I had an old aluminum table base that was covered with plastic... they weren't sure they could get the plastic off (it was 40 years old and REALLY stuck on), so I left it there for a few days so they could try it out and then call me with an estimate. Not only did they have the metallic color I wanted in stock, but they had a huge selection of other stock colors to choose from. Reagan charged me what I think is a fair price and called me to pick up my finish bike frame within a week. The service with this company starts out very impressive, with quick turn around and very fair pricing. From there is a steady list of issues from inconsistent pricing to poor quality. We sent about 20 large pieces through this shop and almost 1/3 of them had to be re shot for one reason or another. The amount of time wasted in dealing with defects etc was a huge mental and time drain. The sad story is there is no great powder coating shop in Austin but if i were to chose one i would avoid this particular outfit. read more

I had a big job of 40 pieces to have powder-coated. After doing extensive research to find a powder-coater that I felt comfortable with, I choose Commercial Services AKA Powder Coaters, Inc. I brought in a sample of the part, they had a set of sample color plates to choose from and that took the guess work out of choosing the correct color. They quoted a reasonable,per part rate and one week to complete the work, they were done right on time. Each part was individually wrapped, the finish was even, consistent and a perfect color match. I needed some machine parts stripped and powder-coated. Small parts, large parts, aluminum and steel, some had machined surfaces that required careful attention. Additionally two of the larger pieces needed some modification to the aluminum case. The modifications were subcontracted to a machine shop, then all the parts were carefully masked to protect machined surfaces. Media blasting was done in stages and with various media to remove paint, then aluminum oxide, then rust as need. This protected parts from being unnecessarily over blasted. Powder-coating followed. I was very impressed with the attention to detail they used. This wasn't exactly a simple job but well within their capabilities. They had all the solutions to my needs and I could not be more pleased with the finished product. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that the job took longer than originally estimated. But to be fair It did require subcontracting to a machine shop. As previously stated I am completely pleased with the end result. read more

I just had nine parts comprising a light-duty shop hoist powder coated. Being welded truss beams, the parts have lots of hard-to-reach surfaces. The results are fantastic! I could not be more pleased. The finish is exquisite, and coverage is 100%. They first removed all the weld-spatter, grease and grime using media blasting. Commercial Services is a small, family-owned business. The Operations Manager, Reagan, worked with me to use a process to meet my specific needs. He came out to meet me when I picked up the parts to see what I thought about the results. I met three different people during the entire transaction, and everyone was extremely nice. When I picked up, each part was individually-wrapped in new foam packing material. I was extremely pleased with the pricing, turn-around time, results, and personal attention. They will rip you off. Dropped off a sign to get powder coated. They unloaded the sign. I re-confirmed the cost with the head guy... He looked at the sign and said $5.00 a square foot. Called me 2 weeks later.... went to pick it up and they charged me $12.50 a square foot. They lie. Not Honest. unethical. They will rip you off. Bait and switch. You just cant find honest business anymore..... it's very sad. read more

I recently had a BMX bike powder coated by these guys and they did a great job.
