The folks at Commando Plumbing responded quickly and were able to arrange for a plumber to come out the same day. He took care of the drainage issue and another toilet leak issue which we brought up while he was there. The value seemed really good since there was a discount applied for multiple services on one trip. read more

Charged $700 for a single person to perform less than two hours of work (two hair clogs and re-tightening a pipe). We were quoted at $400 and assured that the cost would remain at that after explaining that the clog was occurring on the third and first level of a tri-level townhome. They got there about an hour late and when they got there, they quoted significantly higher. Specifically, we were quoted $600 from a different company and separately $500 for the same amount of work and the same next day service from someone we previously used. They said their rate is $325 per drain way clog unclogged and $150 for reassembling the sink drain pipes (p trap and whatnot). The person giving initial quote assumed that the third and first floor clog were coming from the same place. Looking back it does look like they have kept their prices the same since 2022. They took care of the issue, and it was next day service, but at the price they quoted, I'd recommend someone local to Hayward, CA AND asking for an hourly rate. read more

We had a mysterious water leak in the ceiling of our garage which is shared with an upstairs neighbor (condo). We had a another company come out for an estimate first. They spent about 30 minutes and didn't touch anything. They said we would have to pay $1300 for a "3 step diagnosis" to find the problem. I sent a request on yelp and commando responded quickly and came the next day and opened up the ceiling and diagnosed the problem in 15 minutes. The technician really got his hands dirty diagnosing the problem, he even had a bunch of water dumped on him when he opened the ceiling more and he still pursued finding the problem with a smile on his face. He clearly explained the issue and provided a fair estimate for the repair on the spot. He also offered to be available the next morning with a companion to fix the problem. They showed up on time, fixed the problem and came in below the estimate. We are so so happy we chose Commando and highly recommend them! read more

Commando plumbing quickly scheduled an emergency appointment (Quick response time) to investigate our drainage and sewer issue as soon as I discovered it and posted on Yelp. Abraham helped to schedule the call after his quick response. Jose from Commando plumbing arrived timely within the appointment window and checked our crawl space thoroughly. He identified two other potential problems and showed them to us. His honest opinion on our other sewage issues without forcing to fix them was worth appreciation. Once the job was scheduled, he brought his team - Sebastian, etc. who were very quick in resolving the issue and also performed a good finishing on the exterior stucco and interior wall with top quality painting, etc. They left our place with all the problems fixed The quality of the work is amazing and great value. read more

Our water lines are leaking and have been for months. And "Me and Patti" didn't know. Commando responded quickly. They assessed the problem and it couldn't have been worse. The whole water and sewer systems had to be replaced. Commando gave "Me and Patti" a quote. We said ok and the whole job was done in two days. We couldn't be happier. Professional, quick service. Great cleanup too. "Me and Patti " just wanted to say thank you to Commando plumbers for everything. read more

Javier at Commando Plumbing just came in and took care of my plumbing needs quickly and with a good price. I jneeded to undo the spider web of plumbing under my kitchen sink to get a fridge shutoff valve and remove an old reverse osmosis system. It required some basic plumbing. I called other places that would bring someone out for a quote and then assess the price and then schedule a follow up to do the actual work. Commando took the information over the phone and gave a preliminary quote (most won't do that) and then sent someone to do the work - we got it done in one shot. Javier was excellent - very respectful, knowledgeable, and did great work. He simplified my plumbing and set us up in case we want to add more in the future. I'll definitely use them again. read more

I had a leaky bathroom faucet and a backed up drain. I called Commando Plumbing and Javier came out to take a look at the situation. He said that I needed a new faucet, so we picked one out and he ordered it and once it was authorized, a date was set for him to come back and take care of this project. he came back and changed the faucet with no problem, then snaked and unclogged the drain. It was an excellent experience working with him as well as the office manager and staff. They were all very responsive, caring,, professional and helpful. I highly recommend this company. read more

