The staff from the first person on the phone to nurses,counselors and doctors were amazing and caring people. Well educated and versed in treating addiction and my PTSD. The facilities are nearly brand new and very well maintained. The sober living residence are so comfortable and feel like home. The kitchen staff and food is very good and much healthier than I expected. Not all treatment centers are for everyone and there is no cure for addiction. But in the other review by Gregg M he stated a number of things that are not true and one that is true. First for the truth,he stated that most of the clients were addicted to drugs,we'll yeah it is a drug and alcohol rehab. Now for the lies,I would highly doubt that he witnessed anyone shooting drugs. You and your stuff is given a thorough search for contraband,and the staff is very good at that. The staff was not quitting all the time because I was there in March of 2015 and still continue to volunteer there to this day and the staff then is the staff that is there now with a few additional staff members now. As for staff not showing up for groups,that may happen at times when a staff member is dealing with a crisis or a new intake. You are in group for nearly 8 hours a day and if the instructor can not make it you have free time to reflect on the day or work on assignments. That is being treated as an adult. Now for his claim that the doctors recommend medication and as a patient you can refuse it,they will not give it to you and say it's something else. That is unethical and illegal. When reading Greggs other yelp reviews I noticed he doesn't really like people in the medical field and especially those that refuse him pain medication. I can only speak from my experience but I will say that for those suffering from addiction to do your research and pick the best place for you. After all you are trying to save your life right?

In the paperwork one of the rules had to do with being on time, and if I was late, I could lose my slot. At 8:13 I approached the desk and informed the receptionist that I would need to reschedule, and that my time is just as important as theirs. I noticed two men taking at at station, and the girl said that one of them was my PT. I asked if it was the tall one with his hair in a knot. I then told I did not want him, and that I would taking anyone else. I was then put on a call list if someone was to cancel. About 1 hour later I get a call that they had an opening at 5:30 with someone else. I said I would be there. 2 hours later I get a call that the PT person at 5:30 did not take medicare. Apparently they only had 2 people who do the initial evaluation. She said that Andrew the man I didn't want would call me and see if what could be done. I politely refused and said I would go somewhere else. I am a 70year old women in pain and felt very disrespected. I was told that he was very busy and that was why he was late. If he had least came out and told me that he was running late, I would have waited. It is all about respect. It is common curtsey. I advise that in the future this company should counsel the people that work there to be aware of when and what time their clients are due in, and make contact with them if they are running late.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Santa Ynez Cottage Hospital…read more Before going to the hospital, I specifically called and asked whether my insurance was accepted and whether I would have to pay anything out of pocket. I was clearly told that my insurance would cover the visit. I actually made my decision to go there based on that information, because another facility had told me that I would have to pay out of pocket. When I arrived, I asked again at check-in whether my insurance covered the visit, and I was again told that it did. Before leaving, I also specifically confirmed this once more. At no point was I informed that, despite the insurance being accepted, I could still receive a very large additional bill. Today I received a bill for $1,333. When I contacted customer service, I was told that the total charge for the visit was around $2,000. This was a very basic visit for a sore throat. I had a throat swab and a COVID test, and did not receive any significant treatment or procedure. I understand that medical care in the U.S. can be expensive, and I understand that insurance does not necessarily mean everything is free. However, there is a huge difference between being told multiple times that your insurance covers the visit and being properly informed that you may still be responsible for $1,333. As someone who is relatively new to the U.S. healthcare system, I relied on the information your staff gave me. If I had been told beforehand that I could receive a bill of this size, I would have made a completely different decision about where to seek care. A $1,333 bill for a visit that essentially consisted of someone examining my throat, performing a throat swab, and doing a COVID test is an outrageous amount of money. It is simply not a reasonable or realistic cost for many people to afford, especially when patients are already dealing with the high cost of healthcare. The price is extremely difficult to justify for the services I received, and the fact that I was not informed beforehand that I could be responsible for such a large amount makes this experience even more frustrating. I sincerely hope the hospital reviews how financial responsibility is communicated to patients, because people deserve to know what they may actually be charged before agreeing to receive care.

I was fortunate to only have a short stay at 90 days. They have long term patients which seem to love it here too. The food has a little to desire. But I have been told they are working on it. You can tell when the food is prepared here it is very good. The good thing is your family can bring your food in as long as your diet permits. With today's door dash and grub hub.
