I decided to call Comwave for a price for intrrnet etc. I was extremely disappointed. In Tie Domi's ads on TV, there is no mention of the fact that there is a non refundable deposit on equipment plus a $90.00 administrative fee. This brought my total to $240.00 without them even setting foot on my soil. Then i was told that i would have no choice but to pay the monthly amount on their set date regardless of my position. I told them i was on disability and sometimes i needed to juggle a bit. They said NO WAY, OUR WAY ONLY. So they discriminate against disabled persons. Are you paying attention? TIE DOMI??? read more

They tried to give my dad an account in my name because his account was sent to collections. I guess they will do anything for a sale.

No internet for 6 day, all paid, 2 tickets- no one called, upgraded (!), Problem still there. Cancelling - now they calling. We missed online graduation, oncology appointment and 5 days of work. Comwave Is very dishonest, for me to have my phone disconnected they are charging me 57.31$ There was nothing in there policy that states there is a charge to disconnect there service. I had Eastlink and Bell before and they never charge me to have their service disconnected or ask for a deposit on their equipment. When I joined with them I had to put a 200$ deposit on their equipment. They already sent the equipment to me,but before the equipment was hooked up and the service man was here they demanded the payment. I should have had hind sight that there is going to be problems They had trouble with the phone service, 5 days later the phone started working., the internet often goes to a crawl speed, I called them ad they say it is the problem is with Bell, I never had problems with Bell when I had their service. read more

If I can give them 0, I would! They are horrible scam artists who take advantage of people . My dad no longer wanted to deal with them - closed his account. Only to have them send another monthly charge . When he finally paid , they decided to charge him back fee and contact him after a year via credit adjusters that he owed them money. it accumulated from $27 to $90! when we tried talking to them they stated They have emailed and called every month - absolutel lie! He never received no phone call or email until credit adjusters sent him an email for the outstanding balance - year later!! scam artists read more

I have been comwave for a couple of years and have been counting down the time until my contract is up. What kind of telecommunications company doesn't have 24 hour support. Their customer service is non existent and it takes ages to get anything resolved. I'm sure to tell everyone I meet shopping for internet, home phone etc to stay away. Never thought I'd say I'm looking forward to paying rogers or bell more! read more

I have had nothing but issues with this company. They were supposed to send me a way bill to return equipment I don't use (and didn't want in the first place) I did not ask for or want cable, they set it up anyway for "free for 6 months" then when I tried to cancel it before my actual contract was over, they charged me a $200 cancellation fee. When I argued it, they charged me for equipment I did not return eventhough I requested a way bill which I never received. They continuously suspended my services based on the $160+ I "owe" for an unreturned cable box while my actual usage is paid in full. It's infuriating. Now I'm without internet over the long weekend because I'm in arrears that aren't actual arrears. And the call center is closed. read more

Fellow Comwave customers who have had problems or maybe nightmares from the poor customer service, misleading reps, long waits for customer service reps who provide no help, the run around etc.... Finally there is help don't laugh .... It's true! Write an email to social@comwave.net explain your situation and watch what happens. I personally was truly impressed by Jon Rennie (not 100% sure on spelling) but all emails sent to social@comwave.net cross his desk. My Comwave experience was 100% negative until a week or two ago when I got a call from Jon. My experience was so bad had gotten in touch with lawyers to see about starting a class action lawsuit. Anyway not sure how Jon found out about my situation with Comwave but think it was from my Yelp review or maybe Twitter. What happened from his phone call to the next day having an apology in writing and full refund from all monies paid was remarkable. I certainly hope Comwave has turned the corner and finally understands that we demand customer service and deserve it. I believe they are getting on track and with people like Jon will make us all happy one day. As we certainly need more companies then Rogers & Bell #comwave read more

