Literal hell on earth. I will never be the same after that place. The room is disgusting. The chairs are disgusting. The bathroom and shower are filthy. The food I was handed was EXPIRED. They need a better system of handling things there. It's chaos and I'm not exaggerating when I say HELL on earth. The system is seriously broken. read more

the place is horrible... I just was discharged a few hours ago. Half the staff is degenerates ex felons who couldn't help themselves now they have jobs and all the do is act like they are still in prison. The staff of so called "Doctors " or what they call Providers are act illegals that barely speak English and never seem to listen to the patients on mostly vid calls. Trust and believe when I say mostly ALL of em are from Africa .. it's like I guess they don't think Americans need jobs . Feminism is so thick in the air you can cut it with a knife. They have illegals that are obviously illegal yet Taxpayers are paying thousands for their treatment instead of calling ICE . Im just over it and I will NEVER go to them for help again. read more

Communication! My niece has been there for 6 days as of July 10, 2025. Her mother has been calling and messaging and no one has reached out to return her calls. Also, why are they sitting and sleeping in one big communal room , in recliners not even allowed to sleep in a bed.with the lights on all night? To wear them down? And we thought after the 72 hour hold she would be transferred to a hospital. Now the intake center said they were waiting for a bed. This all makes no sense to me. Kathleen C. read more

I haven't ever been subjected to this level of psychological torture. Came in with no psychiatric disorders and left a changed person. I wouldn't wish this level of treatment on my worst enemy. Uncomfortable recliners to sit in one giant room with 59 other identical recliners; the AC cranked as low as it can go with threads they give you that they call a blanket. And don't get me started with "the providers" or better said the actual joke of what doctors actually are. A five minute meeting with one once every 20-30 hours and somehow they have a complete diagnosis of you within 5 minutes. Asked to call family to verify credibility of what I said. My mom confirmed with me that she was coerced through the phone and the doctor acted as if they were on my side. My mother stated that I hadn't had any behavioral issues since 2012 and 2016, 14 and 10 years respectively. Well since she told them that they used it against me and insisted that I have these recurring episodes and that they were going to continue my petition and will not be releasing me until after at least a 72 hour hold--which the 72 hour hold immediately pauses on non-business days. I've been to prison and I would rather stay 6 months in prison that to have to be subjected to the psychological torture of the brightest lights and loudest room possible. They brought out three inedible meals a day that truly rocked my nose to the point that every time meals were handed out, that I immediately threw up. This place is a horrible company that should absolutely be investigated, exposed, and condemned--then used as the prime example of every single part of the way to make a patients life a living hell. If you weren't suicidal before coming here, I 100% assure that you will be when you leave. Please for the love of god, I hope that this review reaches somebody who was about to send a loved one here and realize that it will without a doubt have everlasting negative effects and will certainly make anyone not remotely comfortable reaching out in a mental health crisis. I hope this place crashes and burns some day. read more

My gf was there and got PTSD. Don't send anyone there. It's inhumane. They don't give medication to anyone coming off of substances and someone had a seizure while she was there. They tried their best to keep her there as long as they could and she sat in a chair the entire time. read more

Everything!!! Customer/client service is horrible!!! Everything is "I'm too busy" or "get with me tomorrow". Case managers really need to learn how to treat people and show more compassion! read more

I was in this place for over 6 months and not 1 employee helped me. The rooms are black mold infested and every time I said something it was just ignored. The majority of the employees here are supposedly X meth heads but they run around sucking on their meth infused vape pens as if no one knows. Piss-poor management. I have been out of the facility almost 2 weeks and still having respiratory issues coughing up black mold. Oh the bathtub in my room was painted over black mold and the paint was peeling off revealing the back mold underneath. Black mold everywhere. read more

Horrible place they did nothing for my son ! He is SMI and went off his injections and went into Crisis. I had to Petition him . He was released from Community Bridges instead of being sent to Valleywise Hospital to get treatment !! Do not send your loved one's there !!! read more

