Successfully live there some nights for a long time I don't want to spoil anything. Very cool art film documentary with a good story. This is a cool event space it looks a little rough, but the movie picture quality and the sound were really good. Very close to the sound of a regular larger theatre. It has chairs and couches pretty comfortable for about 50 people. If you can catch a little small movie here or a band or a play or art exhibit check out that theater we had a good time they have a full bar. They didn't have popcorn that night, but he says they usually do. They also rent the space out for events and parties or a concert that you want play for your friends.

I love the quaintness of this theatre. I loved the quirky decor. And I really enjoyed their coffee as well. I came here during the winter when they were showing It's a Wonderful Life. Not only was it was my first time here at the this theatre, it was also my first time seeing this movie. Prior to the showing, a worker stood in front of the theatre to address the crowd with beautiful facts about the movie and Jimmy Stewart. It is an annual event, so if you are curious this is a great way to spend an afternoon. They also have a soap machine making what represents "Snow" outside as you enter the establishment. People also came dressed up in fun winter and Christmas gear. I highly recommend this being done at least once. And if not for this annual showing, any fun date.

I don't go to the movies more than once or twice a year for a variety of reasons (mainly due to the audience around me not being respectful and at the high cost of a movie ticket, I don't always see the value), but I wanted to see The Bride in a theater and I was thrilled to see it was playing here. The lovely ticket salesperson was very welcoming and a great representation of the theater. The concession/bartenders, however... I felt disliked and I try to lead with kindness so I'm not sure if it was a rough night or whatever. The guy cleaning the theater was also super nice and I felt bad that he was doing it on his own, given how inconsiderate movie patrons can be (is it so hard to take your trash out with you?) The movie experience itself was very good, with stadium style seating that I didn't expect. Prices are lower than at your typical AMC etc and I appreciated the wine selection. I also admired their community events and special showings. It reminded me a lot of one of my favorite arthouses in NYC, the Angelika.

It would be nice if someone did some pest control. We were absolutely ripped apart by fleas or mosquitos or chiggers or something waiting to purchase tickets; which also made the whole annoying process more irritating. Once in line, things were better. There's no kind of entertainment like line actors or even a video screen so dull but, the line moved pretty quickly and we only had about an hour wait. The sets were really well done and the atmosphere was great. The make up was terrible. Several times I was looking at an actor and just thinking 'what is going on with your face'. I know this was opening weekend so maybe they just haven't settled into their roles yet but the acting was also pretty bad. Many seemed to think the best way to scare people was just standing in front of them and screaming. One girl actually said 'help me'. Overall I enjoyed it.

So it's about $30 for a basic entry ticket (before fees) but as you pre-purchase the tickets online…read morethere is add-on after add-on offer which could essentially double the ticket price. I don't have a lot of experience with haunted houses etc but this was fairly well done from a structural point of view. The buildings and maze and props all well done, actors were fine not great. What I don't like beyond the add-on pricing was the fact we got here as they opened on a slow Tuesday night before just before Halloween. They coral you into different lines depending on the level of ticket you get. The basic entry had only about 50 people in front of us. Even though nobody was in the fast pass lines they didn't send people in efficiently or speedily. They made people wait and what should have take 5-10 minute took 45 min +. No bathroom options once you get inside. If you need to go as I didn't not expecting that wait for so few people you need to back out through the line to the porta potty outside and then swim your wave back through the line which at that point had grown 4x due to their inefficiency . Apparently they are trying to prove a point if you don't spend up to any of the higher price points they WILL make you wait even if there are no fast pass ticket holders and no backup. Once inside it probably only takes about 15-20 minutes to go through. Parking while easy the night we went but unorganized and people were parking behind cars to where they couldn't get out so be mindful how you park. Was it fun? MEH it was ok. Was I scared? Not at all, but got a laugh out of it. Overall it's too expensive, not well organized and punish you if you don't fast pass. I wouldn't return.

The show was fun and elegant. If you're able to, it's not a bad idea to pay the $25 for the ticket to reserve a table, but if they are all already reserved - just coming to the bar to enjoy the show is perfectly fine too (and easier in some ways since you can leave at your leisure). Great group in NOLA! Highly recommended if you like burlesque.