This a review based on my experience with ephone. Ephone is an offering with a free number, unlimited incoming call and available through web or mobile apps. While the base service is free, there are different optional services including long distance minutes (USD $5,10, 30) and voicemail ($10/year). Even though the long distance minutes can be used within Canada, the charges are in USD. As per ephone terms of service, the long distance minutes do not expire. The offering is very promising at first glance. However, ephone was never fully implemented. The self service portal does not allow the users to change any of the optional services. I had two numbers set up. Each account has voicemail and long distance minutes. Before the anniversary of the voicemail subscription, I was unable to update my Paypal information. So voicemail was not renewed successfully. However, Comwave also cancelled my accounts by taking away the base free numbers and all outstanding long distance minutes. The official support email of ephone@comwave.net is unresponsive. Escalation to support management at their call center has also been ineffective. In this incident, Comwave acted unethically because it: 1) Changed the terms of service unilaterally without advanced notices to users. 2) Kept the payment without delivering the long distance minutes. read more

I am a Comwave customer for years. But now I am very disappointed with their services. I have to call to discuss my bill all the time, what ever the representative gave me for the promotions and the invoices are totally different. Whatever you do.. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS COMPANY OR CALL SELECT. They have terrible customer service, none of their representatives know what their saying, you can never speak to a supervisor or manager. The problem I have with Comwave is that, I made an over payment onto the account and I still haven't got my refund back. Its been more then 2 months now and my bank is still chasing them for payment. These representatives keep telling me different BS each time I call. And apparently if I cancel with them I won't even get my money back. This company is a nightmare to deal with and they really need better business etiquette. read more

Can I give 0 stars ?? They certainly don't even deserve 1 ! I'm going to make this short and simple... Every single day our internet is out, my kids have to do homework they can't, I have to do some work from home oh guess what not happening! Truly pathetic and when you call all you get is tech support telling you to do the same shit every day !! Put a pin in the reset button for a minute , restart the modem ... once your off the phone it's out again!! Also the phone they've "fixed" this numerous time , no one can call me and I can't call out because my phone is not registered ??? Wtf is that ??? Anyway I'm cancelling as they don't keep their end of the contract so I'm not keeping mine ! I will find them to the bitter end on this !!! DO NOT trust comwave ! Stay away. read more

This company is trap and do not fall in trap. For no reason, they will send you bill and keep charging you. Poor services - they charged me for the phone device years ago , i paid the full cost of phone device and when i disconnected they asked me to return this garbage phone device at my cost then when they recieved device they send me restocking fee for the device that i paid and would not value more then 5 dollar. They do not deserve even one star, wish there is negative stars read more

The worse company to go with. There are so many hidden charges. They trap you by giving 6 months free at the beginning but you end up paying way more than that. They were charging me $263 for cancellation, $50 administration fee to transfer the number, shipping fee to return the equipment. If there is any negative star i can give to this company would be more than happy to do. Customer service is so worse. They dont explain just sells the product. Be careful with comwave. There are so many other service providers with better quality product, cheaper price and great customer service. I am with Shaw for 10 years never have any problem. With comwave paid at least $600 extra in three years. They dont accept there employees fault for not explaining and being so rude. read more

The WORST customer service EVER! Steer clear of Comwave, or you will deeply regret it. They outsource customer service to Mexico or somewhere in Latin America. Why not employ Canadian customer service people instead of outsourcing? The agents are polite at first, repeat themselves over and over, yet resolve NOTHING! You will be bounced around from agent to agent, department to department. They will ask you the same thing over and over. Lots and lots of time on hold between agents. Stupid questions asked that they already have the answers to because your file is open on their databank. No answers, speaking in circles, and infuriating you beyond belief. Their sensibilities are not that of a Canadian company's, therefore their responses are placating and inefficient. I'd finally had ENOUGH and had to tell the "manager" Eli that I didn't want to hear his useless Comwave commercial AGAIN, I wanted answers and responsibility. He became angry with me because I told him that I'd had ENOUGH of my time wasted and to refund my money and send an email with the address where I can return the router and modem. Eli is an incompetent IDIOT! Over an hour of my morning wasted AGAIN! TekSavvy hear I come! read more

