Located in Lange Park within Rosemont's gated community, this is the most fun outdoor splash pad in…read morethe area as far as I'm concerned! Just a week after our expensive outing to Park Ridge's Centennial Park, this place is a lot more fun for a lot less. First off, there's a multitude of water nozzles, fountains and other creative fun things for kids of all ages or for silly grownups like myself. There's the always popular fill-n-tilt buckets, a run-through "car wash", a sprinkler-arrayed rainbow, a fire hydrant, railroad crossing, and a pair of pivoting long-range water guns with animal heads. We came on the day of the town's annual free picnic, so it was open for everyone. However, on a regular day it costs $4 for residents and $6 for non-residents. However, parents or guardians of the kids get in free, so the $20 overpriced trip to Centennial costs only $12 here, or only $8 if our friend from town comes with us. Not all the fountains are on at the same time. Every few minutes, different ones go on while others turn off. Kids gather around certain favorite ones and wait for them to fire up. The play area is made of a high-traction, padded surface that resembles pressed loops of rubber. A little rough on the feet but I saw nobody slipping and falling (or falling unintentionally). The Stunt Baby had so much fun that he lay down on a towel, lips blue and chattering from the chilly water. Minutes later he was right back in the thick of the action again. My older son "won the bucket game" 11 times - taking a direct hit with the water bucket each of those times. In all, it's a great place to have a safe and fun afternoon. Check out the pictures.

There is a VERY tasty Flash Taco stand here offering tacos ($5), burritos, nachos, and quesadillas ($14 for the supreme with meat). Cold drinks and Mexican paletas and ice cream bars ($5) also available! The pools are clean and well life guarded. There is a 15 minute safety break on the :45 of every hour, where anyone under 18 needs to get out of the pool. Two diving boards, one steep water slide, splash area for kids, lazy river, couple of lap lanes, and lily pad obstacle course over 4' water can all be found here. Lily pads were a hit with my kids last year, but now that they're a year older, stronger swimmers, and taller, they're not as challenging. Still fun though. Variety of aquatic amenities and the Flash Taco keeps us returning here! A Morton Grove gem!

My son was able to go on the lily pads for a 100thx ..he had so much fun! . Theres a closer pool from us (centennial park)but they ddnt allow him to go on the lily pads because they dont allow kids with floaties..also they charge my 3 year old (resident) $9‍.. but in Oriole $0.. The coordinator is a poor communicator who took over from the initially hired coordinator. Neither or them knew nothing of the pool party room's equipment (table size, number or tables, quantity that was available for use, chairs..). The mom and daughter were arguing about personal stuff while we were trying to set up the food and drinks. We weren't asked how we wanted the tables set up or how many chairs we wanted. They used blue table covers that were in one of the cupboards. Would have been nice to know we didnt need to buy any. We weren't asked about how we wanted to time the party. We told them how we wanted the party to move. We were ignored. We told them to help themselves to the food and drinks during the party. They did. But during the clean up. They LITERALLY helped themselves to the remaining sodas. For themselves. We invited the life guards to come in for pizza and the water and soda Those kids were more polite then the coordinator. So we took a pizza and some loose soda cans that weren't boxed up by our party helpers and walked them to the office for theifeguards. Appalling. Maybe next party will be at a Fieldhouse. We can set up and clean up ourselves and put that extra money into food and drinks for our invitees instead.
