Autumn is an awesome doula!!! We had a great experience with Seattle Doula Partners and would…read moreabsolutely hire them again. We interviewed 3-4 doulas and the team at Seattle Doula Partners stood out the best to us. They were not pushy and their experience and calmness in communicating to us through facts and information really appealed to us. The initial conversations before the birth were very helpful. I was very apprehensive about the birth and talking with them to help uncover my and my husband's anxieties about the birth and it really helped prepare us emotionally. In many ways I felt like it was a therapy session! When I was hospitalized at 32 weeks, Autumn checked in on me consistently to make sure we were doing okay which felt very reassuring. Finally when the day came, we let Autumn know we were on the way to the hospital at about 11pm and she arrived just after I settled down in the L&D room which was super speedy! She immediately attended to both mine and my husband's needs, answering any questions we had. One of the most valuable things that Autumn did was that before anything that happened, e.g. getting my epidural or pushing, Autumn talked through in detail what to expect and this helped prepare us well emotionally and in many ways, made me less fearful. She was always right by our sides coaching us on what to do in a gentle and reassuring way. She wasn't intrusive and allowed me and my husband to have our own time. Through the pattern of my contractions, the nurse hypothesized that my baby was face up. Autumn had a ton of suggestions on how to resolve this and coached the nurse to getting me in the right positions. By then, my lower half was pretty weak from the epidural and every time the nurse had to shift me, Autumn was always there to lend a helping hand. At about 2am, all of us went to rest and my husband was exhausted. The IV machine kept beeping and Autumn always promptly stood up and turned it off so that we could all rest. She was close by and helped me with every small little thing I needed so my husband could rest. Autumn coached me through the entire 2 hours of pushing and holding my legs up. She was very encouraging and her calming and reassuring words gave me a ton of confidence. Once the baby was out, she stepped back, got one of our phones and took a bunch of pictures that I really treasure today! Post birth, I had a lot of difficult breastfeeding and Autumn shifted her schedule so she could come and visit me soon after that. She helped me with the latch and gave me a bunch of ideas to help increase my supply. 3 months on and I still think about how lucky we were to have Autumn by our side! Thank you so much for your hard work, Autumn!!

She…read morewas extremely helpful with pain management and came with a bag full of goodies to aid in my comfort. She was very helpful in coaching my husband and provided an extra set of hands so he could shower and make sure we had everything we needed before leaving our place. She arrived at our apartment at nearly 2am and stayed with us for at least 24 hours! We had planned an out of hospital birth, but after a very long labor at home and at the birth center, my midwives transferred me to UW. Postpartum home visits are just as helpful, providing breastfeeding and pumping advice, she will even show you how to baby wrap and answer any questions you have. Before I decided to hire a Doula for my birth, I was unsure if I would "need one." My midwife had initially recommended that I have one, especially for first time births. I then spoke to a few people who had used a Doula, and only heard positives! No one ever says "I wish I didn't have my Doula!" Now I tell everyone "you need a Doula!"

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this clinic with my 2-year-old toddler and mother…read more From the moment we arrived, my son was understandably scared and crying due to the unfamiliar environment. What made this experience truly shocking was the therapist, Jasmine, who made zero effort to comfort my child. Instead of offering any assistance, she sat with a stern, detached expression, leaving me and my mother to frantically try and calm him down on our own. We know that music usually helps soothe my toddler, so we played some children's songs at a reasonable volume in a room with closed doors. To our surprise, Jasmine asked us to turn it off without giving any reason, adding to the tension rather than alleviating it. Throughout the entire session, she showed no patience or empathy, merely sitting back and watching as my son cried. What truly drove us to leave was when my son got frightened by the watch she was wearing. I politely asked if she could pull her sleeve down just a little (which is about 1cm from the watch) to cover it, hoping it might help ease his fear. She refused, saying: "No, I'm just going to leave it here as is. I always wear it, and I'm just going to leave it here." At that moment, I realized that with her attitude and approach, there was no chance of making meaningful progress in this session. We left with my son still upset, and I shared my concerns with the clinic staff. To their credit, the staff and managers listened to my feedback attentively, which I do appreciate. However, the therapy experience itself was appallingly poor. I would not recommend this therapist to anyone, and I sincerely hope no other child or parent has to endure such a distressing and unprofessional session.

