan and Salvadoran which I am not all that familiar with. We landed on a couple of pupusas and a couple of fish tacos. There are signs letting you know the food is cooked to order and to expect a 20-25 minute wait, so at least they set expectations up front. The dining room was small but warm and colorful and there were additional tables set up just outside the front door. We had no problem finding a table inside. When the food came out, the portions were generous and the presentation was better than you'd expect from a humble neighborhood grill. The pupusas were crisp on the outside with plenty of filling, and the fish tacos were fresh and well-seasoned -- nothing greasy, nothing bland. Friendly service, solid food, and a spot I'd definitely come back to now that I know what to order.
