I used to walk by this rolling into Planet Fitness, and think, "I hope not to end up in there."…read moreHaving been through a number of knee surgeries, ski accidents, hernias, and more the moment has arrived. My family doctor raved about this practice, as I met him after a unfortunate double black diamond slope. Definitely don't go 40 mph to 0mph at complete stopping speed. Physics in this case is "problematic." While I did appreciate the snowmobile ride, from a truly nutty firefighter I had heard of, next year hoping no encore will be happening. This incident left my back spasms, and some lovely contusions I believe they are called. My doc gave me some muscle relaxers, which were similar to Mike Tyson punching me in the face. Also he had the unfortunate experience, of my gluteus Maximus in the air, administering a muscle relaxer that way. Needles tend not to affect me, but it looked like it was for a horse. While I did grow a mane and a tail, it was only a temporary side effect. When I walked in here, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Yet the suspicious/skeptical part of me, wasn't sold quite yet as I just wasn't sure a chiropractor would be able to do anything. As a man I'll never admit to being wrong due to man laws, but my thoughts were incorrect. All of the staff here are great, as the office and medical folks are a lot of fun. There's a lot of positivity here, and they with the electrical machinery, ultrasound, and electric shock collar have changed things a lot. Ok the electric shock collar is a joke. The wonderful ladies here, reminded me an important lesson from my days as a student athlete. Stretching is important. While I'll trade my hamstrings for a pack of $5 Chuck wine from Trader Joe's, they've helped loosen these up. Light jogs and workout sessions are proving the strings are working better. No back spasms since going here. Dr Finch is awesome. She is truly caring, and has after getting me to relax, feel a lot younger than my bald head and greying hair may indicate. The first sessions were ok, yet every appointment gets better and better. Today she did a maneuver on my neck, and yes I am back to being 25 again. Am a very grateful man. After Dr Persauds constant fighting my Scottish tenacity with the benefits of diet change, plus these sessions at this office, I'm feeling much better. The main goals at this point of life are to support my 13 year old son, and to find my next ex wife. Thanks to the combined help of Virginia Family Medicine, and this wonderful practice, this benevolent bad boy is one step closer to being at 100%. Thank you to the folks here, as my hats off in respect to Dr Finch and all here. Based on how I feel about them, I have recommended them to my folks. Those of you who know me, know of how protective I am. If that doesn't provide direct evidence of why to go here, I don't know what to do, but it's important to take care of yourself. Physical, mental, and emotional health are connected!

Searched for chiropractors on Yelp, view the search list, looked at the stars, read the reviews, decided on Kingstowne Family Chiropractic. 1/3/25 approximately 1:30pm I walk in, no one in sight, 1 minute later a friendly face appears "hello can I help you". I say hello are you taking new patients, the woman responded "yes", I followed with I need an adjustment today if possible but I'll take the next available appointment, I'm in pain and have discomfort in my neck, shoulders and hips. The woman immediately asked me about insurance, I provided her the insurance information but informed her my policy did not take effect until February and that I would be paying out of pocket. Immediately the woman says "we don't take your insurance", I said no problem I'll pay out of pocket. Immediately the woman say "well we're about to close but I can refer you to Dr. Connolly at the Spine Center, he takes your insurance ". I said I understand but I'm in pain and I'm paying out of pocket as my insurance does not take effect until February, the woman writes Dr. Connolly's name on the back of her business card and says "he can help you, we're about to close and I'm going on vacation so I can't schedule you". I said thank you and enjoy your vacation, I walk out the door, drive over to visit Dr. Connolly at the Spine Center... it's closed. I'm not sure why I was dismissed as I was at Kingstowne Family Chiropractic which had such great reviews but this is certainly not a practice that cares about a person being in pain and having chiropractic discomfort. * I would also like to add, I think the majority of the reviews on Yelp are fake, with the exception of my recent review, the reviews for the business are all from years ago, all 5 star, and the reviewers have little to no pictures or other reviews/contributions... that is definitely a red flag.

I've seen maybe 15 chiropractors in my life for various back and neck ailments. Half of them were no good. The other half were good and brought the ongoing relief that I needed. Dr. Piokowski is in the top of that group of excellent chiropractors. He's patient, takes extra time to explain what he is going to do, and manipulates you with only the right amount of force to adjust you. Also, he is a great guy and anyone who brings his dog to work will put you at ease right away. As an example of his focus on you, during one visit I thought I was done and headed to the exit. But something didn't feel quite right in my neck - I think it stiffened up again before I made it out the door. He immediately called me right back into the room and made the extra adjustment and asked me to wait five minutes to see if my neck was going to stiffen again. Truly focused on your health. And I don't even write that many Yelp reviews, but I wanted to be sure that you know that he is good, very reasonably priced for those of us who have limited chiropractic insurance coverage or pay cash, and you will get the cracks and relief that you need to get back to your normal. An excellent practitioner.

But to start: He genuinely cares about his patients. Not just the one on one care for PT, but as you as a person! I get to spend an hour with him and have really good conversation along with getting excellent care. He is very "hands on" which I appreciate. He listens to your concerns. And he goes hands-on whether it be massage or be cupping. And then gives you exercises and make sure you don't leave until you understand what you have to do. I even convinced my own wife to give Jordan a try as her PT and she truly understood what I was talking about. The front office staff is always helpful and polite Every time I call she picks up immediately and it's very helpful. They take my type of insurance which would be a dealbreaker if they did not accept Blue Cross Blue Shield. Every appointment with Dr Jordan, I leave feeling heard, encouraged, and like real progress is being made. If you're looking for a PT who will treat you like a whole person and not just a case file, look no further. Highest possible recommendation! It'll be a sad day when I no longer have any PT issues.