We had a positive experience with our SLP, Shay Sullivan. She works hard to meet the learning needs…read moreof your child & plans therapy alongside the family well. She is open to feedback and direction from outside tutors and IEP goals to design specific learning objectives for a child with dyslexia. Communication with the clinic, front desk, billing and office manager unfortunately, is lacking. The owner is not an open nor, honest person and does not take time to understand the truth of a situation. *Beware: If you take a two week family trip in the summer and your clinician also takes a trip the following two weeks, you'll be accused of cancelling half of your scheduled appointments for the summer and then given a warning of violating an attendance contract, (even though majority of these appointments were re-scheduled). Later, this will be used against you when your child is sick with a fever and has to cancel last minute. It really is a bummer to be taken off the schedule because of incomplete records and lack of communication. Other things to know: -The office staff is not welcoming as you enter the clinic, nor do they let you know if your clinician is coming soon or not. -You are responsible for tracking your co-pay payments and being sure to pay them. This is tricking if another caregiver has to bring the child to their appointment because the office does not keep a credit card on file at the clinic. -Therapists discuss private therapy and decisions in the waiting area with caregivers, which is overwhelming and crowded. I have heard many private discussions in that waiting room due to this model of communication. Overall, it's a decent place to receive therapy services and they do have a fabulous swing area. Don't make the same mistake I did, be mindful of your communication with the clinic. Be sure to be clear about their expectations for scheduling. Don't assume anything, never run a few minutes late and don't get sick or you'll be on their list.

Our son has been getting help from Jenni for more than two years now…read more Before finding Jenni, we tried several different speech therapists, but nothing really clicked. Our son would get bored easily, and the therapists didn't quite understand what he needed. But when we met Jenni, everything changed. Our son absolutely LOVES spending time with her - he literally thinks it's a fun playdate! He gets super excited on days when he gets to see her. Jenni's talent with kids is exceptional. Her play-based methods have been instrumental, as they allow therapy to unfold naturally without any sense of pressure. What truly sets Jenni apart is how knowledgeable she is about various aspects of physical and neurological development, leading to her holistic approach to therapy. She seamlessly incorporates activities that not only focus on speech but also enhance various cognitive functions and behavior growth. For instance, she cleverly integrates activities that boost his memory and simultaneously reinforce his ability to name pictures, or plays board games to teach him to take turns and regulate emotions while practicing speech. Since starting with Jenni, our son's vocabulary has expanded exponentially, and his pronunciation and ability to form sentences has remarkably improved. He now confidently communicates and is easily understood by family, friends, teachers, and peers at preschool. Even with all the improvement, we will continue sessions far into the future because she actively contributes to our son's overall development. What Jenni has done for our son is truly life changing, and we are forever thankful to her! We wholeheartedly recommend Jenni for anyone seeking exceptional support for their child's speech and overall development.

My most recent experiences, however, show a complete lack of professionalism. My CT scans from a month ago have not been reviewed, and multiple calls to my surgeon have been ignored. Dr. Basamania has enjoyed a stellar reputation but I think his recent performance is subpar. This is a placeholder until I type out another banger lambasting Keem for being a terrible surgeon. Keem told me my artificial disc migrated - in actuality, a team of Virginia Mason neurosurgeons investigated, and found the disc was installed in the wrong place (which took a while to diagnose, as Keem refused to release intra-operative imaging for close to a year). Entire steps of my surgery were skipped. And he lied to my face about it - and to the Polyclinic ... just before mysteriously leaving his cushy position as their sole spinal surgeon. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Keem is a lazy, incompetent butcher. I still experience daily pain and take daily pain medications after what he did to me as a young athlete. He mysteriously vanished from the Polyclinic after multiple government investigations of my surgery, including a winning ruling by the Washington state AG's office because Keem was double-paid by both me and my insurance, and his office said I'd have to sue him directly to be reimbursed. He's corrupt, and a liar. After some time floating around, it appears he's been hired by Swedish. They should be ashamed of themselves - I reached out directly to share the results of my surgery. Clearly, Swedish doesn't care about the longevity of their patients, or keeping them safe, functional, and pain-free. Keep in mind that this man has a long and extensive history of "complicated" surgeries, as well as kickbacks into the millions from the manufacturer of the only artificial disc he installs. (They also cover fusion equipment, etc.) I could find no other surgeon who only uses equipment from one company ... let alone ones paid by them on the side. More corruption to the absolute core. More coming. I have other reviews for him in my profile, including one in which I caught him leaving himself a fake positive review. Don't be fooled by this slimy, unctuous guy who has a long history of leaving his patients immediately post-op to go get paid by Medtronic while they suffer through permanent and life-changing complications. Expect a PA to see you for your first post-op appointment (dangerous and insidious scope creep, going against all advice of the American Medical Association), and expect them to misread your imaging and gaslight you about your pain because they have no idea what they're talking about. This is an established pattern of Keem's. If Keem has 5,000 haters, I'm one of them. If Keem has 1 hater, it's me. If Keem has 0 haters, it's because his rotten surgery finally killed me Lmaoooo. If Shakespeare knew this guy, he'd call him an egg.