A horrible facility to put it mildly! I was admitted in January of this year, and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. The hospital in Phoenix I was staying at had a representative for CBI come in and make this recommendation for Detox. Well, she gave it a glowing review when in reality she probably works on commission for giving it such a disingenuous recommendation. I have been to other Detox facilities, so coming in, this was about on Par as far as initial impressions. However, the building was dated and the after looking at the bathrooms, struck me as a converted prison. Everything was freezing cold including the showers, to be fair many facilities are intentially cold due to Patients high body temperature and it supposedly cuts down on germs. Beds were just as bad, as an old Army cot would have been more comfortable with a pillow about 2" thick and a single sheet about as soft as a burlap sack. You have three roomates per room and I was fortunate enough to get a guy who snored so loud it could be measured on seismograph from Mars! Needless to say I couldn't sleep even with earplugs in and numerous sleep meds. Let it be known, ths was NOT the major problem with CBI. The problem I had was with the care. The only interraction I had with a Doctor was in a Zoom type meeting on a laptop, no in Person one on one. They wanted to discharge me after 6 or 7 days, for which I knew I wasn;t ready and told them that as I still had Tremors and wasn't thinking clearly. If the Doctor had met with me in person they could have seen that! They knew I was prone to seizures and didn't taper me off Ativan properly before discharging me, which is a huge No-No. I let it be known I needed more time as well as more time time on Ativan but they wouldn't listen and discharged me anyhow. Less than twelve hours later I was waiting in line to get into a rehab facility and my vision would randomly become foggy and my hearing was super acute. I knew I was on my way to having a seizure, so I stepped out of line at the rehab facility and drove 10 minutes to the closest Emergncy room, which was the scariest ten minutes of my life! I made it to the waiting room and about 45 minutes later I had a seizure in the waiting room. Don't remeber much else except waking up in a hospital bed. Sorry about the long review but I had to bring context and acurrately convey my point. CBI is HORRIBLE, They are like a conveyor belt, they take the state health insurance (AHCCCS) probably bill 10's of thousands of dollars, per patient and discharge them with out regards to their health cause they got someone else coming in who wants a bed. The level of care is horrendous and would almost be considered medical malpractice. There is more to the story, including some very rude staff, but hopefully you get my point! Don't go here please. read more

CBI has helped so many people. Whether you are looking for psych services, detox, outpatient, they have it all.

CBI tends to hire very uncompassionate individuals. They are very controlling and rude to the community they are supposed to be serving. In the respite center they treat their "Guests", as they call them, like criminals. Not only are they rude, obnoxious and uncaring, they are very intelligent as well. They use surface cleaner as air freshener, which is hazardous to domestic animals. I have told them time and time again it's surface cleaner. This Clorox disinfecting spray got into my dog's eyes and lungs, poisoning him, and leading to an early death. It got into my lungs as well, causing respiratory illness where my lungs kept filling up with liquids, making it impossible to breath. This organization does little good for the community, yet causes harm. I think they should be shut down. Plus they hire felons and drug addicts. read more

If I could give zero Stars I would. An organization that's supposed to be to help the people when all they do is exchange one addiction for another. A patient can arrive as early as 3:00 a.m. stand in line and not be finished until 6:30. It's impossible for them to have a job as they are unreliable due to the unorganization of this place. Talk about counseling? The counselors have a fifth grade education and absolutely no counseling training. They are there to simply dose out a liquid. Not help the individual. A patient can finally reach the qualification for weekly take homes and due to their unorganization it be more than a month and a half before it even happens! How weird because if they were organized that would have been one less patient standing in the line of hundreds every single morning before the roosters even get up. The agony caused by the disorganization of this place not only to the patient but to those caregivers who have to transport them and sit in a car for more than two and a half hours this is ridiculous. This place is a joke and needs to be shut down! read more

This place is a gross facility. The people don't really care about the patients. My daughter was there. One of the counselors? called me to tell me she was there. I asked how she got there, he said, oh I don't know I don't have her chart in front of me. OK, so call me back when you have her chart. He never did call me back. Before we hung up I he said he was going to give her a prescription for some meds and send her on her way. I said, wait a minute, she needs treatment, she needs to stay there and get well. He said, Oh, she needs treatment huh? Isn't that what community bridges is? A treatment center. My daughter did not get any meds. Why would this man lie to me? They were going to get her transportation back to the state she lived in. Community Bridges works with another company that provides bus tickets to their patients. So, my daughter gets a bus ticket, they are supposed to transport her to a bus station that is over 5 miles away. Somebody picks her up and drops her off in the heart of a homeless community. It is 119 degrees outside and they expect her to walk with a suitcase 5 miles away? So my daughter finally gets home 3 days later and she tells me the place is absolutely disgusting, she thought she would go and the place would be nice and she could get some rest and be comfortable. Not so much. I have an appointment next week with our family lawyer, I can feel a law suit coming on. read more

