I was researching different bike shops in Omaha and then Council Bluffs looking at different…read moree-bikes. I happen to call True Wheel and spoke to Steve. He had mentioned that he builds them. I was almost ready to order one through the mail that would have come from Canada called a Volte ebike and Steve was just so informative that I decided to drive over to Council Bluffs and talk to him about making me a bike. He gave me a great deal with a fair price. I got to say that he really knows his stuff. It took a little longer than I had expected for him to build it but only by a couple days. When I got there to pick up the bike he was making these meticulous fine tuning adjustments to assure that everything was in Tip-Top order. Since getting the bike 3 days ago, ive rode this ebike everyday, and have only needed to charge the battery the first night I brought it home. I think there is still 70 % on the battery. The funny thing is I have ridden a few e bikes in the past and I've never rode one as powerful as the one he built. I'm not saying it was cheap but this is truly the Cadillac of e-bikes. Every time I was in the shop I had seen many people come in and go out all of them seeming to have a great relationship with these guys that run to shop. They do know their stuff and I'm glad I accidentally stumbled into them.

There were some miscommunications with our experience. Additionally, we were treated rather poorly by employees working there while trying to resolve the issue. We finally spoke with the owner, and he did his best to resolve the issues. it did require bringing the bike back in, and having all of the work redone. we were supposed to get the bike back on thursday, but only just got it back now on saturday because they werebusy, and we were delayed. Very happy to have the trike back, and the work is outstanding. I only wish we had been able to deal with the owner from the get go.

Two hours later I walked out with a used Specialized Fatboy, and I'm really happy. We talked about the older days of bike shops and cycling in general. An old school bike shop with an owner who truly cares about your business and fulfilling your needs. I will be back when in Omaha! And the bike is fantastic! Thank you!

I would not recommend this bike shop to anyone. We booked our pre-RAGRBAI tune-up a month in…read moreadvance. The week the tune-up came, we dropped our bikes off and waited two days for a quote. When the quote came around, the owner suggested hundreds of dollars in repairs. I gritted my teeth and agreed to it, hoping it would be worth it for our 430-mile bike ride ahead of us. It was not. The owner refused to give us a time he could do the repairs, even though we needed to be in Des Moines the next day, saying he would get it done "right away." We had to go to the shop twice the next day since he never called us as he promised to. When we finally collected the bikes, it was closing time for the shop and raining outside, so we couldn't take a test ride. When I finally got the bike on the road, I found he had botched the gears, reducing the functionality so only the bottom gears worked. I ended up having to do a week of biking across Iowa on low gears. Save yourself a headache and do not trust this shop with your bike.
