STAY FAR AWAY -- They literally stole our wedding deposit We paid over $5,000 for wedding welcome drinks and Common House Charlottesville suddenly shut down. Now they're ghosting us on our money. No refunds, no real communication, just endless "ongoing legal process" excuses while we're left holding the bag. This company is clearly bankrupt or headed there fast due to terrible mismanagement. We're now forced to go to court during wedding planning an incredibly stressful and expensive nightmare they created. The whole operation feels rotten. Richmond, Chattanooga, New Orleans - whatever location you're looking at, do not give them your money. They will take your deposit and leave you screwed. read more

The Common House is truly something special. Think part cool kids club house, part work place, part gym, part pool scene and part creative/learning space. It's like no other business in the city and I'm proud to be a part of it. Normally, I'd be a bit guarded about a social club that started in other cities wouldn't get New Orleans right, but this place has embraced our vibrant community and has put together programming that not only totally "gets it," but brings it to the next level. From the Liquor & Lectures series (my favorite) to the holiday celebrations to Friday night DJs to their excellent Happy Hour and holiday pop-ups, there's always something going on. Even when there's isn't something "going on," it's just the best place to get your co-working done. Love the hip and art-filled modern warehouse ambiance (local artists OFC) and that pool bar is right out of your Golden Girls dreams. Speaking of the pool, yes, it's an inviting experience with friendly people around you. I tend to go on the later side b/c I don't love the sun so I avoid the crowds, too. Membership really has its perks, from the guest policy to the programming to the really huge gym. And I'm so grateful they've made the restaurant even better with decent vegan options. I had brunch here and loved my faro bowl. The only thing that has given me pause is the 20% fee added on to checks which is not a gratuity. So it can get pricey when you consider that you're paying 40% more than the price of a drink or a meal. I love the staff here so it's unthinkable that I would just pretend that I think the 20% "member fee" is their tip. That aside, I love Common House and I love bringing my friends in as guests. Everyone is so blown away by the space and the friendliness of the staff. read more

I had the awesome pleasure of hanging out at Common House for a full day while in town for a big event. The event was hosted at Common House so I was able to be in this super fun space all day. I got to enjoy their insanely delicious brunch. Which apparently is a newer menu since they recently got a new Chef. I saw the Chef later that night and had to stop him and say thank you for such a wonderful meal! It's one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I had the fox & ging coffee and it was superb! My absolute favorite though was the yellowfin tuna tartare and the fried blue crab cake entree. My my my. Everything was incredible!!! I truly wish we had a Common House in Charlotte. I also got to tour the entire space and it's really cool. I loved the gym area, pool area and event area. This place is a gym and if I lived in New Orleans I'd definitely be a member!! read more

Talk about a great time there were two DJ a full second line band and an array of vendors with amazing bite from the Tacos , the Mobile bar, the focaccia, charcuterie, cookies, and cupcakes . First time visiting this social club in New Orleans. They had a very friendly hostess who showed us the lay of the land. The entry has a free space with a bar and areas to work from home. They have a restaurant and courtyard in the first floor as well. The second floor has a gym and sauna. It is odd that the sauna isn't in both male and female rooms. The sauna also didn't really get hot enough to fully enjoy (it was more of a mild dry heat). The third floor had another bar and the best part was the all year round swimming pool. I had so much fun attending the event Mockly Presents Trombone Shorty & New Breed Brass Band! The venue is awesome! I love the vibe, decor, ambiance, and amenities offered at the Common House! The weather was perfect for the concert on the Courtyard. I enjoyed a Mockly cocktail while mingling with other guests and dancing to the live music. Of course the highlight for me was Trombone Shorty! I love seeing him perform. It's always exciting and a good time! There were light refreshments served, but I decided to dine in at the restaurant. I enjoyed a Grilled Shrimp Caesar Salad. It was so delicious! I highly recommend ordering this salad This is a great venue! read more

Another great event at common house. I was invited to the Mockly Event with Trombone Shorty & New Breed Brass Band. We were able to try the mocktails by Mockly but as you know I added vodka and champagne to mine. The drinks were tastey. There were lite bites and a stage for live music. I recently attended the Essence GU x Kensington Grey mixer at Common House, and it was such a refreshing experience! The space was modern yet inviting, with warm lighting, thoughtful design, and a vibe that made networking feel natural--not forced. It was Essence, so I had to drive a block up for parking. The event had various promotional gifts for guests- makeup palette, beautiful Cover Girl Backdrop, etc. The event itself was well-curated and felt intentional, from the guest list to the programming. As a content creator and stylist, it was exactly the type of atmosphere where creativity and connection thrive. I especially appreciated the mix of established professionals and emerging voices--it was truly a room full of possibility. Common House was the perfect host venue. 10/10 would attend again. read more

