She is young and personable and always willing to offer great advice on a plethora of topics. The office is clean always has water and snacks which is nice. My only issue is just be sure the billing dept and your insurance are working well together to avoid any crazy fees. I recommend STA!

My husband is diagnosed with BPD and we are having difficulty communicating. The first session she couldn't handle my husband and said that she won't be able to help us and would refer us to another therapist who's better equipped to help us. I didn't mind that, but then by the end of the session she said she would continue as our therapist but we will start doing individual sessions with her then as a couple. I saw her individually for like 3 or 4 times and the same for my husband. We were supposed to have a couples session but I asked her earlier if we can do it on separate devices so I am more comfortable. She said she'll look into it, she didn't get back to me until I texted her the day of the session and she said that she wasn't able to make it happen. I was out of the house and we couldn't have the couples session which upset my husband greatly. The administration refused using google meet. They are currently using Doxy which only allows one device which I find very illogical. I ended up having the session alone, she mentioned that she was leaving the group but we still had at least 3 months and that before she leaves she was going to refer us to another therapist. My husband was so upset that day, he sent her an angry email. I texted her next week on the day of our session, if we were going to have a couples session or an individual one . She responded by telling me to call the office to reschedule with another therapist because she's leaving, even though she told me a week before that we still have time before referring us. I called the office and they told me that the therapist that we were working with is the one who should refer us to the other therapist and they will reach back to me. I texted the therapist asking her if she referred us, I haven't heard back from her nor the office. In addition I tried to call to schedule an appointment with a therapist for myself and till now I heard nothing. Very unprofessional and no follow through whatsoever!

He needed a higher level of care, but this was not available due to his age, so the hospitals (yes, multiple)recommended increased home services and an outside psychiatrist. He had been hospitalized five times for suicide attempts, and at discharge, no one could find an availability for a partial care placement. People told me that Dr. Berberian was wonderful and that he would be able to help me. I heard he was amazing. Dr. Berberian could see that my son was very oppositional and had a lot of displaced anger. He also recommended a higher level of care. This partial care program that he recommended did not accept children of my son's age. What was really disgraceful was that he discharged him immediately with just a thirty-day refill of his medications. He completely dismissed him and kicked him out of his practice, and he is only eight years old, with nowhere to go. He left me hanging with no services in place and only thirty days to find something, or he would crash with no medication. He did not inform me that he was being discharged immediately; instead, he emailed a letter after our phone appointment, discussing a change in medications. He said he would send his file wherever I needed to with my authorization, but it did not include instructions on how to obtain his file to bring it somewhere else. I have been on waiting lists all over, including California, to get the appropriate help for my son, and Dr. Berberian only kept him as a patient for approximately two months. He told me that the medication levels should be at a therapeutic level by December, and he discharged him by October. I felt a profound lack of compassion from someone who was highly recommended. My son is a huge challenge, but you don't give up on an eight-year-old. So sad. This is what happens to our children in society: they are completely dismissed. I was surprised that he never spoke to my son, only to me, even when my son was sitting right next to me, and we were in person.

Laura was so supportive and gave us skills to understand one another and look at different perspectives. She is a very skilled mediator and brought us all closer together. We are much happier as a family and as individuals. During Covid and the lockdown, I began to see Laura individually. I was overwhelmed by a life-changing illness that challenged all aspects of life. She helped me organize my mind and my priorities, alleviating my anxiety and depression. Life is now much more manageable. I highly recommend Laura Young. She has helped me and my family get through the tough times. I no longer feel overwhelmed and helpless. I am very grateful for her expertise and kindness.
