I have been going to Flick for two years to do water aerobics. This location has 5 pools. Excellent for smaller kids and even better for the teens. Staff is always gracious and friendly. Lots of lifeguards around each pool. Busy early in the morning when the day campers arrive. I would recommend arriving around 1pm. They have an onsite cafe that serves food for a cost. The summer goes by fast. Enjoy this location as much as you can. read more

What a phenomenal pool. Was there on a Thursday and there was a DJ and free Zumba classes. The park district here has a lot of things going on for adults and children. The facility has two diving boards, two drop slides, two regular slides, and four separate pools. There's a kiddy pool, kids area, and lap pool, and diving area. This is one step down from a water park. This place also has a concession area and a depressing grilling area. It can host parties as well. I was very impressed by this pool. Very family friendly and very organized!!! Definitely going to come back and I recommend coming here! read more

I think we found the place we'll keep coming back to this summer and beyond. Simply the most unbelievable deal for an outdoor pool & water park in our area! We were looking online for another water park to try and came across this place. Now get this. Come here after 6 PM on any day, resident of Glenview or not, and admission is only $3 per person or child! They're open till 9 PM, so after 2 hours your kids will be too tired anyway. If they're a little stronger, they'll play till it's time to close up the place. Flick Pool has it all: 2 big water slides, diving pool, lap pool, a real shallow little kids' area, a deeper water play area that goes up to 4 feet and has an aquatic playground. There's even a water gun target shooting area. The dressing areas are clean, there's even two family changing areas, which is great if you got small kids who need help. There's a nice restaurant on premises too. Not just the usual fast food either. They were grilling burgers when we got there, and if I hadn't eaten dinner already, I'd easily have gone for one of their great burgers. The restaurant closes at 7 PM though. So, what did my kids like the most? It had to be the target shooting area. It works like this: you press a button and two water guns mounted on posts begin to spray. Your objective is to hit targets and fill a bucket with water from the gun. Of course, the kids opted to spray us instead a good part of the time. When a round of target shooting ends, the "winner" gets doused with an overhead shower. If it's close or a tie, both gunners get wet. The lap pool goes up to 5 feet deep and it's definitely the warmest of all the pools at the park. All around the pool, there's plenty of flotation jackets for kids. Not for a fee like at some places, but free to put on and wear in the water. Life guards are plentiful and attentive. Two water slides are not too steep and they're both fun, but you have to be 48" to go on them. In all, a splendid experience! I think we'll make this a routine for the summer, as the price of going here will be less than any pool pass even in our home town of Park Ridge. And after 6 PM, it wasn't crowded like during the usual peak afternoon hours at most pools on a hot day. And one last tip for parents. If you're staying tillt he end, bring along pajamas. Go to the family changing room, give the kids a shower right there and get them dressed in their jammies, all ready for bed and call it a night. They'll be sleeping real good.... read more

My son and I love swimming and I think he gets his adventurous spirit from me because he wants to visit as many different pools as we can this summer. So even though this pool is about 30 minutes from us, when we got the text from some school friends inviting us out, he gave a resounding YES! I love that there are 4 different pool areas for patrons. There is the toddler water spray area, the zero depth entry with interactive water spray structure for young school age kids, the slides and diving board pool for junior high and above (including adults) and the adults only lap pool. Since our kids are in the 6-7 age range, we stayed in the zero depth entry pool. And even with 3 summer camps rotating through, it never got super crowded. There were more than enough lounge chairs for everyone in this area and there were 5 lifeguards, including one walking through the pool as well. The lifeguards were nice but also serious when they had to be. My son swims now, but I felt secure knowing they were really doing their job well. We had a late lunch and there is a snack bar and grill--hamburgers, pizza, fries, ice cream, sno cones, pretzels--all great snacks for a day in the sun. The whole place seemed pretty clean. The showers in the family locker room were nice with lots of hot water--great surprise! Admission for non-residents is a little pricey ($15), but it's cheaper after 6. It's probably more crowded on weekends, but we spent a fun few hours here today and it was totally worth it. read more

We haven't been back since 2011, and I am kicking myself for forgetting how amazing this aquatic center is. It is only $12 for non-residents and $7 after 6pm. It is never overly crowded and the people that frequent this pool are respectful and considerate. They have fenced-in kiddie pool with frog slide, zero-depth play pool with a huge tropical garden play structure, 2 giant water slides, two drop slides and a three meter and one meter diving board. They also have a 25-yard, eight-lane lap/activity pool reserved for adults! I also like the fact that their are plenty of safety vests in an assortment of sizes. Their concession stand rocks! They will grill your burgers and hotdogs to order. It is definitely worth the drive! read more

We had a fun visit to this pool. Only downside is you have to be 48 inches tall to do the slides. My 42 inch tall kid was not happy. We went to another area pool yesterday and their bigger higher slide was 42 or more inches. Seems a little overly conservative that my son can jump off a 10 ft high dive at Flick pool but not ride a slide. read more

Love this pool! It's always clean and not super crowded. There are different sections you can visit: kids pool, tot pool, older kids/adult pool. There are also 4 slides and 2 diving boards. The past couple of weeks, they have been playing 90's alternative/rock music,but then they'll throw in some Shakira and pop music in there. read more

My husband and I visited Flick pool with our 3.5 year old and 14 month old daughters, on a weekday evening. The great thing is that it was perfectly priced @ $4/pp (resident rate), because it was after 6pm. Also any child under 2 is free. The first thing that I noticed was how large the pool facilities were. There are several areas to choose from, which is a plus especially if you have small children. They had 2 areas specifically for toddlers and small children, both had zero depth areas. There was an area with 2 slides and a diving board. Then there was a water gun shooting area. And finally a more traditional pool with a lap area. Overall the pool seemed well-maintained, and there were several lifeguards in each area. This made me feel at ease especially since we have small children. There is a concession stand and dining area. One thing to note is that although the pool is opened until 9 pm. The concession stand is only opened until 7 pm, so plan accordingly. I did not check out the locker room facilities. But I did notice 2 family changing rooms equipped with a shower and bathroom. Flick pool is definitely family friendly and great find in the Glenview area. read more

I used to go to this pool alot when I still lived there. They have a regular pool with some toys for kids, a lap pool, diving boards, and 4 slides. The loungers are taken kinda fast, but they have a nice grass area if it is. Everyone there is nice, and they have some good food. read more

Good pool, not my absolute favorite from other locations, but it's got all the standard features most others have. They do have a neat contraption for kids where you shoot water into a thing above, but I haven't seen that thing work in years. It's nice that it has a walk path around the park itself too. read more

My daughter and I had a great time here. I think it might be a little better for older kids, my daughter is four. She was not big enough for any of the water slides but she had a good time. The food prices were excellent too. It almost makes me want to move to the suburbs. read more

Too many screaming kids. The adult lap pool is constantly filled with them when there are three other pools they can be hanging out in. No peace and quiet.
