The more willing to work with you on home loans out of loans and any loan in general because they know you personally you're not a number with them. I've been with this Credit Union my whole life. And I've never been a part of any other banking institution but this place. The people there at work there as long as I can remember. This place even offers a Christmas savings program where you can take a percentage out of each paycheck or your account to save towards Christmas time so you have extra money to spend when you don't even have to see your money go and it will be there. A young man who states he is the only notary at this location assists us. I gave him my driver's license and my mother's ID, along with the document. He looks at my mother and asks her if she knows what this document is? My mother is elderly, she knows what it is for but at times she is forgetful, That is the main reason I am filing the quit claim deed so no one can swindle her out of her home, plus I can speak on her behalf with the mortgage company, not that it is any of his business. He stated that if he notarized the document I could take my mother's home from her, I told him because she still has a mortgage, the mortgage company has a first-place lien. He called both the Macomb County Register of Deeds, and Chase Mortgage and I could tell they told him the same information, I let him know I work for a mortgage company. He stated he was not comfortable notarizing the document and advised that I go to my bank which is Huntington. I went to Huntington and immediately got the document notarized. I told the notary what happened she was appalled. She stated the purpose of a notary is to witness the signatures and notarize the document if there is proper id to make the right people are signing. My mother and I both had the proper Identification not sure why I was treated with mistrust as if I was out to take from my mother. I normally do not write reviews that are negative, but this young man needs to be informed, I had the day off to take care of my mother's business and he wasted a whole hour stalling because he was uninformed. Sandra H. stayed after closing time on a Saturday afternoon to make sure everything was handled properly. Her colleague, Andy, was also immediately available and completely helpful when I had follow up concerns. I can't say how much this meant to me. This branch is small and unassuming, but mighty on customer satisfaction. I have never found it too crowded or failed to find parking. The staff is always friendly and patient. I will go out of my way to use this branch when I need to do banking at a FifthThird location.

My wife died, this was for my 15 year old twins. All CC open with a phone call. Would not RE- notorize a life insurance policy. The teller would not even talk to the original notary about the issue! Told me my MM would cover checks, it did not. Removed 50K she could care less. Removing another 50K when i button up everything with Genysis. 6.75% on Genesis checking, printed new debit card and checks in the office. Had no problem opening debit limit with a phone call. Couldn't be happier. Oh CFCU never sent promised checks till a month later. GENYSIS had some temporary checks immediately. Go to where you are treated best. The sarcastic attitude was not appreciated by one woman.

I found a home and sold my home within a few weeks of finding a home. This is not at all surprising giving the shortage of homes , etc since 2021 ( Covid) . it was the mortgage bankers idea to pay off 7600 in credit card debt to lower my debt to income ratio. These incompetent losers sent me a letter 6 months later saying that my loan closed so fast they did not have time to include the payments they made to my credit cards. NOW! they send me a letter want all the money upfront within ten days. With all the technology in place, I'm going to assume they have done a few of these loan types in their very large banking history. They use the most lame excuse an institution can use and blame the sale of my house sold too quickly. DO NOT TRUST THEM. THERE ARE MANY OTHER INSTITUTIONS. I started banking here at the advise of a friend who pretty much told me they have the LOWEST fees. Drawbacks: (1) They are ONLY located in SOME parts (Eastern part) of Macomb Countyand (2) They are only open late on Fridays. That's the purpose is to train every employee whether you're in-state or out-of-state to do what corporate does and follows their rules. This is what made me decline being a member unfortunately my employer is the one who has the business account here and pays me with the check from Comerica Bank so when I can't make it to my credit union Which is far from my work I have to go to Comerica Bank because that's where my checks are from and they charged me $10 to cash the check that is from the exact same bank that wrote the check!!! It makes no sense to me I can go to the party store and cash it. For .60¢ wow They really screwed me over I see how they make money.
