I came to Susan Cohn & Associates despondent, crestfallen, beleaguered (name your negative…read moreadjective - I was living it!) after a completely unproductive experience with my daughter's prior speech therapist. Out of a sense of obligation to my daughter, I reached out to Amy Svensson, who handled my cynical intake questions and comments like a champ. I appreciated Amy handling the intake process, as we were able to preserve objectivity ahead of our evaluation with our selected speech therapist, Cassie. After mentally deciding to try a new therapist "for a couple weeks", the results we had with Cassie were indisputable. After just a few sessions, I was able to get my daughter to attempt words that I would say - a perceived impossibility just weeks earlier. My daughter started her journey with Cassie saying only 15 words; a few months later, we are counting well into the hundreds. Speech therapy became a highlight of my daughter's week almost immediately after we started - it's become a true highlight of my week as well. As with many speech delays, the road ahead of us promises to be long, but I am confident of our continued progress thanks to Cassie and the team at Susan Cohn and Associates. If you are losing hope like I was, do yourself a favor and give Susan Cohn a call!

Do not go to this office…read more Referred by my son's primary care but after 2 weeks of back and forth, the office still can't clarify what our first visit will cost. They specifically told me to wait for a diagnosis code, then "forgot" to follow up. There is a total lack of clarity with the billing contact in their office. And then they insist we come in anyway so they can submit billing to the insurance and if it's not covered, it will just be one out of pocket visit cost. Sounds like they're out to make money, not help their patients- who in this case is a 3 year old. Frankly, they had more than 2 weeks to validate insurance coverage and are incompetent when it comes to communication. I mean, just pay out of pocket right? They'll figure it out later !

When your young child is diagnosed with autism, you're almost desperate for therapy. Many places…read morehave months long waiting lists just to get in and this one wasn't an exception. It made me initially think that the therapy has to be good because the demand is so high. Unfortunately, the reverse was true. My little guy was signed up for both a social group and speech therapy. The speech therapist although sweet unfortunately created bad habits that our current speech therapist is working to fix. For example, she insisted on having each session with him seated at a table and with autistic children tending to be rigid with repeated exercises and most autistic therapists recommending floortime at a young age it's been a difficult habit to try to change. With the social group, unfortunately I wasn't able to sit in on any of the sessions (it isn't allowed) but our son has not only developed a fear of social groups anytime we drive by the road typically we would head towards their clinic (he utters "no social group, no [the person who led it]"). We have put him in a new social group (although call it a playgroup to him so he doesn't associate it) and he happily heads there weekly making us wonder what happened in Mosaic's social group that three months later he still starts getting agitated when we approach their clinic. I'm assuming parents have a good experience here given the long waitlists but given the lackluster experience we had with both the social groups and speech therapy for us it would have been better to have avoided therapy as opposed to getting it here. The star rating reflects the administration/front desk who were always pleasant to work with and the speech therapist who was a nice person.

My experience with this provider's billing practices has been extremely disappointing and, at…read moretimes, frankly predatory. After receiving a billing estimate that aligned with expected copays, my insurance (Premera) incorrectly processed the claim toward the deductible. Instead of proactively working with the insurer to resolve the discrepancy, the provider immediately attempted to collect the higher amount from me. When I questioned this, I was told estimates can be inaccurate, with no effort made on their end to investigate or advocate with the insurer. The structure of services also raises concerns. A straightforward pediatric psychological evaluation was broken into multiple billable components--intake interview, nurse-led evaluation, physician documentation, and results discussion--each charged separately. Additional "material fees" were applied for what appeared to be basic printed paperwork, on top of copays. Time overages during the evaluation were billed in small increments (10-15 minutes) at very high rates, quickly escalating the total cost. When the insurance error was eventually acknowledged and corrected, late fees were still applied during a period when billing had been requested to be placed on hold. Despite clear documentation, those fees were not addressed. Equally concerning was the tone of communication throughout this process--responses were often dismissive, aggressive, and focused on payment demands rather than resolution. The entire experience was unnecessarily stressful and required significant time and effort to manage. Patients should be prepared to closely monitor billing, question charges, and advocate for themselves at every step. Transparency and patient support were notably lacking here.