Words can't describe what my family has been put through by Comwave. There is not enough space for the whole story but I warn you that after you sign up, if the service doesn't work, there is nothing you can do to stop them from harrassing you for payments even after you've cancelled and returned the equipment. Each interaction with customer service is bad enough to bring a grown man to tears. The staff who takes your call to sign up before you're a customer, answers promptly and they're fine. However, existing customers are redirected to seriously incompetent staff & you're on hold forever & they won't transfer you to a manager under any circumstance. We actually took turns taking time off work to make the calls to deal with Comwave! After signing up, there were technical difficulties with the service so we had no choice but to go back to Bell. The problem is that when you call Customer Service, they don't log your call but they promise the cancellation has taken effect and you won't be charged. When you then get charged and call back to follow up, the operator tells you that they don't see the cancellation and then assures you it's now resolved. And over and over again in that sequence. One of the operators, Jose, has serious trouble or pretends to have trouble understanding simple numbers and amounts even after slow repetitions and he has advised that there is no Manager to talk to. He can only send an email to his Manager and wait for a response then call us back but that never happens! After much desperation, it finally occurred to me to drive directly to their administration office at 61 Wildcat Rd in Toronto. The receptionist, Cynthia, was absolutely lovely and showed genuine concern about our ordeal. She gave me a receipt that proved that I indeed returned the equipment and that the account is cancelled and I won't be charged any longer. Two months later (today), we still got harassing calls and emails for payment. I called Customer Service again and was told that I only returned 2 pieces out of the 3 pieces of equipment even though I had Cynthia's receipt outlining 3 separate pieces of equipment with item numbers. Again, I asked for a Manager and was told there isn't one but that they would look into it and call me back. By the way, it turns out that even lovely Cynthia wrote down the wrong item number for my equipment causing more confusion. I located Cynthia again at the Wildcat office and she transferred me to a Manager there who assured me that the cancellation is in effect and I won't be bothered again. This promise was made to me this morning so I can't comment on whether this nightmare is over yet. read more

I have had Comwave Internet and Phone for a year now. Service has been good, had an issue getting the service setup when I first signed up but their Technical Support was good and friendly. They fixed the issue quickly. Since then the service is good and much cheaper then others. Much easier to deal with then Bell! Couple of suggestions, make transferring my number a little easier. Had to fill out a form a couple times to transfer the number but their Technical Support was helpful and I got it done. Also they only do pre-authorized payment so they withdraw from my credit card each month. Easier I guess but I prefer to get the bill and pay it myself. Wish they had TV too! read more

This past October 2020, my 3 years internet contract with Comwave ended. Well, I thought it did . I learnt today from another agent that it was actually automatically renewed last August, without any verbal or written consent on my behalf and without a clear and obvious notification, which would have given me a choice to opt in or out . It was suggested by this agent, like hundreds of other customers are being told, that it is obviously my responsibility to notice the short note located at the end of my monthly August invoice mentioning that a full 3 year long contract was being renewed, unless I switched for a month to month plan. Strange that a year ago, I was very briefly told by a Comwave agent that at the end of the 3 years " it would switch to a month to month plan". Was the automatic renewal ever mentioned to me during that conversation ? NEVER. Comwave purposely hides the abusive and unethical Contract termination terms through pages of clauses in small letters, making it hard for the customers to have a clear idea of what they are getting themselves into. Not once was the auto renewal EVER mentioned to me when I signed my contract 3 years ago or when I tried to cancel it a year ago. On top of this unethical behavior, the internet service is slow and constantly interrupted during rush hour ( download Mbps 5.44 on a sunday at 6pm). Terrible experience and dishonest company. read more

So march 19 2020 we contacted comwave due to our internet being slow..they sent a new modem ...recieved 2 days later problem being itwas not activated and well the office was now shutdown due to covid. Only help was to go online to get a ticket for service Not helpful when you cant get online in the first place! Our old modem was now disconnectedand from march 20 to april 22 we had no internet or home phone numerous attempts to connectwith someone via our cell phone but no luck...they helped themself to payments of 113 monthly and on april 22 i got services with another company ..comwave charged a bogus porting fee to take number to new provider when in reality i came to comwave with the phone number to begin with!! Then we spoke to someone whoapproved return of modems no charge. We sent both back to be charged 56.50 x2.. And best off allthey took another 113monthly payment for services up to may 9th... We tried to connect and sort this out to no avail representitives told us they would refund us on the credit card and itis now december ..just called today again and the guy said the only amount maybe we would see is 113.00 .to wait for the cheque...what a joke! Customer service reps are lying scammers and service is terrible ...not to mention they just help themselves to your credit card with no invoices being available to show charges Scammers My mother had them as providers as well and had constant service issues no phone couldnt call certain numbers and when she recently changed they told her she had to pay 475 she had no contract...and despite telling them to remove her dead husband off account 3 years ago and providing documentation they still hadnt....arguing with her that she could not change providers...making threats etc Terrible people terrible company read more

