We learned communication skills that have proven effective over the last 10 years. We did a couple of follow-up sessions a couple of years after first seeing her and haven't needed her help again. She's good if you are ready to go deep quickly. If you are trying to figure out life questions (like, should we move? Take that job?) she's not so great but if you are having "you just won't listen... I can't seem to get through to you... Why aren't we close anymore? Why aren't we having sex anymore? You drive me nuts ... I don't think you love me anymore..." she'll help you get back to intimacy.

Very awesome at listening without judgement and very encouraging. She indulges me in my offbeat sense of humor which is appreciated. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition about six years ago and although I have a relatively mild case it was definitely on my mind when I was out in the dating world. At his request, I tried to feed him as much info on my complex situation, in the space of the max 30 minutes we had. I asked him to interrupt me whenever he wants and ask me more focused questions, which he did. Sometimes it was hard to hear him (he put me on speaker on his end), and I frequently had to ask him twice what he was mumbling about. He wanted any answer in either black or white, without saying so. When, at some question, I tried to say why in my mind it wasn't either yes or no, he became extremely rude, he practically verbally attacked me and he hung up. And no, I've been always extremely polite, listening, doing my best to pass the info I knew about. I truly regret I did not record our phone conversation, because I would have addressed a complain as well to his professional ethical committee. AVOID AT ANY PRICE!
