Mini golf course
Jahmelia B.

This place is a Megacenter for all things fun. If you are looking for family fun or sunny days or rainy days Compass entertainment has you covered. They have a ropes course, zip line, rock climbing, batting cages, mini golf, movie theater, arcade, and so much more. We took the kids here during spring break and they had an absolute blast. The line to buy game cards can be really long but it's worth it because whatever you wanted to do is on those cards. They also have a restaurant on site that's like a sport bar so you can grab a bite to eat and get back to playing. This facility is located off the side of the road in a neighborhood which kinda through us for a loop when we first arrived. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and look forward to returning.

Fun for people of all ages! Movie theater, restaurant, video games, heights course/zip line, kids 3 story play area, rock climbing wall, mini golf, batting cage,etc...and some awesome go-karts that have a turbo button!

I finally got to go to this facility and I was quite impressed. The food was very good. The movie theater was a nice place to hang out. The seats were very comfortable. There was a problem with getting the movie started and the manager give us a small popcorn and drink while we waited which was nice. The staff was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the complex. If I had more time I will be trying to do more activities. I can't wait to go back.

Twice I've been here and twice the volume of the film was so low I could barely hear it. Not going back for a third.

We recently hosted a birthday party at Flipper McCoy's in Virginia Beach and overall had a really…read morefun and positive experience. The biggest downside was the heat, especially upstairs in the laser tag area. It was uncomfortably hot and could definitely use better ventilation. The party room itself is on the smaller side and felt very cramped (only accommodates 12 bodies comfortably) and was warm too. The arcade noise carries in even with the door closed as the walls don't go up to the ceiling, but noise is expected in an arcade setting. That said, there were a lot of thoughtful touches that really stood out. The party room was decorated well, with detailed under the sea murals on the wall, and the place settings were surprisingly nice with sturdy glowing plastic plates, cups, and neatly arranged silverware that matched the neon and black-light theme. It made it feel more put-together than typical party setups. (Even though I decorated with my own decorations and partyware, as the birthday girl had a particular theme she wanted.)Our party attendant made it a point to check in to empty trash and make sure everything was going smoothly. One of the most appreciated features was that parents could watch the laser tag games from downstairs on the screens, and a few were even allowed to jump in and play with their kids at no extra charge, which was awesome. The kids absolutely loved the variety of arcade games and had a blast. Party pricing and packages were comparable to other venues, with three options to choose from, and we really liked being able to bring our own food and drinks. They were also very accommodating, since there wasn't a party before ours, they let us in early to decorate at no extra cost, and they didn't rush us out at the end, only asking for 30 minutes to reset the room for the next group. That flexibility made a huge difference, especially since we had the largest party package with multiple laser tag rounds plus arcade time, cake, and food. Parking was a bit tricky, but that was expected at the oceanfront (and we were glad it was the off-season). Most importantly, the kids had an amazing time and the birthday girl is already asking to have another party there, which says it all. A FUN venue with great staff and party flexibility, just be prepared for the heat, especially upstairs, the typical arcade noise (even in the party room) and the frustration of VB Oceanfront parking, as there isn't dedicated parking for the venue.

Pretty decent arcade on the boardwalk in terms of games and cleanliness. But pretty pricey. Maybe that is the reason we were the only folks in the arcade. We ended up with enough tickets to get 6 pieces of "penny candy". So I'd say skip the arcade and take your kiddo to the dollar store and let them come out with 5 or 10 dollars worth of stuff. Also we paid $12 to park in the lot behind the arcade. So a costly 15 minute experience.

Tldr- Problematic games…read moreStaff that can't or won't help Expensive We stopped by here off season as it was one of a few arcades open. 3 people in our party bought $20 game cards. My daughter was playing the spinning wheel machine for kids. The most expensive prize is a small piece for 100 tickets between two bigger pieces for 4 tickets. It clearly landed on the 10p ticket part (through some miracle), but the machine registered it as 4. We pointed it out to a staff member who said "there's nothing I can do" and gave us a free spin. Of course she didn't winning the 100 tickets like she should have. In my mind he either should have given us 100 physical tickets or allowed her to play until she won 100. Another person was playing the coin pushing machines. The ticket dispenser kept jamming, to the point where they had to shut down the machine. This meant she lost a ton of her plays. It seems like the staff are trying to do their best with machines that are long past repairs. Instead of putting things out of order they allow them to stsy broken and wait for enough people to complain. Not a great way to run a business unless you're the owner making bank on janky arcade machines. I would advise going to other arcades on thr boardwalk or see if there's better ones nearby.

July was much hotter than June. I will summarize both visits. It is conveniently located on the boardwalk. The place is air conditioned during the summer. This is a nice amusement and arcade area with lots of choices including Skee ball ticketed games, pinballs, claw machines, shoot em up games, air hockey, and more. On my first visit I paid $20 for their amusement card with extra points. My family used up my $20 game card so they purchased a second game card for another $20. Expect to spend $20-$40 here depending upon the size of your family. One of the machines did not function properly. A maintenance man was walking the floor so he fixed their machine. The tickets are redeemed for knick knacks and stuffies. My family of six including two children visited here in July. We returned here for a second time of amusement. It was very hot so we enjoyed the air conditioning. We enjoyed our second visit. We agreed we will continue to return here for more family amusement.
