We picked Pulaski Bank as our primary baking location because of its proximity to home. It's extremely convenient to make deposits, ATM withdrawals, and to pick up quarters for laundry.
It was fairly easy to set up an account and the ladies have typically been helpful with anything we've needed over the last 2 years. I always feel safe when I'm there because of the friendly security guard on duty. They've been helpful when we've needed to travel overseas and it's nice that the manager seems to know who we are.
They offer all the standard banking services: lending services, checking/savings, safety deposit boxes, and money transfers. However, currency conversion is a total rip-off here--the rate was horrible and it was $20 to have foreign currency sent in. I don't think they perform this service frequently because I got some confused looks when I requested it. Also, I don't get the impression that Pulaski Bank has the most advanced online banking tools.
They have 13 branches in St. Louis and other services in the Midwest, so if you like supporting local business, it's great, but it certainly not as ubiquitous as some of the major banks.
Pulaski Bank downtown meets our personal banking needs superbly, and I'd recommend it to our neighbors. read more
