A delightful shop located on a prominent corner, with a friendly Proprietor. A distinctive array of treasures brilliantly displayed gallery-style & highlighted by track lighting. I can't say that I've seen any of the items before. read more

Compliments might have been my favorite store on our K'port trip. I was mesmerized by the glassware and lighting, but there's much more. And after looking at their website, I wonder if I didn't miss much of it. Go here, look around, and decide if you*really* want to leave empty handed. read more

A wonderful gallery with beautiful, unusual merchandise not found everywhere. Our first visit we made several purchases (jewelry, home decor), but I think it would be impossible to visit the gallery again without finding, at least, one more item we would want. The window displays are inviting and once inside, it is a wonderland of arts and crafts. We think it is the best gallery in the Kennebunks. Sorry I did not take any photos, but the ones posted with other reviews are representative of this lovely gallery. read more

My wife and I were in this store over the weekend, and we did not actually buy anything. However, the customer service given to us was so above and beyond, that it prompted me to write a positive review of this store. Earlier that day, my wife and I had purchased the same item that was being sold at Compliments Gallery at another gallery about 8 miles down the road in Ogunquit, ME. The item being sold at Compliments Gallery was priced much lower than what we paid for it at the other store. Upon mentioning that to the sales clerk at Compliments Gallery, she quickly apologized for that happening to us and said that the mark up at the other store was incredibly high. The item at Compliments Gallery had some additional touches on it (ribbon and charm ornament) whereas the item that my wife and I bought earlier in the day was sold just as is. The sales clerk at Compliments Gallery gave us FREE OF CHARGE the ribbon and charm that she has used on her item just so that the item we bought at the other store would be complete! Her random act of kindness blew us away and showed us that there are still some good people in the world that focus on the overall customer experience vs just making a sale. My wife and I will NEVER shop at the other store 8 miles away when in Maine, and Compliments Gallery has earned in us customers for life! We will also tell all of our friends and family about this experience and urge them to give Compliments Gallery their business! Thanks again for your kindness! read more
