Patients are denied or accepted on a case-by-case basis so don't be confused that just because you fill out a patient request you will be accepted as a patient. And you will not be notified by phone, but by a letter in the mail almost a week later. I hate leaving a bad review, but all this I feel has been done in very poor taste, and very unprofessional.

My appointment was with Cindy Hanes, and she was incredibly condescending and disrespectful throughout our conversation. When she wrote the lab order, she didn't include certain tests that I (and my previous physician, as I tried to explain to her) requested, but she completely ignored my request to split the test and wrote everything in one order. When I asked her to re-write the order, she said to me (literally, her words) "you can take what I gave you and leave". There were two other nurses standing nearby, and the look on their faces told me that they weren't surprised that this lady said what she said; obviously I'm not the first person to have this experience. I'd strongly advise anyone going to this facility to avoid this lady, as she was by far and away the most unprofessional, and downright rude, health care practitioner I have ever encountered.

I'm able to get some supplements that I needed and guidance on what to start taking. that being said, I am going to talk about the office atmosphere and ladies that work there. Leah is very nice and thorough and was so helpful. I have not had an appointment with Dr. Roach. however, my family has. The last couple times I've been at the office, I have encountered a particular person and I'm unsure if she is the same person. I talked to her once in person and the second time it was on the phone. the first time I came in and wanted to ask about a couple supplements. I had recently had an appointment with Leah and had driven over to ask about a particular supplement that I was interested in . this lady pops up out of no where and stands there and tells me I can't do that. she is really snappy and adamant about not allowing me in any way to inquire over the supplements. I was very polite , but firm and asked if I could speak to the nutritionist. she stood there behind the receptionist and denied that as well. I was very surprised at this rule she seemed well set on applying to me. I made an appointment with Leah after speaking with her. she told me I was not allowed to look at the supplements. I was shocked at this treatment, because I had been a faithful client and was also bringing them business through friends and family. I had also went to the center in the past and bought supplements that I was interested in. the lady there at that time was very helpful and friendly. later at my appointment I spoke to Leah and informed her of the situation. she told me to come to her directly the next time that happened and speak to her. she also told me I was able to buy any supplement I was interested in. she was disappointed in the fact that I had experienced this and was sorry. why would midway employ such snotty workers? and why would they allow treatment of polite , respectful clients who had questions and was interested in giving this center business and not only that , but spreading business to family and friends!? recently I had another negative experience and I'm wondering if it was with this same lady. I called the office to make an appointment. after getting my card information over the phone, the secretary informed me that I had a deficit on my account. I was sincerely unaware of this and she was pushing me to pay with the card I just gave her. I wonder if that was manipulation? I absolutely wanted to pay my bill, but I needed to ask what it was for. since the receptionist couldn't give me further information she transferred me to the accountant. As soon as I spoke to this accountant lady she was snippy and short . she immediately acted as if I was wrong for inquiring over my bill. she informed me that it was my responsibility and acted as if I had been receiving notices and was avoiding it. I didn't argue, I only asked a couple questions. I then paid my bill. she seemed disappointed that I paid, as if she wanted to argue and was wanting me to argue over the bill. again, very poor attitudes from this office and I'm thinking it's the same lady . Dr Roach are you aware of this behavior? how it dissuades business and will eventually effect you? remember one bad apple will spoil the whole bunch.

My previous U of L Primary Care doctor retired in the past two years and I found waiting lists for new patient appointments in the Primary Care Field can be at least a year out. Each time I have an appointment with one of my medical specialists I always pose the question "can you recommend a Primary Care doctor?" Several doctors and nurses recommended this practice and. In particular APRN Kaela Turley was recommended. Several months ago my husband and I made the call and got a new patient appointment for him. We had agreed together to evaluate how that appointment went and after the fact make an appointment for me. We were so impressed with the practice, it's location, and APRN Turley that we didn't even leave and discuss the change instead I scheduled a new patient appointment on the way out. I have now seen the APRN several times and each time I know we are at the correct Primary Care Practice! Kayla Turley is knowledgeable, professional, and outshines some doctors I have seen. Bottom line they really care and even will work you in on short notice if they have the time. If they cannot work you in for an immediate need there is a Norton Immediate Care right next door.

You have to ask for the rest. Had a physical examination and was not offered a mammogram. My husband was not offered a prostate exam. We are both elderly and these are exams that we should get at least once a year. Why do we need to ask for it? Also, women are not treated equally as men. We have been going there for several years and my husband gets to see the doctor directly and for the last two years I've only been able to get a nurse practitioner.

Where do you go when you need to see a doctor on a Saturday? Your local urgent or immediate care…read more Well, maybe. First you look up the wait time for your local immediate care. Eight hours, ugh. Then you look at other immediate care centers in the area. So I would have to drive an extra ten miles but the wait time is a half hour. Sold, I'm on my way! I was really impressed with the cleanliness, organization, and staff at the La Grange Norton Immediate Care. I probably shouldn't exclaim about this location or they might get as busy as all the other Norton Immediate Care Centers. There are many to choose from in the greater Louisville area. One advantage with this system is you can check on wait times and even register prior to your arrival. All the centers handle a wide range of ailments and injuries. As for my first hand experience at this location. I arrived and checked in at the front desk. Since I am a patient in the Norton system all my information was already in the computer and up to date. All they needed to see was my insurance card and ask the reason for my visit. The waiting area was spacious and clean. I waited about fifteen minutes and was escorted back to a treatment room. The intake nurse was pleasant and did all the normal duties, blood pressure, temp, pulse, list of medicines and allergies. Then I was treated by Kimberly Wright, APRN. She was fantastic! Not only did she identify my ailment but knew I needed to start on a prescription med right away. She knew my local pharmacy and it's closing hour on Saturday so she rushed me through the check out process and sent me on my way to pick up my prescription. Had she not warned me that it was going to take me going straight to the pharmacy I might not have thought about the early closing on Saturday. Thank you for the care provided! I would not hesitate to come back here for treatment in the future. Going to an Immediate Care Center costs more than a regular doctor visit on my insurance but it was well worth it! A true five star experience.
