Ever…read more Aside from the fact that its location inside of a Schnuck's (which is genius, by the way -- cuts out two errands at one time!) means that the office hours are extended until 7pm on weeknights, this branch has some of the best staff I've ever worked with. Not only are they incredibly quick and competent, these are some of the warmest, friendliest people I have ever encountered behind a bank counter. Embarrassing story that shows just how nice they are: one time I stopped by to deposit a check, and as I was filling out the counter slip, I ended up spilling water all over it. So awkward, right? But the staff is so nice that they didn't even laugh at me. Instead, the ladies behind the counter grabbed some paper towels, and told me that if I laid the check flat to dry, I could come back the next day and it would be just fine to deposit. Needless to say, I will be stopping by this branch with many more of my future deposits. And a fully-sealed water bottle.

He has dimentia and has been living in a memory care unit for a couple years already. We had a letter from his doctor stating he has dimentia, lives in a memory care unit, and "he has difficulty following one step instructions, knows his name only and has not managed his finances for the last 5 years." It took three weeks(!) for their legal department and Will Carson (the banker at the Webster branch) to come back and say the doctor's comments weren't enough to show my father is incapacitated. They said the doctor didn't make it clear that he's incapacitated due to the dimentia even though she stated he's in a memory care unit "secondary to neurocognitive decline". PNC went so far as to speculate that my father might just be lazy and that's why he's not handling his own finances. Will Carson stated: "The current statement of "has not managed his finances for the last five years" isn't dependent to his current health. They see it as (him) just not doing the task." My father with dimentia is just lazy I guess. Thankfully, as this process dragged on for weeks, and the closing date was approaching, I walked down the street to Chase bank to start the same process. They were wonderful. Using the exact same documents, the whole process took three days. I just can't believe they asserted that my father is simply being lazy.

It was my first time obtaining a cashiers check and the entire process was effortless and easy. US bank has changed a few service options that at one point were free but now they charge.
