The woman just blow dried my hair( I had already washed it) and yet she charged me 30 euro which I think was too much. The woman did a great job styling the hair of the lady ahead of me. unfortunately, when it came to me, the blow dry was serviceable but not great. I was nevertheless happy to have found the place so close to where I was staying. I think she treats her regular customers better so if you are going to be one, you will be happy.

While she can color anyone's hair, she is especially talented when it comes to blondes. There are so many shades of blonde, and depending on your hair, blondes often turn that unwanted brassy shade. Not with a Carrie, this woman knows what she is doing! When I was going through some stress, and my hair was feeling it (translation, falling out) she boosted my confidence by showing me how to use extensions. At first I vetoed the idea thinking it would be impossible, take too much time and look fake. Wrong on all accounts! Takes five minutes to put in and they look unbelievably realistic. Again, Carrie rocks! On the days Carrie colors and styles my hair, even if I have no plans, I go out by myself. Hair looks way too good to stay home! Carrie's prices are totally reasonable. As a person, she is just delightful. Nice, funny - it's like having your bff do your hair! Recently she moved into a new location, still on NE Broadway, same phone number. New space, same great Carrie!

The salon is tucked inside a larger apartment building at the base of the St. Johns Bridge, and has a warm, inviting atmosphere filled with plants and all the wonderful Aveda scents. I was lucky to have my hair cut by Maya today, a newer addition to the salon, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. I came in wanting a shag cut and brought a few inspiration screenshots. Maya mentioned she specializes in razor shags, and she completely delivered--checking in throughout the process on bang length, layers, and overall shape to make sure it matched my vision. All of this for an amazing price; she's definitely found a new regular!

It's a small place but beautifully kept with warm wood and plants everywhere. Everyone treats each other like family and they all respect your space if you don't feel very talkative. I'm an introvert so getting a haircut is usually anxiety-inducing for me, but it's always made easier with Jules. She's just lovely - she has one of those lights inside her that glows and warms all around her. I have heard very good things about the other stylists there, too, but I mean.. I have to go with the lady who loves Halloween and Star Wars as much as I do. I always leave feeling like a hundred bucks - also about what I spend (every 3-6 months) - and totally worth it. She's the only stylist I've been to that can simply blow-dry my hair straight with a cute curl at the end instead of needing to also use a straightener, so the process takes half the time I was used to before. And my hair stays cute for days. I'm just really happy with her and if she ever moves I will probably have to follow. :)

Not once had I ever rescheduled an appointment. So I'm not quite sure about these false claims the manager is placing under my review to save face. Second of all, I changed my appointment, and it was more than a 48 hour notice and a deposit was taken. I was not aware that you guys were keeping tabs for complimentary services which I would tip $10-15 for. Seems petty to be commenting about a client's services in a response to a review. This salon absolutely has poor management practices. In the phone call I asked to reschedule, that was the moment it should've been clarified my card was about to be charged, rather than suprise charge me, and then wait over half a year to respond to my review. Honestly, prior to my last visit I had a great cuts, the stylist I worked with on my last visit was having a bad day and sharing a story that had her mildly worked up that she got distracted and cut my bangs a little shorter than I would've preferred. All the communication including from this review has lacked punctuality and directness as a business, customers definitely don't come first here.
