From the moment he walked in, he was calm, attentive, and genuinely present. He didn't rush, he listened carefully, and he explained everything in a way that actually made sense--something that's rare in such a high-stress environment. What stood out most was how much he truly cared. I felt seen, heard, and respected, not just treated like another case. He not only listened, but also provided helpful tools and advice with no judgment, which made a meaningful difference. His compassion and professionalism made a difficult situation so much easier to handle. I also want to recognize the incredible nurses and staff. They were kind, patient, and attentive throughout my visit, making sure I was comfortable and supported every step of the way. Their teamwork and compassion truly stood out and made a lasting impression. Dr. Joshua White is, without a doubt, the best doctor I've ever spoken with. If every ER doctor and team approached patients this way, the entire healthcare experience would be transformed

They're quick to remind you of your outstanding balance but will leave you on hold for 45 minutes hoping you'll hang up, only for them to. Care quality isn't even decent, I gave birth in October in the Lehi location, and the nurse I had was awful. Cause severe birth trauma for me as a first time mom, wish I could remember her name. I've had family try to help me navigate their financial aide and they mention Intermountain isn't even this hard. If you can, go elsewhere.

Since this was my last baby, I was really hoping for something better than my previous births with my other two daughters. Let me just say--it was the most amazing experience I've ever had. I was treated with such care, like a close family member was looking after me. The staff constantly checked in to make sure I was okay, explained everything clearly, and truly made me feel supported. My baby stayed in the room with me almost the entire time--only leaving briefly for a few necessary tests--and the nurses were kind, patient, and incredibly understanding. Honestly, it didn't feel like a regular hospital at all--it felt peaceful, warm, and focused on me and my baby. If you're on the fence about coming here, I say go for it. I 100% recommend this hospital--it was a beautiful way to welcome my last little one into the world.

Walking into the emergency room with a sick child is incredibly stressful, but from the moment we arrived, every staff member treated us with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. The nurses were patient, attentive, and so gentle with my little one, helping keep them calm and comfortable throughout our visit. The doctors took the time to thoroughly evaluate my child, explain everything clearly, and answer all of our questions without making us feel rushed. What stood out most was how genuinely caring everyone was. They not only provided excellent medical care but also showed so much empathy toward our family during a frightening situation. Thanks to their expertise and dedication, we felt reassured and confident that our child was receiving the best possible care. We are incredibly grateful for the outstanding team in the ER. Thank you for going above and beyond for our family and for treating our little one with such kindness and compassion.

Do not come to this hospital if you are experiencing an emergency…read more My insulin pump broke late at night and I couldn't reach my doctor after-hours. Since there's no 24-hour pharmacy in Ogden to pick up syringes and a longer-acting insulin alternative, it was the ER or bust, so I went to McKay-Dee. The ER was gross. It was unorganized. I explained my situation and was left to wait for three hours, behind people who apparently had headcolds. Now, a diabetic without insulin may not *look* sick, but after three hours I was approaching Danger Zone, so I let the nurse know (again). Still, I waited. Then I'm taken into a back room where they try to give me an IV and think I'm a newly-diagnosed diabetic. They refuse to listen to me explain otherwise and threaten to call security because I'm not cooperating. (WTF?) I demand to see a supervisor, explain that I'm really only there to get a new prescription, and I'm finally given a doctor. The ER doc outright tells me that he has no idea how to help me, but he's sure he can find someone to call. I try to explain that I already know exactly what I need - a bottle of longer-acting insulin and some syringes and some guidance on how to convert my normal dosage into this new insulin. Google on my Blackberry was far more helpful. Once I got insulin back in my system, I was (unsurprisingly) eventually hypoglycemic, and the nurse refused to let me get juice. Now, I don't expect any hospital staff to be fully in-the-know about every disease in existence. However, if I hadn't advocated strongly for myself, I would have been in a coma. Twice. No joke. Diabetes is not a rare disease, and it scares me that so many medical professionals had no idea how to handle the situation.
