This shop honestly reminds me of walking into my grandpas workshop. There's a plethora of different sounds & people working in a beautiful chaos that results in a down to earth bike shop that always provides for the customer. They're a non profit bike shop, meaning that every bike they have for sale is a donated bike from someone in the community & 95%+ of their staff is volunteer based. You're almost always guaranteed to learn something new before you leave too. This allows them to fix & sell bikes at a reasonable price that truly anyone can afford. If you like bikes & want to meet some cool people & support an even better cause then check them out- volunteering opportunities are plentiful as well.

Their hours are incorrect online. I'll be back to update my review but I couldn't go today because they weren't open. Hours - We'd-Sun 1-5

I just bought a bike for my first year of college from here and I could not be any happier! The bike is perfect! The men who helped me get this bike were so kind and helpful. They made sure the bike fit my needs and likes. For example, they changed my handles because it was too far away for me to grab. They put in new pedals and a more comfortable seat. When i tried the bike after they finished working on it, i noticed the seat was still too tall for me and they eagerly tried to fix the problem for me. I can't wait to start using my new bike!

The seat I brought in to be replaced when I was riding my bike was loose and I almost fell! Ridiculous!

Good bike shop, interesting mix of people staffing. Sweet mechanics, some extremely rude and pushy sales people. Oh well

Wide variety of bicycles available. Also a well staffed repair department. Large selection of repair parts.

It's enormous -- the kind of enormous where you half-expect to find a lost civilization in the camping section. And somehow they have everything. Outdoor gear, bike shop, rentals for basically any activity you've ever considered trying drunk at a party, lift ticket discounts... if it involves fresh air and mild suffering, they've got you covered. Now let's talk about the Basementeers membership, because it deserves its own paragraph. Twenty-five dollars. Once. For life. That's not a typo. For the price of a mediocre cocktail, you get 10% off forever, plus occasional 20% Friends & Family discounts. I've made worse financial decisions in the same afternoon. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and seemingly immune to the judgment you'd deserve for asking "what's the difference between hiking and walking." Basically: go. Join. Buy things. Touch grass -- they sell gear for that too.

Over the years, I have spent time and money at most of the pro shops at all the big name resorts…read more The quality of the service I received from Dominick at the ski shop was on par with all of them. He was extremely knowledgeable, displayed a high level of expertise with confidence, not arrogance. I really appreciated that. I came in with a problem and was immediately provided and explained options, quoted a more than fair rate and didn't feel haggled or hassled on cheesy up sale techniques. Because of his likability and competency, I took his advice and added a fresh wax. In closing, it's a rarity these days to get high quality service, from people that take pride in their job. Dominick is cut from a different cloth. Sports Basement Corporate, your Ski shop just earned a customer for life and you should promote or at least give a healthy raise to Dominick for the rock star service! Thanks Stephen Watson
