We entered the emergency room and were given papers to fill out. After that they then gave us more papers with similar questions, so my s/o filled out what was important (as hes hunched over in pain) and gave the sheet back with spaces like religion unanswered. The women at the desk asked to finish it and after telling her (not yelling or being rude but upset bc hes been in pain), he was throwing up blood and really just needs a doctor now the "security" guy proceeded to rush from his station and yell, practically scream, right in our faces. Truly dont know why he was yelling, he was so mad his face was red and he couldn't even speak properly. I've never seen a security guard act this way and especially not with someone who just said they were throwing up blood. In a hospital you need compassion and understanding and this guy lacked both of these things. I called the cops immediately after he pushed himself closer and kept screaming at myself and my sick partner. We were advised by dispatch to distance ourselves until police arrived but instead now 4 security guys stood over us, cornered in the waiting room and blocking the only exit; and only moved when the sheriff's truck pulled up outside. Then explaining to the cops our side of the story, the 2/4 men proceeded to insert themselves until the police told them to back off. After our 3+ hour visit we asked for his name to make a proper complaint and were only given a card by the manager with a number to call and make a complaint with 'patient advocate'. If you are at common spirit or in the emergency department keep your eye out for the bald man with glasses who doesn't seem fully right in the head, he may just scream at you for being in pain. The nurses and doctor were very nice but security needs better hires and more training apparently. I was only going to make a proper complaint but since I cannot do that without the name of who I had a unpleasant interaction with im leaving this review on the chance nothing happens and he continues to act a fool. Also tried calling their patient relations office (they usually list the number in answer to the bad reviews) only to get their voicemail, which again, just shows it's not about advocating for the patient. As I took my first bite, my suspicions were confirmed - it was bland and tasteless, and I was left wondering how such a crucial aspect of patient care could be so overlooked. I had blood tests done last June as part of a well care visit. The blood tests did Not come back normal. So one would thing that the "doctor" who ordered them would follow up. No such thing in Middle Park or Colorado for that matter. The patient is supposed to figure out what the tests mean, look up how to handle the not normal problem and try to fix it yourself. So I advocated for myself, then made another blood test appointment and fixed myself, woohoo. So then why do I have to pay the "doctor" fees. The "doctor" was Lauren Howell, so if you actually want real help from an actual doctor don't see her. Honestly, don't try for any help from any "doctor" in the state of Colorado. Go back east where the people, doctors, specialists have brains and practice in their fields because they want to help people not so they can ski on weekends.

I visited during posted urgent-care hours after a fall. CommonSpirit's public-facing website describes urgent-care pricing during specific hours and states that patients will be informed whether their treatment or testing is being billed at an emergency or urgent-care level. That did not happen during my visit. After the visit, I received a CommonSpirit facility bill totaling $38,591.97 in gross charges -- roughly $31,999.44 of which was for a single CT scan. For context, a brand-new CT scanner costs around $100,000. My concern isn't with the clinicians, who were professional. My concern is with the disclosure practices of the facility itself. Don't assume an organization has your best interest in mind simply because of its marketing or its religious and mission-driven branding. Ask explicitly, before any test or treatment, whether you're being billed at the emergency or urgent-care level -- and get the answer in writing if you can.

The Kafferky Team is amazing--always helpful no matter the day or time. The P.A.s are exceptional with a special shout out to Daniel Wood. Vail Health is a wonderful hospital in which to have a procedure--perfectly organized and timely. I am a trail runner, hiker and rancher so I ride horseback many hours a week in the summer months. The new hips have made it possible to continue with all my activities. I highly recommend the Steadman Clinic and the Kafferky Team.