Needed a fix for a clogged kitchen sync. Was quoted $325 which was on the higher end of the market but they could do same day so I went with it. Crew came on-site as scheduled, did a review, and confirmed the $325 quote. Team got to work, unclogged with snake, but this is where the problems began. Crew couldnt put pipes back together and water kept leaking from drain. Spent 1 hr trying to fix our pipes and ultimately was told we had to replace our kitchen disposer because it was "too old". To add this service, was an extra $425...a kitchen disposer typically runs $100-150 for the one they provided, but to charge $200+ for install just seemed ridiculous, and we didnt have a choice. Lastly, tried to use 10% discount code on yelp, but crew spoke no english, only spanish. As such, wasn't able to use the code. Quite disappointed overall. Able to fix our plug in the end after 3 hrs but overcharged quite a bit...total $750 just to fix a drain plug... read more

5:00 Saturday night, 15 people coming over tomorrow. Both toilets and showers are blocked with foul substances oozing out of all the drains.Called at 5:30, they said someone could be out at 7. They showed up at 6:30. An hour later everything is flowing better than it has for months. Everything is back in place and clean. We've used Commando for years so this isn't super surprising but when something goes wrong, they've got your back. read more

Leo did a great job replacing a rusty gas line from the meter into our home. Definitely recommend!

I happened to contact them on Memorial Day weekend, and was surprised to not only get a response but they were able to come out early the next day to help me with a clogged line. Other companies were trying to sell me on extremely expensive solutions. Victor said he could fix my clog by retrieving the stuck object instead of the more expensive Hydrojetting or extremely expensive excavation! He showed up on time, and promptly delivered what he said he could do. I would completely recommend this company for your plumbing needs! read more

Leo and Juan are great, they fixed a leak in my ceiling from a shower drain, and I would hire them for any plumbing problems that arise in the future. Leo arrived on time in the afternoon to give a quote, and once I agreed, he called his coworker Juan and it was fixed in the same afternoon. Leo explained to me the issue and they seemed thorough -- after fixing the obvious source of the leak (the pipe had a hole in it), they checked for other possible leaks. The entire experience was great and I felt the price was reasonable. read more

They were resposive, showed up on time, explained options and patiently answered all the questions and addressed all concerns and price matched for a broken heater with tankless heater. This is belated but I want to personally thank Victor at Commando Plumbing for honoring his "free diagnosis" promise. Last year, Commando Plumbing did an excellent job diagnosing and doing surgery on a section of the sewer line that had been penetrated by tree roots. Then last month, I had a water leak at my rental house near where the lateral for the house connects to the city meter. When I called Commando for a quote to come diagnose the problem, Victor answered the phone and said the diagnosis would be free because I was a prior client. Two techs came out as promised the next morning and noticed that the leak was coming from underneath a 3'x5' cement slab. They said they would have to break the cement to diagnose the problem, to which I asked, how much it would cost to break the cement and dig to diagnose the problem. And again, the tech said the work was all included in the free diagnosis. They proceeded to break the cement, dug out the area around the leaking pipe, and then finally gave me an estimate. However, the estimate was very high, over $5k. So I called Victor and said, at that price, I would have to get 1-2 more bids. And I also told Victor, if I did not hire Commando for the repair, then I would pay for the cement and digging work. Victor acknowledged at this point that he and the techs had a misunderstanding and that they should have charged for the cement/digging work. Even though I had no obligation to pay for the cement/digging work (since Victor and his techs both said they were included in the free diagnosis), I felt it was only fair that I paid something to Commando for the digging if I didn't hire them. Well, I found another company who offered a lower price, so I called Victor to offer to pay something for the cement/digging work. But Victor declined my offer! He said it was totally his and his techs' fault for not communicating clearly and that he would honor the "free diagnosis". This was very kind and honest. I will definitely call Commando again for future plumbing needs. read more

I worked with Marvin Gonzalez and the following crew members Alex, Kevin, Ronaldo, Bryan and Juan. A situation that was devastating they made the process very smooth. It was very apparent they truly care about their customers, what's best for the customer and how well they work together as a team showed on many levels. Leo did a great job fixing our shower leak. We called on Friday after seeing water dripping from the ceiling, and Leo came immediately to assess the issue. Really appreciate Commando plumbing's help. I had a slow draining kitchen sink, and Marvin was awesome and knocked things out. He used a camera to visually inspect the drain before doing any work or charging me anything/as part of the estimate. I could see what the problem was before any work was done. He patiently assessed and explained the options. He was knowledgeable and efficient and it makes all the difference when you're trying to figure out who you can trust. If future work comes up, I will request him by name again. Thank you Marvin read more