I began visiting Common House as a guest of friends and my colleague who are founding members. It took me about 6 months of visits for random reasons to decide that I wanted to be a member myself. Once the perfect opportunity presented itself, in the form of a seasonal promotion I took the leap. It's great for me for 3 reasons: it's a great workspace, the gym/pool, the programming. You see how I made the gym and pool 1 reason. I work from home and live about a mile away so it's easy for me to ride my bike over and stick around as long as I'd like without the parking issue. I would love if there was bike storage for house members but I'm improvising for now. The pool bar is great and the pool itself is perfect for a hot summer day. The main gathering space/bar is great for bringing friends visiting from out of town. The drinks are good and pretty standard pricing in comparison to other bars in the area. I haven't had dinner in the restaurant yet. I'll write another review for that when the time comes. The recent schedule of events has been great. As an event planner and community builder, these are great opportunities for me to build my network and just enjoy my investment in the membership. read more

This was a pretty interesting and cool concept! There were a ton of different working spaces including a pool as gym in this social place. Thanks to Sa'Rah and Yelp, I got to explore a new place that I didn't know that existed. The only issue I had was sometimes with the latch access to get access to the different doors, but other than that this was a pretty cool experience. read more

Interesting, versatile venue for events, the staff were great at keeping everything clean. But they were a bit like big scary bouncers at the end of the party, which I didn't expect or really love. I have managed and run events and there's really no reason to yell at people - there are other ways to manage a crowd. I'll visit again and possibly amend that comment. Okay, so I love this place! It's such a nice vibe! There's a bar, fitness center, co-working area, pool. It's the perfect spot to spend an entire day at. It's newly opened in the Warehouse District-- steps away from all the things. I stopped by today and it's lovely. Drinks were good - did not try food. Staff is amazing. The fitness center has your basic equipment but still useful for a decent workout. The co-working area is quaint and quiet. Absolutely love the pool and the view of my beautiful city!! Did get a visitor from a rodent friend while in the lobby area, one of the staff members mentioned it happens sometimes. Keep in mind this place is basically steps away from the CBD of New Orleans, it's common. Regardless of that, this place is super clean. The Common House is member only and card only. I love this, of course coming back soon to enjoy all amenities. read more

Yesterday, the members of the Yelp Elite Squad were treated to a lovely Crawfish boil at The New Orleans Common House, which is a premier social club and coworking space, buzzing with activity, located in the heart of New Orleans. It's membership driven, where members can work, socialize, and collaborate. This is the site of the former Children's Museum, a very welcoming and airy facility with a comfortable and stylish environment. The amenities include shared workspaces, meeting rooms, event spaces, bars, dining options, and a rooftop pool, where one escape the hot days after work. The Common House shares a courtyard with Memoir Hotel/Apartments. The courtyard is like an oasis, where the crawfish party was. The vendor did a great job. The crawfish were fat, properly seasoned, and the other ingredients (corn, potatoes, etc.) were delicious. The Common House staff were outstanding. I even received a private tour of the facility by the very capable and polite, manager Jaque, thank you! read more

I had enjoyed my experience at Common house much better back in 2024 when it wasn't overly crowded. During the winter months, common house is much less crowded. Service is ok, but the 20% "service charge" is a bit unclear if that is a tip or not. Nowadays if I go to the social hall and co working space, I can barely find a table to work because they're all full. Not to mention when they close down the co-working room for a private event with no notice, there's not really any other working space to go to. Now that the weather is much warmer, it is almost impossible to grab a chair at the pool. It is way too crowded almost like a public pool, complete opposite of Common House's "exclusivity." I've had to stand and wait for a chair to open up. There should be some kind of regulation in place to keep a steady crowd. Facilities are nice overall and the food is always good. read more

Had a private birthday event in the Remy Room . Room has an exceptional vibe , friendly helpful staff as well as Event Coordinator Jade ! Cocktail hour with passed appetizers were just right . Sit down dinner after food was good and service was wonderful ! Could not have been more pleased with the room , staff and food ! We provided everything for table decor but staff was helpful assisting and giving their opinion and even coordinated the water glasses with our vision which was a very nice touch ! read more
