I have heard a lot of reasons not to give blood..."I don't have the time"..."I don't have good…read moreveins"..."don't like needles"...etc. The blood centers of south florida cancels all those reason. You can show up whenever you like or make an appointment, either way the most time I have ever seen it take for whole blood is a half hour. Donating whole blood is simple, one needle to a bag, bag fills you are gone. Normally once they stick you it is only 10 minutes. After you give whole blood it is about 2 months before you can give blood again. As far as veins and needles go, all these people do is find veins...and insert needles. All days veins and needles. I have spent weeks in the hosiptal due to my own stupidity when I was younger I was pretty much a pin cushin, I know what it feels like to get a bad stick; not once have I ever gotten a bad one from them. The people there are nice and helpful and they have locations all over south florida. The website is www.cbcsf.org find the location near you, and I hope to see lots of reviews about the blood centers of south florida.

Things I like: 1. Great techs (I've had mammograms, breast ultrasounds, & pelvic ultrasounds) 2. Easy to get an appointment 3. Ample parking 4. Professional & courteous front desk 5. Pretty punctual with appointment times The only thing I wish were different is the paper robe they give you for breast imaging. They rip so easily. I had that happen the 1st time I went here while I was walking into the room. I was struggling to stay covered. Because of this, I took my huge pashmina for my 2nd visit. That is my pro tip for anyone who's having breast imaging done.

I want to warn anyone considering this facility about my experience. Back in July, I was quoted…read more$200 for an MRI after they verified with my insurance. When I arrived for the appointment, I was only charged $20 upfront. Weeks later, I suddenly received a bill for $374. When I called to dispute this charge, I was told it was my deductible--even though this was never explained to me at the time and contradicted the original quote. The actual MRI experience was terrible. The staff attempted to insert the IV for contrast 10+ times, leaving me bruised and in pain. I was chastised for having "bad veins" rather than being treated with professionalism or care. I have photographic proof of the excessive needle marks I endured during this visit. When I escalated my concerns, I spoke directly with the CEO, Robert Diaz. Instead of addressing the clear lack of training and miscommunication from his staff, he was entirely unhelpful. Rather than accepting responsibility, he treated me as if I were at fault and made me feel like I was the problem for questioning their billing practices and poor care. This facility not only engages in misleading billing practices but also fails to provide compassionate, professional medical care. Patients deserve honesty, respect, and competent treatment--none of which I received here. I strongly recommend avoiding Advanced Health Imaging. I will be pursuing further action through insurance and the appropriate regulatory agencies.

What sort of response is that?! I clearly know where I live and the first language is English not Spanish. The location is very convenient, right next to the Metrorail station, and if you're driving, they validate your parking so it's free. There's also valet parking available, which makes getting in and out very easy. Check-in is quick and simple thanks to automated kiosks that capture all your information, and accessing your medical records is straightforward, especially helpful when you're checking in on your own or managing follow-ups. The doctors are highly specialized and clearly know their fields, which makes it reassuring to hear their recommendations and explanations. The nurses and practitioners are just as cool, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Definitively a center I will always try to go every time I need to if they offer the service I'm looking for. Bonus track: the piano playing in the background makes the environment even more relaxed, perfect for a patient who is under stress. The waiting area is comfortable and well maintained, and a really nice touch is the coffee machine on site, where you can make anything from an espresso to a regular American coffee while you wait. Also, there's an optical center onsite. Overall, UN Health combines excellent medical care with convenience, comfort, and a very patient-focused experience. Highly recommended.
