Call center for Straight Talk in a foreign country. No help, no order number, no invoice, nothing. Went to Security Bank and was told no problem but I needed to wait 30 days to report. I purchased same thing at Walmart since it was Xmas gift. After 30 days I went in to bank and filled out affidavit. A week later Security Bank sent letter saying I was denied and was just out the money. What about the month of service for the phone that was never received nor activated ? Sorry, you are just out. What kind of bank does that to a 70 year old long time customer? You have zero protection if you use Security Bank debit card. My new bank said that should never have happened.

But every so often I deal with someone who just drops the ball and doesn't withhold them same quality of service. If it were a small deal, I'd over look it. But there was one recent error on the banks part that ended up costing me 90 minutes on an international phone call to sort out. At $2/minute I was extremely frustrated at the problem and then the additional cost to me, the customer while I waited for them to fix their error. I'm not to the point where I'd recommend this bank to others, but I want to give them credit for the improved level of service minus that one major issue.

They charged us $0.01 before we'd withdrawn anything and couldn't explain where the charge came from. We had to drive there to make a payment for one penny. Ridiculous! We never received a monthly statement showing what our payment was (it will be different every month until the end of construction). Turns out they don't generate the statement until midnight on the day before it's due. Then they mail it out, which means they're setting people up to be late on payments, as mail service is so slow. Very shady. To avoid being late due to NOT getting a statement before the bill is due, I made a True Blue account to pay our interest payments for the month we started drawing from that account to pay for construction bills. They had me verify the account I was using to pay it from, which is fine. But when they asked for my login and password information to verify my personal bank account that I was using to pay it from (not an account with them) I just stopped the entire transaction. I can't believe how much time and effort I have spent just trying to pay the bill on time. We will now have to drive there and pay it, which is a 30-minute drive from where I live, which is absurd.
