This is a cool event space it looks a little rough, but the movie picture quality and the sound were really good. Very close to the sound of a regular larger theatre. It has chairs and couches pretty comfortable for about 50 people. If you can catch a little small movie here or a band or a play or art exhibit check out that theater we had a good time they have a full bar. They didn't have popcorn that night, but he says they usually do. They also rent the space out for events and parties or a concert that you want play for your friends.

I don't go to the movies more than once or twice a year for a variety of reasons (mainly due to the audience around me not being respectful and at the high cost of a movie ticket, I don't always see the value), but I wanted to see The Bride in a theater and I was thrilled to see it was playing here. The lovely ticket salesperson was very welcoming and a great representation of the theater. The concession/bartenders, however... I felt disliked and I try to lead with kindness so I'm not sure if it was a rough night or whatever. The guy cleaning the theater was also super nice and I felt bad that he was doing it on his own, given how inconsiderate movie patrons can be (is it so hard to take your trash out with you?) The movie experience itself was very good, with stadium style seating that I didn't expect. Prices are lower than at your typical AMC etc and I appreciated the wine selection. I also admired their community events and special showings. It reminded me a lot of one of my favorite arthouses in NYC, the Angelika.

No lean back, recliner, vibrating chairs, with food service served to you. No it is just a plain small theatre with one popcorn machine, a few concessions people, some candy for sale, a nice somewhat elaborate coffee barista area, and a few select movies showing. I love the quaintness of this theatre. I loved the quirky decor. And I really enjoyed their coffee as well. I came here during the winter when they were showing It's a Wonderful Life. Not only was it was my first time here at the this theatre, it was also my first time seeing this movie. Prior to the showing, a worker stood in front of the theatre to address the crowd with beautiful facts about the movie and Jimmy Stewart. It is an annual event, so if you are curious this is a great way to spend an afternoon. They also have a soap machine making what represents "Snow" outside as you enter the establishment. People also came dressed up in fun winter and Christmas gear. I highly recommend this being done at least once. And if not for this annual showing, any fun date.

She was patient, gave easy directions, and let the kids have fun with painting. Each child had their own easel, and they had enough paint to mix colors and be creative. One is allowed to bring food and cake; I do not think that sternos are allowed. Although those who have seen the official Broadway production might say otherwise, I thought the performance was wonderfully executed- of course, it's easy to be amazed by how the actors handle the puppets. Half an hour in, I forgot there were even actors behind the the puppets! One piece of advice... RUN for the restroom during intermission if you plan on making it before intermission is over... there's only three stalls for the entire theatre.

It was first established in a garage space in 2000 to serve as an alternative to the Main Auditorium on campus, which is not readily available to the school's theatre students. The space has a small stage & backstage area, concessions stand, & basic stage lighting & sound system. At this time I'm the facility manager/drama faculty, & since 2014 we've had regular programming such as a student drama showcase in the fall, & a fully-produced play every spring. (These are distinct from the non-EJ theatre events that frequently occur in the Main Auditorium.) The space is modest, needs some upgrades, & is even a little rough but we've produce high-quality work by exceptionally talented students for low ticket prices. I think this alternative name was to try to make folks forget they were going to a school. I'm not sure what the Jafa bit is about. And for a HS based theater it's really pretty good. It has good sound and is pretty large (seats 1500 people). I've seen broadway shows and operas and kid performances in this theater. (As an aside if you're ever invited to see the musical Titanic, don't. Oh so boring.) Once upon a time, I even auditioned here...only because my friend wanted to. The parking is alongside the length of the school and do not block driveways on the surrounding streets because residents have tow trucks on speed dial. It's definitely still open since I just saw a listing for performance happening later this month.

And that's the ONLY thing I'm reviewing: the food experience. The food was actually pretty good! I got the crawfish cornbread and potato salad, which each came in their own little styrofoam container. The potato salad was pretty simple, which matches my preference. The cornbread was more of a side dish in terms of size, but it was moist and didn't skimp on fillings. The food is supposedly all made from scratch, which I have no reason to disbelieve. Potato salad was $2, cornbread was $5. My total bill was $9. I'm not sure if the extra $2 was the tax or the can of soda I asked about and didn't receive; hopefully the former. The portions were on the small side, so it's not cheap, but not bad considering. Now for the problem: *getting* the food. It ended up taking 4 different attempts/trips spread across two nights to get the food I wanted. The menu and hours advertised seem like they be more of suggestions/guidelines than actual rules. If you're actually going to bar-lurk then that probably doesn't matter, but if you're just after food... Go to an actual restaurant.
