I was looking for the ingredients to make Taiwanese beef noodle soup at home, and not only did I find all the aromatics and soup base spices I needed, I realized they carry pretty much any of the more exotic ingredients one typically needs for most Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Viet, and even Filipino dishes here. I've started making a regular grocery trip here as I've reembraced my Asian roots and food tastes. So glad it's within reasonable distance from home, prices are great, and I can take as long as I need to find just the right product here!

Yet there seems to be some type of magic about this area and their fruit. OMG ITS AMAZING. The peach's are the best juiciest piece of heaven. So sweet bursting with water and flavor. It's like eating ice cream. The golden raspberries are to die for. I've been here during cherry and their golden grapes. Which are my favorite fruit from them. Those grapes are worth the flight to seattle alone. But what you must get if you there is the dried strawberries. Be warned they are addictive they are so good. I tried them for the 1st time this year after coming here for the past 10 years. They were so good I had to call them and get 3 huge bags shipped to my home in vegas. I've given them to friends at work. Then watched them go straight to the stand to get those same 2.5 pound bags for themselves. The service is fantastic. They offer free samples. Which highly I suggest you try as much as you can & find your own favorites. As a guy who travels a ton for work the fruit here is honestly some of the best in the country and it's not even close. LAM'S SEAFOOD MARKET @ SEATTLE…read more Parking is available in their lot, but it is one-way only, so once you enter, you'll have to loop around unless you find a spot right away. Unfortunately, this area is one of the rougher parts of Seattle. There are a lot of unhoused individuals nearby, and during our visit, there were people openly using drugs outside, which felt pretty unsettling while shopping. My mom and I have been coming here for the past 10 years, and it's honestly sad to see how much this area has declined over time. We were able to find parking and go inside, but the store itself feels very rundown and poorly maintained. It doesn't seem like there's been much effort put into renovating or updating the space. I wouldn't recommend buying fresh produce here, there were a lot of flies, and overall it didn't feel clean. The store feels sturdy but very old, and the overall ambiance is outdated. If you do stop by, I'd only recommend picking up canned or sealed items from brands you already trust. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this location unless you absolutely need something in an emergency. Lam's Seafood in Tukwila, on the other hand, is much better, it's bigger, cleaner, and feels a lot safer with no major issues in the surrounding area. Compared to that location, I would strongly avoid this one. It's disappointing to see how much it's changed over the years.

Dong Hing is listed here on Yelp, but it is actually located at 1001 S Jackson St. which is about three blocks from Dong Sing. The weird thing about this, is that this store used to be called Dong Hing Market several years ago. Got that? I wonder why each store decided on such similar names because it is confusing to Yelpers. Dong Sing is actually not very big, but it is one market located in the heart of Chinatown/I-District. Produce is piled high on the street for your perusal. Inside the market you will find groceries like you would find at Dong Hing or Hau Hau or Hop Thanh, but they carry a smaller selection due to limited size. They do have a meat and fish counter in the back however. I have found the prices here to be slightly higher than a few of their I-District counterparts, but still better than at a traditional supermarket. Overall, Dong Sing Market is decent and the location makes it worth a visit.
