Also, with the upcoming holidays, you can find table settings, serving pieces, that will make your table an elegant showpiece. The ladies who staff the store, are a delight. They are always excited to assist you and really love it when you share stories of your purchases. My most recent purchase, a large tea towel called, Bartenders Guide, is going to be framed. When I told the owner what I going to do, she asked me to send her a pic when it was completed. She was almost as excited as I was to find this towel and to do something creative with it. He showed him the little doodad we needed and the guy took off and actually found one! My husband took out his wallet to pay and this nice man said, "no charge - I love scavenger hunts!" It couldn't have cost more than a dollar or two, but the service and attitude was priceless. We'll be back!

Shelves are a little bare boned and staff members are a little uninterested in helping. There are better deals on smaller items than larger items. I watch the decor influencers in bigger cities and they show such great items coming from Homegoods. I asked about why I never saw the same type of things at the Columbia MO Homegoods. I was told corporate shops for the area the store is in. Since Columbia is only mid-sized does this mean we don't also like the good stuff that the bigger cities see? I think that is a very generalized if not biased opinion. We have good taste also even though we are on a smaller area. We are a collage and medical town. Even if we weren't, all people deserve to have the great items available to them without having to go out of town to get them. And lastly, the temperature at which you keep your stores is off-putting. The idea is to keep your stores at a pleasing temperature, so people will want to shop longer, not to sweat them out. Please consider adjusting your temperatures. It has to be especially hard on your employees who can't leave to cool down. Food for thought.

What an absolutely, lovely store, truly in the middle of nowhere. Stover, Missouri to be exact. The…read moretown is so small, if you blink, you might miss this gorgeous oasis on the main drag. The very nice lady inside the store came out when she saw me walking around the patio outside. She told me the owners have another store in Cabo San Lucas, on the Mexican gold coast. The store is beautiful inside and out. The flowers and plants blooming outside were gorgeous. The store inside is spotless, impeccably designed and the art pieces were amazing. the seem to be mostly clay creations, all with a Latino feel. There were also metal art pieces as well as candles and furniture. The prices might seem a bit much for the Missouri area, but if they were in SoCal, the prices might be considered downright cheap! I didn't bring my phone in with me but I will definitely be back and hope to purchase more pieces in the future. Don't hesitate to stop if you're passing through Stover.