This place is the very reason people with mental health issues don't seek help. got locked up at community bridges after telling a doctor i felt suicidal. i wanted help and was treated like I was insane, stupid, and a criminal and because I honest. they did not help at all. people wonder why those who are sick don't ask for help. this place is a fail on every level. personally, my freedom and dignity were stripped from me. I was locked in this room under bright 24 hour a day lights for 11 days. NO SLEEP. we treated war criminals better. seriously. I will never ever reach out for professional help again. i'd rather die than go back to this living nightmare. and oh yeah i'm a veteran who spent 18 months in iraq. the worst of iraq is a good day at this place. read more

I worked there for almost a year (I was fired two weeks before my year mark) while I was there the medical record department went through 4 supervisors. The final supervisor is who fired me because of my weight!! She was nice to me until she met me in person and that is when the bullying and harassment started. I talked to HR about how I wanted to file a grievance because of how I was being treated. Well after two months of back and forth with HR I was terminated for "poor performance". That place is an absolute joke and they treat their employees TERRIBLE. They're constantly understaffed and make one person do the work of 7, not to mention they talk terrible about everyone and act like they don't. If you have to work under Julie Soto or Barb Lang beware. They're backstabbing, lying, terrible people who will take you out to save their own asses. True SNAKES in the grass. read more

This is a terrible horrible place. I was employed by Community Bridges for 8 months and watched them be unethical and treat their patients and employees horribly. When I gave notice, as thankfully I got another job, they terminated me and watched me pack up my desk as if I was a criminal. I had never be written up, nor had in disciplinary actions against me, so I could not understand why. A few days after my termination, I was informed by HR that I had told other employees I was taking people with me. I never said this nor was I given an opportunity to say that I did not I was just terminated with no explanation. I made the decision to leave community bridges for their unethical way of hiring people who were not experienced and educated. They promoted people who were addicts in recovery over qualified people just because they were addicts in recovery. Qualified people come in all forms and you should not be promoted just because your an addict in recovery. You should be promoted because you know your job well, your qualified and will make a good manger. I was told my manager was making very bad mistakes and accusing employees of wrong doing without gather the facts because she was "a new supervisor" and "rough around the edges" and they were working with her. So they believe other employees should suffer and get written up for things they didn't do because she acts before she thinks. They should be working with her and grooming those skills before promoting her to a position of supervising people. I would never recommend anybody work there. read more

(I served my time in CBI Holbrook) If you are considering getting help with your addiction that's awesome but from experience with CBI and another company, Seek other options... CBI's treatment of clients is horrible. Talk down to you and can't tell you how many times I've herd them tell people "doors not locked you can leave anytime" which many people did even though their stay was court ordered, decides jail was better. Felt like I was in jail the whole time, 3 terrible meals, constantly yelling at everyone about the arbitrary rules unrelated to substance abuse, understaffed so the walks to get out of the single room you trapped in all day with 17 other guys is rare. Changed my meds to a lower dose without consulting me which made it so I had to go a half a day without until they had time to go to the pharmacy to pick up my lower mg ones. Lied to my case worker when I asked for a transfer stating we did go on daily walks haha seems dumb but after 7 one hour "groups" 7 days a week (yes even Sunday cause they can only bill Access for group times) everyone starts to go crazy. Food was terrible 3 bad meals no choices and if your diabetic no replacement they just take away what you can't have. I get it it's a 501c non profit meaning you don't have to disclose itemized receipts so the less you spend on good food and good employees the more you can take to the bank but make it only for court ordered people, I went voluntarily to actually get help and was repeatedly told by staff "Just suck it up for X more days and your home free!" Wasn't trying to go to impress anyone I wanted help which I was not receiving there. Thank god I did my due diligence and found a treatment center that did provide me the help I needed. Trust me when I say do yours as well cause most these reviews are BS. read more
