A real pleasure having South Florida Ducts replace all of our home's old leaky ducts and vents…read more From the fair and transparent pricing (no surprises!), the timely scheduling, the great communication, to the professional, clean, and properly engineered install, it was a great experience for what was a dreaded necessity. We used SFD over the course of 3 years to maintain our two air handlers and condensers. The…read moretechnicians were always on time and courteous and our air conditioners generally ran and performed well. Then the compressor in one of our 9-year-old condensers failed. Two technicians from other companies noticed the condensation bulb in the air handler was removed and said that was a big no-no that could have contributed to the unit failing. (I'm not saying it did since there's no way to know but it was certainly disturbing to hear that). When I asked SFD about this, they they either never noticed it or just missed it and that it wasn't that big of a deal. That was a little disappointing to hear because we paid hundreds of dollars for their bi-annual maintenance plan and they had just inspected the units although this time they sent a less experienced tech. They also gave us conflicting information about whether the other (working) air handler needed to be cleaned or not. I liked these guys a lot and trusted them but ultimately there were too many red flags and so they lost our business.

No one ever mentioned that when we contracted to get new unit. The technician that came first was very nice, but he does not do install. The two men that came out were very nice, but one did not speak English. His son was courteous, and did his best, but father was the one who knows the details. They charged us to dispose of the old unit which should not happen! They get paid for those units to recycle and should NOT charge customers. Now today, in August, the unit is not working properly. I have been on hold OVER FORTY FIVE MINUTES and no one has come on the line to help us out. I guess 24/7 means you can call, but doesn't say you will get an answer! This is ridiculous! For all the money they charged us for the install and unit they should have much better customer service! Please consider anyone else but this company for your A/C UPDATE after I had Sea Coast Air come today. One of my problems is they put 8" duct on 10" Sleeve! Who does that except a crooked company! And I have asked for my extended service money refunded, since they finally called me after three days to include today of only a voice recording! UPDATE- they came to repair our new AC unit. The man was very nice, and determined that the installers had hooked up connection to wrong outlet in junction box! He said was good we didn't blow out AC unit! He fixed the problem and the flex pipe issue. The owner did call me back, to be sure we were good for now. He did get irritated that our name was not listed on St Lucie Co records- NOT my fault, and then hung up on me! If they GIVE you a five year service warranty they should do like our company does at our NC home- call every six months to come out and check as per warranty. Had they done that this problem would not have gotten so heated!

He did a terrific job using both compressed air and a small shop-vac to clean the 17 ft duct to the roof. DD Home Comfort responded immediately. Dean has been attentive & communicative from the start. All this even before we have contracted them. They are competitive on price & seemingly provide value for their services.
