Most amp/guitar techs are butchers, thieves, and just plain assholes. The guys at Crown are none of the above. They fixed my amp promptly and held great communication the entire process (so I knew what I was paying for). They also have a cool collection of vinyl, turntables, cool shirts, movies, etc. If you need your equipment fixed, this is the place to go!

Reminded me of a record shop that I used to frequent back in Queens, NY in the 90s. If you're into rock and metal, you'll definitely love the selection here. They had all kinds of cool albums, including some really interesting sets and Record Store Day releases that you just don't see everywhere. They also had a bunch of reggae, soul and dance LP's. Prices were a little bit higher than you could find online for most things, but there were some deals here and there. My daughter found a bunch of singles for a buck or two that we're going for more money on eBay. She was psyched. One thing that I was disappointed with was that the selection appeared to be like 95% new vinyl. I was hoping to find some used bins to look through but it was really slim pickens for diamonds in the rough. That aside, gotta love a record store like this. It's a humble location; it's in a quiet strip mall off Oakland Park blvd. Honestly, as we pulled in to the mostly empty parking lot I thought we had the wrong location. But as we entered I realized what few mall customers there were, were all in the shop. And what a nice space it was. Old school basic layout that I liked. Just boxes and boxes of vinyl to sift through. They were well organized, with punk, funk, and more all set in their areas. And the RSD specials were displayed above each of the areas they related to. It's not a huge store, but with the limited quantity it helped me find a couple things I liked. Glad to make the acquaintance of We Got the Beats, and hope to be back soon.

This record store surely has some well priced hard to find original music in addition to new digital remastered vinyl. Found a few original Kiss, B-52s and Ramones albums. They offer a box of absolutely FREE records with a limit of three per person. The store policy allows customers to test play vinyl on a phonograph before making any purchase - great policy.

Their selection is great, they have a wide assortment of new vinyl and some great used vinyl as well. I picked up a used live Kansas double LP for $8, a very fair price. I also bought a special 2 LP edition of Nirvana Bleach with a 1990 concert, Operation Ivy - Energy and the Minor Threat LP. All prices were either at market or slightly below. Staff was pleasant and helpful. I also liked that they had a listening station where you could check out used stuff. Overall, a very solid five stars. All the records were well organized and the prices seemed in line with what's available online perhaps a bit lower depending on what record you were looking for. Also the staff was very friendly and more than willing to help if we couldn't find something and even offered us some free stickers with our purchase! And your guide is the sweet and super friendly owner, Sebastian! He welcomed me as I walked in and asked if I was looking for anything specific. Unfortunately he didn't have the purse I was looking for at the time, but he did have all sorts of other fun things like 80s purses, holiday decor, fun costume jewelry, etc. I left with a pair of earrings I loved. The vibes are it! I absolutely loved the 80s decor, so much I thought about buying some of the furniture, but it wasn't for sale unfortunately. But it definitely makes for great photo ops with friends. The store is small but it is FULL of goodies. It's like a retro Eye Spy and I loved it. The staff seems to be hit or miss, times I have been greeted and they are very attentive with showing me where something I am looking for is where other times when I walk in there isn't one word said to me. Not a huge deal but I like consistency when it comes to friendly staff. The location is pretty huge and the shelves are pretty easy to find because everything is labeled pretty nicely but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to where they are located throughout the store. Prices are reasonable but there have been a few items I have found for slightly cheaper on ebay (including shipping) or other sites that specialize in vinyl records. I like that this place does have a nice amount of cassettes as well but I would like those to be organized a lot more than they currently are. The store is super clean and very well lit and I like that they offer listening parties for some upcoming albums that are very hyped!

Technique records was a pleasant detour on a trip down to Miami. This store has a huge selection of records in varying conditions and genres. Mini records, promo albums, albums from other countries, singles, and even new unopened records can be found here. There is also a section for local artist. They also have several $1 bins where you can find hidden gems if you have the patience. This store was pretty consistently busy and staff was always around if you needed help with something. There are two turntables available to listen to records before you buy (as long as they aren't sealed). Definitely stop in with some time to explore whether you are new to vinyls or a pro.