I want to give them 0 stars, but it doesn't give me the option. This company is horrible! I made a contract for one year and now I called them to cancel it because they were overcharging me. They told me that I am not the account holder and I'm not allowed to cancel it. The funny thing is that they say my husband is who has never even been in contact with them. If I could leave negative stars, I would. HORRIBLE! Was a comwave customer for 3 years. Had nothing but issues. Tech support would have me do the same things over and over and nothing fixed the problem. Finally cancelled when I moved. Continued to charge me for 3 months. Contacted customer service and asked for accommodation due to my disability and was told because there was a history of me calling in prior to my accident, no accommodation would be provided. I continued to write in as my disability is speech related due to an accident and asked repeatedly for my account to be closed. Randomly last week I noticed comwave had taken another 60 some dollars from my bank account . Again initiated support via email and was told after the back and forth of a week that they have mailed a cheque out to my previous address and that communication ended with " ...and no worries! We are here to help" how is sending a cheque to my previous address over 3 hours away where I haven't lived for 6 months helping? How come every other refund for their fraudulent debits from my account have been returned via direct deposit but this time it's by cheque? Why has my request for accommodation under the disabilities act been denied? Don't waste your time, money or effort. SCAM SCAM SCAM. I think Comwave sucks big time. I recently moved to Comwave. The voice quality is not the best. They also advertise lowest long distance rates. When I noticed the rates were higher than their competition, I called customer service. They gave me song and dance, saying that I have to sign up for a monthly $ 1.99 plan to get the lowest rate. Though he would give me credit for first six months for the charge. This advertising is totally deceptive. Also, when I tried using other long distance companies, my number would not be recognized by their local access number and would ask for the PIN number which I did not have to do when I was with Rogers. We recently switched from Comwave back to Roger's because Comwave is highly unreliable and because their customer service department is nonexistant. We filed several tickets for technical issues and one for canceling services and only ever got one call back for an IT issue. Not being able to contact somebody when we needed assistance was the final straw for our decision to leave Comwave. After switching we got an email from Comwave with an invoice saying we owe $692.20 for breach of contract. What contract? My wife called Comwave on March 26 2020 to get information on tv, internet and home phone packages. The lady at Comwave stressed to her over and over that Comwave has no contracts and that we could cancel our services at any time, free of charge. She also told us that we had the first 6 months free. I had read some very negative reviews about Comwave prior to this so we were hesitant to use their services but after the lady at Comwave stressed that we had 6 months free with no contract and no cancelation fees we decided to give it a try. During the 6 months "free" period we actually paid $454.54 for random charges. We never agreed to any kind of term contract and nothing was ever emailed to us stating that there was a contract of any sorts. I don't understand how you can charge someone $700 for breach of contract if we never signed one or agreed to one? Either your sales team are liars or they are incompetent and so far I have paid $1146.74 for that incompetence. Comwave broke their word and charged us $454.54 when we thought it was free and THEN they gouged us for another $692.20. This is a disgusting and extremely unethical way to run a business. Comwave STOLE $700 from my Visa account plus the other random fees during our "free" period. I am a father of 3 with a homemaker wife struggling to get by during COVID-19. This is the difference between putting food on the table and having my children go hungry. I feel sick, like I have just been grifted by a snake oil salesman. I demand that this money be refunded back to my Visa card and I will fight and dispute these charges until I am refunded. Please don't make the same mistake that I did and avoid this disgusting joke of a company at all costs. read more
