Over the past couple of years I have had much physical therapy. I've participated in programs at Cottage rehab and several of them in Lompoc as well as in-home healthcare. Many of them the quality of care was mediocre. At advance performance, you get very individualized care and an office experience that is not rushed. All others I've been to how I have felt rushed to hurry so the staff could move onto the next person, but not here. The equipment is top, environment is, productively peaceful. I highly recommend them for whatever physical therapy needs you may have. read more

I've always had a good experience with the therapists here. They hire dedicated, knowledgeable and caring people to help with therapy. I love that I sometimes have therapy with them in the therapy pool at the aquatics center. The office staff has a lot to deal with, but they somehow manage to stay professional and keep any judgements they may have to themselves. I've never been made to feel bad for having to cancel appointments due to illness and they have been more than happy to reschedule me, and even put me on waiting lists for preferred times. read more

I just completed 12 sessions of PT and I want to say how wonderful the staff are at Advanced Physical Therapy. I was in a lot of pain with my hip and was diagnosed with tendonosis and was referred to Advanced Performance. Lucky for me I was in the capable hands of John who gave me a lot of information, very sound advice, created an exercise plan and gave me encouragement. John is an excellent therapist and I highly recommend him. I am very much improved and can walk without pain now. read more

After the first visit I was not sure there was any help for me because of my other health problems, Multiple Sclerosis and more! I have mixed feelings. I thought the owner, Caleb, did a great job of diagnosing and giving exercises that have helped. But now when I come in, he hardly even talks to me. His staff does all of the setup and works on the exercises with me. I see him working with other people who come in, but not me. Sometimes I think I ought to be getting more personalized treatment or some kind of cross-friction massage or some kind of hands-on therapy that the other reviewer referred to. I guess I think I'm paying to get treatment from a PT, not his assistant, and that he should be checking in with me every appointment and writing some progress notes or asking me some questions about how things are progressing. The exercises themselves have been really helpful - or at least the ones i could actually do. Other people give him glowing reviews. I'm not criticizing his knowledge. Also, I experienced delays getting an initial appointment and even getting more appointments once established. They book up fast - and that's not necessarily a good thing. After reviewing my records from this facility, I feel uncomfortable with the kinds of mean things written about me that I was uncooperative when I asked for modifications because I had other pain in other body parts that weren't going to be treated. I felt like I was trying my best to improve and was doing exercises at home because I couldn't even get in there half the time. PT was often extremely painful for me. I cancelled a few session because I needed more time to recover. If I needed cuing to get things done right, it's because I was having trouble doing things, not because I was unwilling. I feel like crying now. Just dropped a star. He may be knowledgeable, but he did such a great job of saying negative things about me that my insurance company, which was covering everything, denied things because he convinced then that it wasn't medically necessary. Went to Advanced Performance Physical Therapy, since it was strongly suggested by Dr. Zinni, due to a severely torn tendon in my ankle. The excellent and professional treatment by Caleb and his staff, Wendy and Sochi was above reproach. Even the receptionists Niki and Terri were very helpful in setting my future appointments and reminding me with a phone call when I was late or forgot. I just got released after multiple visits for a shoulder that locked up badly. My visits weren't always enjoyable as I was in a fair amount of discomfort early on. But a progressive approach and excellent care of not only Caleb but his assistants Wendy ,Amanda & Sochi got the shoulder back to functionality and I couldn't be happier with the results.
