Man, I forgot the guys name but I think it's Jose, he is the owner and I couldn't have asked for a better person to deal with. I needed a couple of motorcycle parts powder coated black, the exact color didn't really matter much but he showed me a color that he was about to use on some other parts (satin black I believe) and he said he could save me some money if I went with the same color since he was already planning on using it for another job. I was trying to restore a garden sculpture that had lost its original luster and color. After 9 years exposed to the sun and rain, it definitely needed some loving care. After contacting the original artist, he told me that powder coating was the right process to attain the results I was trying to achieve. I checked locally and found another place, but the price quote of powder coating the item was really close to the price of buying a complete new sculpture. Also, they proposed to start with sandblasting to clean the sculpture. Then, I went to Diamond Powder Coating and talked to José. He explained to me that sandblasting was the standard process to clean the sculpture, but that would erase any "texture" that the artist imprinted on the ribbon metal. Then, after being pensive for few seconds, he said, "this is going to take few more steps but I'm going to strip the original paint with a chemical to avoid loosing the artists marks, then heat the piece in the industrial oven, hand clean it and finally do the 'candy' powder coating finish... I think it will look very nice" The results were truly amazing. Perhaps even better than the original color and finish from the original manufacturer. The price was reasonable and he had it ready in just 3 days. Good communication and good results. Highly recommended. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about Jose and the team at Diamond Powder Coating. I did a full restomod on a JDM Subaru Sambar kei-truck. I had a custom grille guard fabricated for it and was able to find some rims that fit the design (though the wrong color). Jose got the grille guard and headache rack looking PERFECT with a textured black coating. Not only that, but was able to get the wheels prepped and coated in a nice satin gold that went perfect with the STi tribute color palette. I do not recommend this place AT ALL! They have the artistic eye of a blind bat. I took a sample of the powder coat I wanted on a part I previously coated. I told them the name of the color from Eastwood, as Smoke Chrome. Smoke CHROME is just that a chrome/silver color that has a smokey tint to it. They have many colors to chose from even ones that more closely resemble the color I wanted than the color they picked. They send a unrecognizable pic of the color they want to use. I don't understand why, when they have a exact color sample I left with them. After a week and a day I go to pick up and it is plain as day the wrong color! A DARK GRAY! No where a chrome silver color! I even mentioned to the boy,who was more interested in his phone than customer service, After I said it was too dark to him......he said nothing! Also had to ask for a receipt. I just took my parts and got away from there as fast as possible! I guess they can only handle simple plain colors black, red, Color blind, over priced and slow.... Why would anyone go there for powder coating ever? read more
